Lunch specials plastered all over their windows in big neon letters, so I stopped in for lunch. I was quickly seated by the sushi chef and left alone for 9.5 minutes. I was going to walk out at 10 minutes but the waitress made it, just in time. I ordered a pad thai before she even put the menu down, hoping to be in and out as I had to return to work. Waitress returns with soup(choice of tom yum or miso). The tom yum was fine, nothing to rave nor complain about. She also brought out an iceberg lettuce salad with some sad pieces of carrots, and the traditional ginger/soy type dressing. I didn’t want to get full so only had a couple bites. Then I waited another 20 minutes for the pad thai… I asked for a box and gave her my debit card as she set down my lunch. Took another 10 minutes to pay. So annoyed and late. The meal was $ 9 and it tasted ok. I think there were 3 people working at the time and they could not handle the crowd. The food may have tasted better if I wasn’t so irritated. They should really consider adequate staffing during lunch if they advertise it so boldly,

I was going to go to Sushi Katsu but there was nowhere to park and a line out the door, so I decided to try Zo Sushi and Thai instead. Big mistake. The restaurant is very large and nicely decorated with a very sunny interior, but at 2pm on a Saturday it was almost entirely empty save myself and a mother/daughter sitting a few tables down. My server was very friendly and enthusiastic without being overly solicitous. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a spider roll which came out about ten minutes after I ordered. The spider roll was okay but there wasn’t much crab in it and the sauce and lettuce were pretty much all I could taste. The spicy tuna roll was horrible. The tuna was hardly spicy at all and there was far too much rice in proportion to the tuna. The worst part though was that the rice in both rolls was luke warm and SOGGY, as if had been sitting in a container filled with water all day long. It was disgusting. Even after the happy hour discount of 25%, I felt like I had overpaid when I got my bill for $ 10. The only reason my visit didn’t warrant a 1 star rating is because of the atmosphere and service. I suppose Zo might have decent Thai food, but whatever you do, don’t go there for sushi.

I am new in the area so I thought I would drive around and eat somewhere. I had been craving sushi for some time and I happened by this place and they were advertising lunch specials. I come in and sit at the sushi bar. The first thing I notice is that I am the only person in here but it would have been rude to walk out since the hostes had already greeted me. Now to the food. The sushi was priced okay for a lunch special. Two regular rolls for $ 8. The sushi rolls flavor was bland at best and tasted only of cream cheese. The pieces were far to big to even fit in my mouth. The bowl of steamed rice has a silver sticky substance in it. I will not be coming back. I feel bad but the sushi was awful.

We’ve been here a couple times now, and got carry out another. Each time the staff has been very friendly, and the décor is modern, yet quaint. Nice for a casual date night or a special occasion. They have a really awesome happy hour with 25% off rolls and drink specials(2 for 1sake!!!) Their specialty rolls could be a bit more creative, with perhaps a little less tempura. The sushi is on par with most of the better places I’ve been to in Denver. I felt this place deserved a positive review to get more recognition. Both times we’ve been here were on Saturday evening and we were one of the only tables. I’d really like to see this place succeed, Aurora needs better restaurants like this! P. s. try the black and white roll

My mother and I came here for a dinner together around 8 pm. Nobody else was in the place. We had a coupon for BOGO, which is the main reason why we stopped. The food was just ok but not enough to make me want to come back. They were doing there clean up duties for the night so it took us about 30 mins for them to clear our table, get a doggie bag, pay, and leave after we were finished eatting as we walked over and did most ourselves. Glad we had the coupon, as that is what coupons are for is to try things out. Thanks but no thanks.

Sought out this place because the daughter had a coupon for buy one get one(not including sushi) we were eating late after the mall. We got a combo plate that included sushi. It was great. Our other choice was pad Thai was not that great. It seemed really sweet Our server was very gracious and did a good job of keeping tabs on us and her nightly cleanup duties at the same time

I swore that I will never cheat on my favorite Thai and sushi places(Thai Flavor & Sushi Katsu). I’m loyal to those joints but I had a dilemma, today; I didn’t know what I was craving and this place had both, so why not?! It wasn’t great(slight understatement). What was great was the service. Extra star for the friendly owner. Regardless of the bland food and the«mishap» that occurred, the owner was very kind and apologetic. I’m keeping it vague because I want to always give mom and pop places the benefit of the doubt. It’s a hard business to get into when blocks away you have stiff competition. Will I come back? Definitely not, sorry.

