Perfect customer service! I am addicted to their iced tea and if I’m in the drive through line waiting they will run the tea put to meet me so I don’t have to wait. These guys rock! The food is always great. A meal you can count on for being fresh.

The place really offers express chicken that is actually good. The chicken is well prepared… the fried pickles were a little greasy but the biscuit was fantastic. If your hankering for some chicken and need it quick this is the place. Not greasy, very light batter and juicy. Excellent job for a «chicken express»

I am a HUGE fan of Chick Express and after moving from Dallas location a few years back, we were disappointed to find that Chicken E’s around here are scarce, but… We love this location in particular! They have great customer service and are always provide a great atmosphere… We were here the other night,(day before the launch of Chicken Express Ice Cream) and the manager was really awesome and gave us some taste tests! Overall, great place and great employees!

We LOVE this chicken express location. I had never had them before moving down the road and now we eat here several times a month. We have never had a bad experience, the restaurant is always very clean, the employees are always very friendly and the chicken is always fresh and delicious! We have been to others since finding out how much we love their chicken and this is by far the best location! You will not be disappointed when coming here

I’ve always liked the recipes at Chicken Express, but some locations are better than others as far as service, etc. This is the best I’ve been to for both food and customer service. I stopped off here last night and was definitely impressed. The staff here all were friendly and smiling. They insisted on bringing the orders out to their customers. My order of chicken tenders, fries, and a dinner roll were as good as I’ve had anyplace. Pro-Tip: If you don’t want gravy, they have a variety of sauces as well. Two things really made this location shine. Unlike a lot of their other locations, the drinks are accessible to the customers. If you want to refill your tea or soft drink, it’s completely self-serve. Second, the condiment area is incredible — a variety of sweeteners, lemon packets, ketchup, salt, pepper, seasoned salt, spicy seasoned salt, honey, and Texas Pete hot sauce packets are all available — and organized. One of the best fast food experiences I’ve had in ages.

Best drive thru service ever! Lady kindly figured out a cheaper price for my weird order without me asking. Was friendly and pleasant. Then acknowledged my dog in the back and offered him a treat. Best Service Ever!

I came here during lunch last week and one thing that stood out more than the chicken was the service I got and I was just getting take out! I recently move to the area and was looking for a quick bite with limited time. I perused around for somewhere I never eaten from. Chicken Express! Jackpot. Upon first glance I wasn’t sure, because it looks like a restaurant you will find in a move a la Los Pollos Hermanos from Breaking Bad. I decided to give a shot. I was greeted upon entry with a great big smile and welcome to Chicken Express there was a also Unilocal check in special I didn’t need. The lady(I forgot her name) read me my options, which was different varieties of bone-in or boneless chicken. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a spicy chicken option(especially in Texas!) I ordered the lunch special which included 3 strips a drink and a side with gravy included no matter which side you pick and your choice of a biscuit or a roll for $ 5.99. The lady made small talk while the cooks prepared my meal as I made myself an Arnold Palmer. The chicken was good, crispy, above average for mild chicken, but again I prefer spicy. I would be back only because of the great service I got. The mac n’ cheese side I order was your average Joe, far from outstanding and disgusting. Great place if you like mild chicken, for spicy chicken lovers do check out Gus’ Fried Chicken downtown.

Chicken Express again tonight for dinner!!! What can I say? They have not let us down. This time we dined in and the whole staff was very polite and they all greeted us with a smile. Very impressed with my neighborhood Chicken Express!

Ordered a family 20 tenders thing. The summary is below: Chicken — tasted ok Cole slaw — tasted ok Sweet rolls — tasted ok Biscuits — tasted not ok Corn on a cob — pure garbage Sweet tea — omfg is this thing sweet Finally, my wife got violently sick few hours afterwards and we’re 100% certain its this place. Needless to say, we’re not coming back and advise you to stay away as well.

Okay — To reuse the Dave Chappelle joke, it appears that I am predisposed to liking this place… because I seem to eat here a lot. Now that may be because I live close by(and not genetics), but I do eat here a lot… The Good — Customer Service. I can be a little bit of a smartarse when dealing with the the serving public(in a nice way), these folks go above and beyond with customer service. I wish I could give a name and tell you to see Rick, or Jane or Kevin, etc. but as a group these folks make consistently good choices to make your experience a win. The Food — as the name suggests, I eat the chicken(although my first time I had the catfish — Redunkulous!) — Sometimes there is a wait(breasts tend to run out fast because you can order them how you want; 3 breasts in a 3 piece meal for example). Always hot and crispy. The Store — been in a couple of times for pickup and the place STAYS spotless. The Meh — They run out of breasts alot — that is a good/bad thing. Good cuz you get FRESH chicken, bad because you gotta wait for it LOL. But to be honest, I would rather wait for fresh then have a limit/restriction placed on how I can order my 3 breast 3 piece meal(also known in my car as the Total Recall deal… watch the movie kiddos, the original one) I will be back…

