Yoga in the Park is a yoga adventure. We meet and hike up a trail to a precipice high above Walnut Creek. We spread our mats under the canopy of cedars and harmonize with the Trees the Sky the Earth and each other. It’s very Empowering. emphasis intended

I have done yoga with a few other instructors before, but none come close to Gundega. She is has a great way about her. She helps with beginners, kids or pros. Nice soft easy voice with a fun goofy twist. I go every week and my body, mind and soul loves it. She’ll challenge you without going overboard. If you want to go to yoga, you should come here. It has a nice quite setting in her in-house studio. I like to be able concentrate and work on myself rather than deal with a big class with too much going on and not get the attention I deserve.

I’ve been taking classes with Gundega(she’s from Latvia) for a couple of months and I feel so much better physically than when I started. I was in really bad shape when I started but I am happy to say I’ve made a lot of progress and I am moving body parts that haven’t been moved in years. :) She puts new people near her and helps them out with learning movements and positions. Also, she knows how to modify movements and positions to your limitations. The people in Gundega’s classes are across the board; it is not geared toward any one type of person and I always feel comfortable even though I can’t yet do things that some of the others can do. The overall feeling of her classes is that everyone is progressing at their own pace so there is no feeling that you have to meet a certain standard. Still, you will have a stronger more limber body every week if you just do what you can do to the best of your ability. If you are considering taking a step in the direction of a healthier life style change this is a class that I can fully recommend no matter where you are on the road to that change.

This class is as good as it gets. No two of her sessions are alike or rote, she is always changing things up and keeping it fresh. She is very knowledgeable about the proper way to exercise so you can prevent injuries. The classes are challenging, but very achievable for any level, so don’t be intimidated. Gundega is very good about reassuring you, and if you have any limitations, she can tell you an alternative to a move. Yoga is great for your health on so many levels, you will be amazed at how good it makes you feel.

My first class at Austin Peace Studio was my first yoga class ever. I started attending Yoga classes a Austin peace studio over 1 year ago and now I attend weekly. Gundega’s Yoga classes are a great work out, and help me better cope with demands from a stressful job. I find Yoga to be a great way to clear my mind, build strength, and tone muscle. I always feel amazing after class and the following day. The studio is in a residential neighborhood in North Austin which I remember feeling much less intimidating than attending for the first time at a big studio. Gundega is a great teacher, very instructive and knowledgable, and always keeps the mood positive and light. Classes are well attended but never uncomfortably large at the studio. Highly recommended!

My husband and I started looking for yoga classes as soon as we moved to Austin. We are so glad that we found Gundega at Austin Peace Studio. The classes are great. Gundega is very good about gearing the classes and instructions to ensure everyone in the class can work at their own level and up to their potential. I had taken yoga classes before at our gym, but now I understand why everyone says that going to a dedicated yoga studio is so much better. We both love the classes we attend; the friends we have made there; and Gundega is excellent. Sincerely, Kathy M.