I really like this place. They have the good super white tuna… that kind that melts in your mouth like butter! YUM! Our sushi experience was great, happy hour sushi 4 – 7 every day, 25% off special rolls. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh. The menu has lots of different choices depending on your tastebuds mood, and the staff was super friendly! Will try again soon.

I would say this was a pretty awful lunch. There were 14 of us and we were the only ones in the restaurant. This is not a good sign for sure. My soup was cold. I ordered a sushi plate and I was almost afraid to eat it because I was not sure how fresh it really was since it was so empty inside the restaurant. I left most of my meal and I looked around to my the rest of the table and very few women were even bothering to take home their leftovers. I won’t be back and I bet most of the others won’t either. Too bad.

I’ve been on the hunt for a Tom Yum soup made w/out tomatoes involved(basically less sweet and more lemongrass sour), and although Zo’s does have’em, it was still a tasty Tom Yum. Decent spice level and a healthy amount of soup. I liked that they used mushrooms, as not all places do. I ordered to-go, and the order was ready exactly when they told me it would be. May have to stop in again and try some curry, as that seems to be the bulk of their Thai offerings.

I am giving one star since I have had a change of heart from my last visit. I used to love this place, and the Thai dishes, and soups are amazing. Very reasonable prices as well. The waitstaff is usually amazing. Last time I went, I brought a friend with confidence. It was a date! Nightmare happened. He wanted SUSHI. we ordered a LOT. It came out 45 minutes later, warm, Avocado was brown, it was a mess. I was assured that it would be okay until about 4 pieces in. I stopped eating and tried to redeem my ignorance of bad sushi with eating an ungodly amount of ginger. I paid the consequences… it was too late. Immediately(20 minutes after my stomach did a cartwheel) I broke into sweats. Ran to the bathroom and didn’t leave for 24 hours. Food poisoning. My date was sick too. We actually called the health department for possible mercury poisoning(though I found out later it takes a lot more than one exposure to get) Nonetheless. I had a metallic taste in my mouth and didn’t feel back to normal for about 48 hours. It took all of that for them to agree to refund us our money. I am not normally a complainer, but just beware.

Just awful. Our first sushi roll came out missing half of the ingredients. The 2nd one came out and it had no eel sauce. The salmon on both was old and rubbery, so I peeled it off and cooked it at home. So sad. The thai was ok. I got massuman with chicken. The chicken is breast meat, but the sauce was bland and runny. And too much peanuts! Also we got skimped on rice. We won’t be back.

This is my and my husband’s favorite place when we’re in town. The service is very good(staff remembers our drink orders and favorite appetizers), and the food is yummy. My husband always gets curry and I always get sushi. We’re never disappointed when we leave.

This location used to be a Noodles & Co., then a Korean Sushi place. Now, being billed as a Sushi and Thai restaurant, the partner and I decided to have lunch here yesterday, after getting a haircut nearby. The place is run by Thai folks, and we ordered Thai dishes, so can’t comment on their sushi offerings, but we loved our lunch. Zo is very clean, comfortable, contemporary and upscale-looking inside the unassuming strip mall location, with a VERY friendly staff. Their lunch menu is attractive and very inexpensive, where you can order a salad, soup and entrée for $ 6.95 or thereabouts. Plate presentations were modern and thoughtful with smiling service and everything was very fresh and tasty. I had a green curry with shrimp, steamed rice, a starter salad with a delicious vinaigrette and miso soup. My companion had the drunken noodles with chicken and the same salad and soup. We decided to try a couple of desserts, so we opted for Thai donuts(deep fried dough drizzled with condensed milk) and a good coconut flan. They do serve beer, wine and cocktails here; I noticed they offer good happy hour deals for cocktails, beer and sushi from 4−6…I’ll have to check it out next time. We normally go to Thai Flavor in Aurora when in the mood for Thai, but this place has me thinking twice about that; we’ll definitely be back. Check these guys out: great food, great service, nice ambiance and inexpensive; what else do you need to know?
