Urban Design Floors

Communication is lacking and then blamed me for being at my home at the wrong time. Not professional.

We had about 400 sqr feet of hardwood floors that we needed to refinished. The job needed to be done quickly. I called a few different flooring companies to give me a bids. Asmir was priced good and made the time to fit us in. I was surprised at how easy he was to get a hold of! The crew moved quickly and were prompt in the morning. They started work on Sat morning and were out on Sun afternoon. We will definitely use them again!

I reached out to Urban Design to have an estimate on some carpet in my basement. I recently finished a rennovation of adding an egress window, new drywall, texture, and paint and the last step was the carpets. I had reached out to a couple big box stores and after the sticker shock, I decided to see what else I could find.
I initially found Urban Design on Craigslist and sent them an email with what I was looking to do. Asmir called me that afternoon and set an appointment the following day to give me an estimate. I stressed to him that I wanted these carpets installed pretty quickly, as I told my wife we’d get this basement remodel done. He ensured me that once we find what we wanted he’d get it installed ASAP!
I had a unique situation in that I had relatively new carpet already in the basement, however it had been pulled up for the egress/​drywall install. I was needing him to not only re-​stretch the current carpet (even after I removed the baseboards, exposing more surface area to cover) but also match my carpet in a new walk-​in closet we built. Asmir ensured me they could get it taken care of and took a swatch of my carpet to get a close match. I was hesitant about finding a match, but I figured I’d see what he could find. Two days later, we had a match! Asmir ordered the carpet and we set an installation date.
Installation day… the day contractors all of the sudden forget what they were paid to do and come up with some of the most absured excuses I’ve ever heard. Asmir and his installer, Chuck, arrived on time and ready to go. The only snafu we had during the install was having to run to Home Depot to get glue since my foundation was so tough the tack strip nails wouldn’t penetrate it. After a few hours the original carpet was re-​stretched and smooth and the new carpet was installed.
Asmir and Chuck did an amazing job and moved fast! I was happy with the price and availability to work as fast as they did, there wasn’t a run around game and Asmir was up front and honest about the work being done. He followed up with me after the install to ensure everything was to my liking and stands behind his products. I’ll definitely be calling him again to redo the tile in my kitchen!
