Stopped by for a quick bite and was very pleased. Friendly service, good selection, fresh and healthy food, trendy style, indoor and outdoor seating. We don’t live in Austin but will have to come back by when we are in town. I got the Buda bowl which was amazing!!! My husband got the Greek salad and enjoyed it as well.

It was a great experience at the Café, The model is a little different as pretty much everything is self-serve, but they bring you your food. Having people check on you, and maybe get you a drink refill would be a nice touch and help you turn tables faster.

Good food and it’s natural. Gluten free if you desire. The tea was fantastic. The chairs were kind of hard. Place is a little expensive, but it is high quality food. Give it a try.

Refreshing to have this restaurant on this part of Mesa. The people are friendly, service is prompt, food is delicious. Love their burgers, pretty good for flat top. Also love that they have a little outdoor seating, nothing fancy but only option in the area if you have your pup with you.

Love the food at Galaxy Café! Uncomplicated, consistent & delicious. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner(haven’t tried their breakfast/brunch yet). My favorite item on the menu is the sweet potato fries! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Service is great… almost everyone is helpful & friendly. Wish the lighting was a bit brighter in the restaurant.

Finally a good neighborhood place! NW Hills needed a nice neighborhood restaurant that was casual with good food! Thank you Galaxy for taking a chance on our neighborhood! Food is consistently good from breakfast to dinner and the local beers on tap are a winner as well.

Healthier choice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Mediterranean breakfast is light and won’t weigh you done. Galaxy’s signature ice coffee is very tasty sweetened or unsweet. The patio is a nice place to have a coffee and people watch.

Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Spacious interior layout. Friendly, casual environment and generous staff. They gave us a free snicker doodle cookie on Halloween night! Great food. Great music.

I love love love this place. The food is solid.(Burgers, spinach salad, turkey chili = awesome, and the crème brûlée is surprisingly delicious & decadent!) They carry local beers.(And have good happy hour prices! Some pints for $ 3!) But more important than anything is the staff and the customer service. Every employee I’ve dealt with here has been helpful and friendly. The managers(or maybe shift leaders?) are awesome! They are consistently(but not overwhelmingly) checking on patrons, making sure everyone is well taken care of! Mark & Lisa are super and there’s another female managers(or shift leader) I’ve encounter during the day shift, who’s name I haven’t gotten, that was also great. I live a couple blocks away and feel so lucky to have this in the neighborhood. (Also, they now have a few tables outside and are dog friendly!!) Galaxy café don’t ever leave Mesa drive!!! I love you!

I finally stopped by this place for breakfast this morning. The newest of a locally owned and operated chain, it is on one of my paths to work each morning. Very convenient location for me with easy access on Mesa between Spicewood Springs Road and Steck Avenue. I enjoyed a very good Lumberjack Wrap that really took care of my morning bacon fix. The giant tortilla was fresh and hot with just the right mixture of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and cheese. There was an option to add avocado as well but I passed. Avocado covers too much flavor of other ingredients in my opionion and I’m not a big fan. Anyway, the wrap was great and the fresh french pressed house coffee was a great addition to my meal as well. Very nice menu and I’ll be back to try some of the other items for sure. You could build your own wrap with flour, wheat or spinish tortillas and the ingredients options had several types of cheeses(including smoked gouda), meats and veggies. Also, several traditional breakfast selections as well as a stocked a la carte menu. Oh … and I’m past the age for this, but I also noticed a kids menu as well. Impressive place, really top notch! Did I mention these guys also own Top Notch. I’ll definitely be back. Heck I’ve only seen the breakfast menu in detail. There are also lunch, dinner, gluten free and catering menus!

This place is a bit. of alright. Food was good and the atmosphere worked for me. The chicken breast I had was a little over cooked making it dry. I’ll be back.