First time trying chicken express today. Had a mean craving for Popeyes(love those biscuits!) but the closest one is about 30 min away… Soooo, I figured this would be next best thing. It just ain’t so! Now, first things first, I do not expect much when I hit up a drive-thru. After waiting for what felt like a century we finally got our food and headed off on our merry way. Got home saw a dinky little biscuit and I was immediately saddened. It was also soggy and covered in gravy that had spilled all over the bottom of my box. Gross. Next, took a bite of the so-called mashed potatoes. They reminded me of paste. I’m not picky with my potatoes. I make the envelope kind on a regular basis(of course I prefer the real deal!) but these did not cut it. Not edible at all. Finally, the chicken. While I realize that I ordered FRIED chicken what I didn’t expect was to take home half the fryer grease along with it! There were actually puddles(yes, puddles!) of grease inside my chicken breast. My fingers were covered in grease and each piece dripped when picked up. Not appetizing. Not worth the $ 15 I shelled out for my 7 year old son and I to eat dinner. I gave this place two stars based on the sheer fact that I saw the manager hustling like crazy(I’m assuming it was the manager anyway)! They had a lot of cars pull up at once and got a little backed up. He was bringing drinks out to cars and taking payments that way as well as through the window. I was surprised that when it was my turn I didn’t get a «thank you for your patience» or anything of the like but hey, I know they were trying their best and looked to be slammed. If not for the service this place would of gotten a 1 star from me.

I stopped by for the first time today after reading the glowing reviews on here… Maybe that’s why I ended up so disappointed? I pulled up to the drive through at about 9:10 on a Friday night; maybe that’s what I did wrong? Perhaps earlier would have been better. Either way, I was greeted cheerfully by a young guy whose name I have forgotten. I ordered a #1 with cheese sticks and a Dr. Pepper with no ice. The ensuing conversation went something as follows: Drive-thru Guy — «No ice?» Me — «Correct. No ice.» DtG — «Okay, and would you like a biscuit or a roll with that?» Me — «Oh, um, a roll, I guess?» DtG — «Oh, sorry, we’re actually out of rolls. Would you like a biscuit?» Me — «Er, no thanks. But, can I also get an order of fries, but cooked extra crispy?» DtG — «An order of fries and what?» Me — «Extra crispy?» DtG — «What?» Me — «Extra crispy?» DtG — «Oh! Of course! Your total will be [blah], please pull around!» I proceeded to pull around to the window, paid, and then was handed my drink. It had ice. I accepted that I had made a few special requests, and I’m a very non-confrontational person(also that’s something that’s pretty frequently messed up when I order it), so I let it go. I was then handed my food. I opened the box to check it, and everything seemed to be in order, so I drove off. While sitting at a light not too far off(like a minute away), I decided to have a fry. I’m not sure if myself and the cook have vastly different opinions of what«extra crispy» means, or if they simply forgot to cook them that way, but they were definitely not crispy fries. They were a bit soggy, which is the opposite of what I wanted :(. All that said, the chicken tenders were pretty good, and the cheese sticks were okay. But, considering the biscuit/roll incident and the two mistakes on an order that only had four parts to begin with? I do not believe I’ll be returning to this establishment.

Best run drive thru ever. Pretty amazing actually. Food is fantastic, but the service and attention is tops. First Unilocal review in a long time, but these guys deserve the recognition.

I like everything about this place, except for the fries. I’ve done carry-out 5 – 6 times here, and even though I live only 5 minutes away, the fries are ALWAYS cool and soggy by the time I get home. Think they need a little more time in the cooker. Chicken is always good though :)

Love love LOVE chicken express!!! Best unsweetened tea compared to most any fast food place and the chicken is consistent no matter what location you’re at! This location is a bit tough to find but just look for the whataburger and you’ll find it on the west side of 620.

I grew up with Chicken Express in a tiny town called Rockdale, Tx. I was super excited to see that they opened up one right down the road from me. My first visit was superb! Speedy service, nice employees, inviting interior, FINGERLICKINGGOOD chicken and sides… The manager even introduced himself and made sure we were all taken care of. Honestly, what more could you ask for? I was in southern heaven my whole hour there. & the sweet tea, oh my God it’s good! & they sell it by the gallon, I left with 3… I have no shame ;)

Came in at 9:57pm not knowing they closed at 10pm. Two guys outside closing everything up more then welcomed us in to the drive thru. The staff was nice, the owner came out to make sure we were taken care of and the food was delicious and got more food than the price you pay. This place is a must!!!

So good. So very good. Fried chicken is my favorite food, so I was super excited to try a new chicken joint. CE didn’t disappoint, the 4 tender basket was godlike. The tenders were good. Very nice breading — it stayed crunchy and crisp, but wasn’t nearly as oily as a lot of fried foods tend to be. The roll that came with it reminded me of a Luby’s roll(this is a good thing). I crammed two tenders in the roll and made my own glorious chicken slider. You can swap gravy for better sauces like honey mustard. That’s what I did, and I’d recommend it. Their honey mustard is a little bit spicy, but pretty much the typical restaurant honey mustard that has perfect synergy with fried food. The only side I’ve tried is the corn nuggets. If this was at the state fair, it’d be called«Fried creamed corn». They’re pretty awesome if you like corn, cause it’s corn covered in liquid corn with corn breading, then fried(hopefully in corn oil). Finally, it comes in a box! Hooray for boxes, no squished food on the drive home!
