Arbortech Tree Service

I hired Stan, at Arbortech, to remove a very large, dying American Elm that was encroaching on power lines and another healthy tree in my back yard. Of the three quotes I received he was right in the same price range as other reputable Austin companies. However, he was very transparent with his cost estimate and much more knowledgeable than the other tree services. Because the Elm was a heritage tree he had to navigate the City of Austin to receive permits and kept me informed at every step along the way. His crew was polite, fast and effective; cleaning up the yard and driveway before leaving for the day.
I chose Arbortech again, recently to do some pruning on Pecan tree that hangs low over my house. I had this same tree trimmed last year by another tree trimming service and this time around the pruning looks much more clean cut and even — just a better job all around.
I would recommend Stan and Arbortech for any tree service you need.

We had a lawn/​tree guy who butchered our last job at a rental we were in so I was very hesitant when looking to find someone to come in and trim the trees at our very first home.
Stan and his crew were amazing throughout this entire process. The new home we were buying had some trees that were affecting the roof line and the insurance company was saying we may not be eligible for insurance until the trees had been trimmed back. I met with Stan prior to get an estimate, we also had 2 other companies come out (wanted to make sure we were getting a good deal — the 2 other companies both flaked out on returning phone calls, providing estimates in a timely fashion and lacked in customer service compared to Arbortech) Stan gave us an estimate well under any other and Stan provided IMMEDIATE attention when we needed him and was just all around a pleasant guy. He personally answered the phone, returned emails and messages within the same day every time.
His crew showed up early and even finished up earlier the day of our work Our trees look outstanding, they cleaned up after themselves leaving no trace of being there and even picked up some debris that was not from the tree trimmings. We had multiple trees trimmed/​taken back and 1 big tree on our fence/​fence line completely removed. I was very worried as we have 6 dogs and need a new fence, currently there is a 4 foot chian link fence and the tree that was being removed appeared to be growing into the fence– I feared that the tree removal would result in a big hole in the fence making the fence replacement an immediate need. The tree was removed with no damage to the existing fence. Imagine how excited I am.
While at our property, Jo the lead on the team (who I learned has been doing this for 13 years) noticed our neighbor had a massive tree that was swaying oddly. Jo was nice enough to go check the tree out and saw that it had a huge crack around the base and was about to fall. Not only was the massive tree in danger of falling, it was going to fall on our brand new house that we closed on 2 days prior.
Upon hearing Jo’s report back at the end of the job, (I had to leave to pick up family from the airport before the guys were done) Stan called me immediately and told me about this. He then gave me some great advice on how to meet our new neighbors and talk to them about having the tree removed to prevent damage to everyones homes. It went great, our neighbor had the tree taken care of the next day.
I even gave them Arbortechs number since they treated us so good.
I cant thank this company enough.
They have made our yard/​trees look 100 times healthier and safer and saved our home from being taken out by a massive Ash tree.

We had some unpleasantness with a tree, some wind and a neighbor’s shiny new truck recently and were forced to investigate tree services to take a look at the prime suspect. Our neighbor recommended Arbortech, so I called and spoke with Stan. He was friendly and informative and he also happens to be the owner and arborist. He came the next day and not only gave a quote to remove the tree but also was a wealth of knowledge regarding the care of the trees on our property and also Texas laws as applied to our unfortunate situation. After calling other companies for quotes, he came in the lowest and gave the best impression. I never felt like he was smooth talking his way into my wallet like some of the other companies. If you have trees and need help, I would call Arbortech.
