Really they don’t deserve any stars. NEVER EVER sign up for one of the Community Outreach Courses. They cancel the course then drag out the refund process by requesting absurd employment forms that have nothing to do with refunding of moneys paid and services not delivered. The one course we did take was just a promotion for a company with lots of illegal and misinformation along the way. I’m off to the IRS and the State Comptroller office on Monday to make sure they know what’s going on there.

The STEPS program for challenged persons to get ready for college is an unscrupulous program. Take your money and babysit your kids. They lie to your face about what they can do for your student.

I signed up for a CPR skills assessment in the middle of the day on a Saturday. I showed up early for class and the building was a creepy (dirty) ghost town. I waited for about 30 minutes and no one ever showed up. There was no one to ask and no one in all of ACC, no matter what number I called, would answer the phone. Finally I found a off duty cop who acts as a security guard and he didn’t know anything either. Between the half hour drive to and from the school and 30 minutes of waiting, I lost over an hour and a half of a beautiful Saturday that could have been spent with my family.
On Monday I left a message about the no-​show teacher. Finally Tuesday someone called me back to tell me someone else who would help me was at lunch but would call me later. It was not until Thursday some woman called and said she was «the person who I was supposed to yell at» because she neglected to cancel the class for low enrollment. She said she would refund my money. I am still waiting on that refund. When you call, no one ever answers the phone. I have taken classes at the regular ACC with good experiences but I will NEVER take another CE class here after the waste of time and run around I have now been through.

This «campus» is a little strange. Since it mostly houses offices, it doesn’t feel like school. Most of the CE classes are here, too, and so it seems students are only really there in the evenings. The little cafeteria there is closed by the time I get there, but they have vending machines. I’m really hoping they’ll be moving the CE classes to Highland Mall, so there’ll be more classes/​classrooms/​students around and it won’t seem so weird to be going to a mostly empty building in the evenings for class.
I will give them a thumbs up on location, since I could walk there, and they’re on two bus lines that I have immediate access to. However, if they move a couple blocks to the mall, there are even more bus lines.
