So I was given a 25 dollar gift certificate for Christmas. I’m unable to use it though since my lunch is normally 10 dollars and they can’t give me the difference back. So basically they told me I had to just forfeit the difference. What’s the point of a gift card if I can’t use it as I want to? I’d love it someone would contact me to discuss this.

I love this place. It’s always nice to be able to stir fry your own way. Great to grab your food to go…

Ok, first time here and for this trip, giving it a 3 star because the meal was free(scored myself some fire bucks). I myself am not a fan of these so called Asian — American themed restaurants. They never seem to get the taste right(at least not what I’m used to growing up in Hawaii and having a China town district). Anyways, it seems very popular with the white community. Ha, ha(had a line). Anyways, my wife herself is particular to just one dish, which is the beef chow fun(we have had limited success finding a place here in Texas that actually uses the correct chow fun type of noodles). When her meal came out, she let me try a taste before she finished it off(topping it off with Tabasco, which she always carries). I did like the taste of the noodles and vegetables– which really out ratioed the meat. When I got to the meat, I was pleasantly surprised that it had taste. My wife on the other hand didn’t really care for the taste or the proportion size(looking around at other diners and their meal, their servings almost overflowed the bowl). All in all, we would not come back here, if not for the fact that I still have some of their fire bucks(which has no expiration date and has no limit to the amount used — you just won’t get cash back)

I have never had a bad experience here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the food tastes great. It has never been greasy unlike other chinese places I usually have issues with. I love the crap ragoons and pad thai. And thanks for putting out to go containers and containers for extra sauces to go.

Lots of noodle options as well as protein options to create the perfect dish. The dining room is clean and organized and the staff is friendly and fast.

I ordered the General Tso’s chicken. The fried rice was salty and completely saturated with oil juices that puddled at the bottom of the container. Almost like a stew. I hesitate to give 3 stars because it’s defined as «A-OK» and the dish was not A-OK. However it’s nice inside, service was fast and friendly so I’d go again but would try something different.

Usually I never have complaints about this place. The food is good for it being kind of a fast food-ish place. It’s not authentic at all but it’s not bad. Tonight my boyfriend ordered me a to-go order online and paid. I walked in and went to the to-go line and waited for about 7 minutes. The manager was there prepping food but the cashier girl(dark rimmed glasses/bifocals) just stood there. I don’t know if she couldn’t see me or what. But then she gets my order and won’t give it to me because she thinks I didn’t pay. I told her my boyfriend paid. She had to ask the manager. Usually I don’t have this issue. I go in, grab food and walk out. Picking up my order took about 15 minutes. It was stupid. It’s not worth it.

2 cups of Tom Kha soup &3 pork egg rolls. Tasty, cheap, filling, fresh, fast. 2 can do this meal for under $ 13. Nuff said. There’s plenty of other decent pricier stuff on the menu but you’ll get good bang for the buck with this combo. Nice interior. Casual. Four tops & half booths. Austin Chronicles at the door. Plenty of parking. Walking distance to Arbor Theater. Friendly staffers deserve a good tip esp considering the value. Cue up. Order at counter. Get a number. Self serve fountain drinks. Maine Root sodas & bottled beer in the cooler you hit before you order. Good selection of condiments by the soda fountain. Dump a lot of chili oil & dash of soy sauce in that Tom Kah. Stir well. Enjoy! Good for take out too. Never screwed up a to go order.

This location is very busy. Not very tidy/clean. Went to change my daughters diaper and the changing station was literally held up by tape! Not a lot of parking. Food was good, just not family friendly and uncomfortable.

This place reminds a lot like pei wei. They seem to have a little bit more variety in their menu though. They were a little busy at lunchtime, but handled the lunch crowd very well. I ordered the lettuce wrap platter which was good, a little more complex than pei wei’s. I gave them a 3 star rating because I would come back again, but it’s not my first choice in the least. I would rather go to pei wei though if given the option.

I like this place for the different kinds of sauce they have on their menu. I love the schezwan garlic sauce with rice vermicelli. They’ve a lot of options. Their portions are good. Only concern I’ve with the place is the amount of oil they use in all their dishes. Health freaks might not find this appealing.

Good food and prices. Vegan and gluten free options. *This is an edit* Called to place a to-go order today. Asked the lady taking my order what was in the springs rolls because I have food allergies. She says«I don’t know, a lot of veggies» Are you serious? Highly unprofessional. I was sort of in shock that someone could be that much of a jackass at their job. I am going to make a complaint with their corporate office. Food allergies are no joke, or at least to me they aren’t.

Love this place. I want to write this review to tell them to take that«Fiery Spud» off their menu. It’s not fiery at all. I had to add hot sauce to it to make it somewhat spicy. Either change the label to say«Sweet and Sour Spud», but don’t call it «Fiery Spud» and have it be sweet. this is Texas. we can handle a little bit of heat in the food. Make Fiery mean fiery!