Galaxy is locally owned and operated by the same Austinites that run Top Notch and Zocalo Café. This is the fourth and newest location of Galaxy in Austin. It’s nice to finally have a consistent, reliable, and no frills community café in the Northwest hills area. The interior is space themed, open, and casual. It is busy, but has never been noisy or hectic. When you walk into the café you will want to select one of the many menus that greets you(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Gluten Free, or Coffee Menu). Once you have selected your meal option, you will walk down to the counter to order, and select something to drink(beer on tap/bottled, wine by the glass, frozen margarita, or Maine Root soda). You will receive a number and then grab one of the open tables to wait for your food to be served to you. There are recently hired staff being trained up, but we have never had any issues. The staff are incredibly friendly, timely, and customer service oriented. They always come by to ask how things are, and inquire about our experience. The food is cooked fresh, nothing pre-cooked and waiting on burners. They source their ingredients from locally owned businesses. Their meats and eggs are all natural free range hormone and antibiotic free. Plus, even their ketchup is 100% natural and high fructose corn syrup free. You can see an establishment’s true commitment to natural ingredients by checking the ketchup. Everything we have had here is good. It’s nothing fancy. But, it’s tasty. The burgers are above average and have a nice wood smoked taste. I loved the Brie Burger. The gluten free bun is one of the best I have had, and is actually worth eating(it didn’t apart into pieces). The sweet potato fries are VERY tasty. My husband loved the meatloaf, it had a spicy kick to it. The steak strips in the wrap are tender and delicious. However, the gluten free rice wrap does fall apart. I haven’t yet met a rice wrap that stays together. The Greek salad is delicious, and the additional chicken moist and flavorful. The gluten free strawberry muffin is made onsite and are AMAZING. It’s one of the best GF muffins I have had. It was moist and scrumptious. I am dreaming about having one of those in the morning with a cup of coffee. Their GF chocolate torte is also made in-house and sinfully good. I wish they served it with a scoop of ice cream. The torte is rich, but not heavy. It is shareable. There is a to go menu, and you can order to take away. They did an excellent job of packaging my salad up and it still looked and tasted delicious later. I noticed many people were coming in to pick up orders they had called in. They do have free WIFI, just ask the counter staff for the password. They also serve brunch on the weekends until 4pm, something up next for me to try.

So pleased they have another location. We love this place for quick easy, relatively healthy(although gigantic!) lunches — I always have one of their wraps — normally the fish wrap, with a delicious jalepeño-lime sauce and a side of sweet potato fries(and if I’ve got the space a cookie to go.) There can be pretty long queues at lunchtime(it’s not table service) so definitely go early or late to avoid the rush. And make sure you can find somewhere to sit and eat. Child friendly, dog friendly outside — everybody friendly. It’s a great neighbourhood café. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Not somewhere I would suggest you drive great distances out of your way to go to — but definitely stick your head in if you’re hungry in the neighbourhood!

This place has ok food, it’s not great food. Therefore I think the prices are high and the portions are small. Don’t get me wrong small portions are a good thing but I’m not paying a high price for ok food. Go check it out for yourself but don’t say I didn’t warn you. The breakfast is reasonably price but honestly again it’s just ok. Sad to say but I probably won’t go back, I only break the bank for the good stuff! Man nothing can make it in this location, it’s had a string of failures in and out of there. Good luck to the next one to come in!

Galaxy is great for some quick, good food in the area. Their breakfast and their lunch are equally good, but honestly nothing to write home about. I think the big seller here is their speed and the ambiance. Great for an easy Saturday/Sunday breakfast or lunch on your way out to do something!

We live in the neighborhood and have been dying for a yummy, reliable restaurant away from the craziness of Anderson. This Galaxy is perfect for us. It’s super family friendly, great menu choices, and not over crowded(yet). We LOVE coming here because we can have a nice meal, a beer, and not stress about traffic or the babies. The first week they were on top of everything. The owner was super nice making sure we were well cared for. We have already been back several times and everything has continued to be great. You can tell that even the high school age staff have been well-trained. Speaking of, I like that they hired local teens. That’s just so nice and unpretentious. This is our new spot. Get the Buddha bowl. For real.

Two words: growing pains. We visited Galaxy Café for breakfast, and our experience was meh. The location is good and the interior is nice. The staff was friendly, but they were very young and woefully inexperienced. It took a long time for the person at the register to ring in our order, and the food runners were wandering aimlessly around the(quite small) restaurant with food in their hands. I had to chase our food because it was on its way back to the kitchen. I had the veggie wrap with black beans. It was fine, but far from great. My girlfriend had the quiche. It was lukewarm, way too salty, and tasted strange. Too much spinach and feta, not enough egg. This place has potential, so I’m not writing it off yet. But I’ll definitely wait for the kitchen and FOH staff to up their chops before I return.

Excellent service. great Mac and cheese! I loved it. The pasta was good but the sauce was too strong. They just opened and everyone tried to help us. The mimosa was perfect as well! I loved the Parmesan cheese. The kids meal was a perfect size for me because it was not huge! I thought the Mac and cheese was incredibly cheesy! The Parmesan was good as well. Will try sandwich next time!

Tried out the new Galaxy Café today and it was spot on like their other location. Great Cheeseburger(cheddar) with added freshly grilled jalapeños for a added little heat. Totally digging the décor and build out of this new Galaxy location, nice work!
