I enthusiastically recommend Centex Pavers to complete your paver or stone work! We have been living with crushed granite in our front drive (which served as a litter box for our dogs) because the paver bids we had received were OUTRAGEOUS! I can’t believe we didn’t find Alwyn 4 yrs ago!!! Alwyn and his crew did fantastic work! Extremely professional, timely and even after I added more on, he found a way to get it done within a week. I had over 2900 sq ft of pavers installed in 5 days and then I decided to change our walkway in front of our house. Even though I would have listened, he didn’t up-​sell me. He actually discouraged me to use more pavers bc he thought it would be too busy. Saay whaaat??? I knew I wanted to change the walkway so he suggested a different paver (at my request) which looks fantastic!!! He came out on a Sunday to draw out how it would look since the front of my house isn’t exactly center. He made it work! He even added to my stairs which tied into the walkway and house beautifully! THEN I added again. Although he never admitted this, I know I stressed him out.(his irish accent came out a wee bit) but never lost his cool. He just wanted to make us happy! He went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed. I only needed 140q feet which is less than a pallet so he called the vendor to see who had recently ordered the same color pavers so I didn’t have to pay for a whole pallet. He found extra pavers from a builder that he could purchase for our job and came back out in between his jobs way sooner than I expected! SO HAPPY!!! He didn’t miss a beat AND his crew cleaned up nicely after the demolition of my driveway! I had NO intention of doing this much paver work (neither did my husband… lol) but after working with Alwyn and seeing how it transformed our property, it was so worth it!!! NO need to get other bids, you will want Alwyn/​Centex Pavers to do your job… I PROMISE!!!

Alwyn (Owner) provides an amazing service at an excellent price. He came out for a free quote on a weekend, showed up early, and was the lowest bid out of 4 I received.
We installed ~750sqft of pavers. He started work within 1 week and the whole job took ~3 days. The final install looks really great and I’m very satisfied with it.
There was a small problem with a pipe that was broken during the work. He came out first thing the next day and fixed the problem.
I would definitely recommend Centex Paver Services to everyone.

After searching various websites and reading numerous reviews, I decided to call Centex to get a bid for installation of a paver patio, paver landing on back stairs and paver liner down both sides of the front sidewalk. Alwyn met me within a few hours of my call. We reviewed the project and selected the paver we wanted to use (he has samples in his truck). He provided a firm turnkey bid on the project on the spot. He was able to start the project within a few days and completed in 3 days. Alwyn didn’t ask for payment until the job was done and I was completely satisfied. The work was great! The paver patio, etc transformed the look of the house! I’m getting great compliments. Alwyn was willing to be helpful (stacked the stone that was removed and also buried a conduit under the stair landing). He was very pleasant to work with, very professional, competitive price, no high pressure sales and does great work. I would use him again!

Centex Pavers just installed a new paver patio for our home. Alwyn Spence (owner) is great and so easy to work with — professional, knowledgeable, and works with whatever budget and needs you have. He showed up early for every meeting that we had and when the job started he and his crew were there early (about an hour early). For a basic backyard patio they were done in 3 and a half days — speedy and efficient! They went above and beyond what we expected. Highly recommend them!

Alwyn Spence and Centex Paver Services get an A++++++++. They installed a walkway and side patio at my home in Northwest Hills, as well as repaired some areas in the backyard. The finished project is PERFECT!
The two guys that worked on my project were amazing and true craftsmen. They arrived every morning ON TIME and barely stopped for lunch. I have not seen more efficient workers. My entire project was finished in 2 days.
Alwyn’s attention to detail is unsurpassed. When checking the final project, he noticed something that I would have never noticed and had his guys come back to tweak it the next day. While checking on that progress, he went ahead and had them fix something on walkway that was previously install by someone else. He goes above and beyond and I will definitely use them again.

Where do I even begin… I come down to Austin every so often to work on my parents’ house. They are getting older and I figure if I keep the house safe, then they will never end up in an old folks home. This last June, I came down to do a deck and – long story short – found myself working on the ever-​present drainage issue that can’t seem to resolve itself especially after all of the floods in May making the perimeter of the home unsafe for older folks. I found Alwyn at Centex Paver Services from another paver service group on Unilocal who didn’t have time to do my project (who in Austin _isn’t_ busy?!?). Alwyn was upfront about being booked out, but did have time to come out the following week to bid on the project. I’ll admit, it was a little higher than I had hoped – but heck, I wanted to do a paved walk way around the ENTIRE perimeter of home – so what was I to expect? He couldn’t do it until after I left and honestly I would rather be around when people are working on my folks’ home. Anyway, long story short: Because I wanted to be there for the project, I ended up going with some yahoos for about a quarter of the cost and then in the middle of it, I realized that these cheaper guys would not be accomplishing my aesthetic, safety or drainage goals if I did that and I would have to do it all over again in a year. I ended up begging Alwyn at Centex Pavers to come back to the house before I left and rebid the project. I went back home to Seattle. They redid everything wrong and did it right over a period of about 2.5 days! I kept checking on everything through FaceTime and lots of dialogue with Alwyn who was super patient and very profession. In the end: it looks AMAZING! My parents are SO HAPPY! I will post some pictures. The best part about it is that they really know what they are doing, guarantee their work, came when they said they would without overlapping a bunch of other projects (like way too many contractors in Austin are doing these days), stayed on budget, were VERY accommodating to my nit-​picky requests that I micromanaged from Seattle and made an amazing, incredible walkway that doubles as a funnel for drainage around the house to the rain garden that I created out back for all of the water to dump into. I absolutely love these guys and couldn’t recommend them more. Check out my other Unilocal reviews for people I’ve used and will and won’t recommend.
