El Buen Mercado

Everyone here is really nice! I like that they always have something new in the produce section. The pastries and tacos are yummy! The one downside is the limited selection. Obviously this place can’t house the same amount of product as heb. I recently went to grab some half and half or coffee creamer and they didn’t have any in stock. No big deal.

SUPER REASONABLE. Love this place instead of having to drive out to Fiesta. It was nice and clean and very organized. Great stop if you live in the Austin Colony area.

Best meat market /​bakery /​restaurant in the area. We live right down The street from here so it is very convenient especially for how late they stay open. The only thing they seem high priced on are general food items like soda, beer, and other non-​perishable stuff. I would highly recommend that the community in the area continues to support them even though a semi big grocery store is set to open next door in 2015.

This is the only market for now in this area. Their meat is the best. Very fresh. The butchers are always helpful and friendly. Great barbacoa in the deli. Wish it was bigger though with a bigger selection of food items.

Really great place to go to, especially if you’re in the Austin’s Colony area. Haven’t tried their restaurant yet, but would love to since I’ve heard so many wonderful things about it. They have a nice variety of baked goods (my husband really loves the biscuits) and they have a wide selection of protein. They have all your basic cooking produce such as onions, garlic, cilantro, ginger, celery, tomatoes and more so skip that drive into town when you need fresh ingredients for your recipes.
They have all basic dairy and dry goods which is a plus. Prices are pretty fair here. Checkout service is usually very quick and courteous. Every time we come here we have a pleasant experience. Definitely stop by if you’re in the neighborhood and give this place a try!

I only go here if I don’t feel like driving across town to HEB. This stores produce section is always disappointing whenever I go their vegetables always look rotten and old i have gotten milk from here several of times and it was rotten. Their other groceries are over priced but I could see why because its the only store near our neighborhood. They have a great meat selection not going to lie I haven’t had any problems with that yet and their hot food is also delicious! Like I said I only go here if I don’t want to drive anywhere else.

Great meat selection (I get the Cabrito from there all the time), fun selection of spices and peppers. Love the taco’s they sell there, they are very «Austin» as the last reviewer said. :) In fact I came here just to say how epic the tacos are lol

I would rate them Excellent. I wouldn’t suggest that people use as their weekly grocery store (their milk and meat don’t inspire confidence), but they do have a great variety of food. Their vegetable selection is much more extensive and often fresher than the nearby HEB. They have a good variety of hot peppers, a number of varieties of banana-​like offerings, and a bunch of fruits and vegetables that I’ve never tasted before. The other big plus is their international food section (which is right next to the produce). They have a much better selection of spices, noodles, sauces, and prepackaged ethnic foods than most other grocery stores. they have great prices on the meats and thats great for someone on a budget! i also can find ingredients here that i won’t find anywhere else. The place to go for the best tacos. The tacos are creative, delicious and so so Austin, this is always a place I bring visitors and they are blown away every time!

Yo les daría excelente. Yo no recomendaría que la gente utiliza como su tienda de comestibles por semana (la leche y la carne no inspiran confianza), pero tienen una gran variedad de alimentos. Su selección de vegetales es mucho más extensa y con frecuencia más fresco que el HEB cerca. Tienen una buena variedad de chiles, un número de variedades de banano ofertas similares, y un montón de frutas y verduras que nunca he probado antes. La otra gran ventaja es su sección de comida internacional (que está justo al lado del producto). Tienen una mejor selección de especias, fideos, salsas y alimentos envasados étnicos de lo que otros stores. they comestibles tienen buenos precios en las carnes y eso es genial para alguien con un presupuesto! también puedo encontrar los ingredientes que aquí no voy a encontrar en ningún otro lugar.