Sometimes I don’t feel like cooking for just myself when BF is away on business. Felt like a healthy, filling dinner. Fire Bowl is on the way home from work. Feeling adventurous, I used their online ordering. Who knew you could swap out vegetables from their two mix choices. So a chicken stir fry with teriyaki sauce, Thai vegetable mix and a side of crab Rangoon’s. A quick pit stop on my way home. Walked in and the order was ready, they handed me my bag and I was on my way again. So quick. The crab rangoon’s are delicious but I don’t like the dipping sauce. Opening the container for the chicken stir fry, most of it is rice topped with the veggies and some chicken. The taste of teriyaki was hardly there. It was filling and good… not great but eatable. I was able to have two dinners from one serving. Whenever I dine here, there is always a line. Their system works well because the line moves fast. Their prices are reasonable for what you get. I have never had anything bad from here then again nothing wow’s me.

As my boyfriend said…“What the hell happen to this place??” Bottom line if you like chicken nuggets instead of REAL fresh battered chicken in your noodles, along with incredibly greasy egg rolls then this is your place… but it is not mine. $ 30 wasted for lunch. I would like my money back please!

always always enjoy the food here but keep forgetting to take pics because I’m always too hungry and dive right in, and THATS when I remember that I meant to! I have the chicken or tofu with the Thai veggie mix, brown rice and either Szechuan garlic sauce, teriyaki sauce, fire sauce or lemon basil. they’re all good I swear. and I always order the spring rolls for appetizers. the portions are huge and service is pretty quick! the place is clean and so are the restrooms. I did take a pic in the restroom though and it’s a hoot! check it out!

I came here for lunch today and it was PACKED. However, the line was not terribly long, and I got my food in a reasonable amount of time. I had the Fire Noodles with Beef, which had a rating of 3 whole chili peppers. Well, a chili pepper here is definitely not worth the same as a chili pepper at a more traditional Asian restaurant, as it wasn’t *that* hot. I expected to be sweating it out, but it was quite easy to handle. There was a nice kick, but I was personally hoping for more. I do have quite the tolerance for spicy foods though, so YMMV. I would have appreciated some more beef too. Overall though, the noodles were good and I was no longer hungry. When you look around, you’ll notice that the décor is quite nice, and the whole place appears new and clean. Or maybe you won’t, because they have outdoor seating as well. Not much to say about service, as you order at the register, get a number, and then someone brings you your food. I’d say the current average of 3.5 stars is on point, but since I wasn’t particularly impressed after my experience, I’m going to have to round down to 3.

I’d say 3.5 stars, but really, who’s counting? A great lunch option in the Arboretum area. Do I like it as much as Pei Wei? No, but I do seem to have an unhealthy obsession with PW. There were enough vegetarian options to choose from, which I liked. The particular day that I went, I was meeting up with a friend that I haven’t seen in a while, so we didn’t really care that we had to wait in a GINORMOUS(yeah, it’s a word) line. By the time we got to the front of the line, a frazzled manager told us that drinks were on the house because of our wait. I supported that. I also had a ton of leftovers-enough for a whole other lunch the next day. Solid!

OK for a counter order chain restaurant that one can eat fairly healthy I say 4 stars. I had very low expectations of Fire Bowl Café and was pleasantly surprised to find the following: ~ a bar serving wine and beer ~ healthy options to include build your own stir fries ~ an inviting clean dining area ~ quick and friendly service ~ happy hour ~ no added MSG I finally tried Fire Bowl for a quick work day lunch. I typically eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and splurge a little at dinner so I was happy to find several healthy options on their menu. I ordered a shrimp stir fry with Thai veggies, fire sauce and spring mix(instead of rice or noodles). The order came out in less than 10 minutes. The dish was full of plump tender shrimp, crunchy veggies and a nice spicy sauce. I couldn’t find nutritional information on their website but other websites indicated that this dish(minus the spring mix which is served on the side) was 250 calories. I also like that they sell mineral water(which I am addicted to). If I needed a quick dinner I would definitely stop in and sit at the bar to take advantage of happy hour. Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 2pm-6pm and offers $ 1 off drinks and appetizers.

Okay, let’s just say for a moment you’re engaged to the most incredible woman of Asian descent, the big day’s coming up, and her entire family is flying into town. Would Fire Bowl Café be your first choice for the rehearsal dinner? Excuse me, are you stupid? But let’s just say you’re in the Arboretum looking for a fast & decent stir fry, maybe with tofu, veggies, & a spicy garlic sauce, and you don’t wanna pay more than $ 8 and change for it. Um, Fire Bowl Café? Now damn, that’s a smart move.
