Believe me… the tortillas are ridiculously good! Everything else is delicious, but the tortillas make it amazing. I’ve eaten there twice, a breakfast meal and the tongue tacos. The breakfast was nopalitos con huevos with rice and beans. which is was done perfectly. Today, I had tongue tacos at the recommendation of a coworker. The filling was tender like the best streak ever. Can’t wait to go back for another meal. I think it will be something with tortillas.

Great Mexican restaurant in downtown Aurora. We went there for dinner on a weeknight, both street parking outside and seating inside were ample. Someone in another review mentions they make their own tortillas in house here, and I believe it, as my tacos were nuts. They had good salsa too, but their chips seemed pretty average. Docked one star because this very much is not a single Unilocal dollar sign taco place. We got a order of guacamole, a taco dinner, and a tostada which was $ 30(with tip) out the door. The food was good, but I’m not sure if it was good enough to warrant the nearly 2x price premium compared to other taco joints in the immediate area.

Can someone say«Sodium Overdose»??? I used to frequent this restaurant many years ago because I worked downtown not far from here. The food used to be super fresh, to-die-for homemade tortillas and great salsa and chips! Yesterday we went for dinner and I was very appalled at the food there now. I ordered the Supreme Nachos and it all was very salty, and seemed to be just some ground beef with taco seasoning added to it! I also ordered the Chile Relleno and it came out covered in grease, not light and fresh as if it had just been fried, and super, super salty as well! It was literally swimming in grease! My daughter in law and son had the Carne Asada, and usually just add salt to their food, but it was most definitely not necessary! Also, the meat was very dry, not fresh at all! And also for 3 adults, and 2 kids, with only 1 beer, the bill came out to almost 80 dollars! REALLY!!! It will probably be a very LONG time before I try to eat here again as I am now suffering with high blood pressure and major water retention!

Great food, great staff! I would go there just for the beans and rice. Tacos are great! Don’t pass up the chance to eat there.

4STARS because I AM A FAN. Came here on my last clinical day with some other girls. We loved it here, but we didn’t enjoy how cold it was inside although it was super hot out. My margarita was strong and tasty. I don’t remember entirely what we ordered. Tacos, sopas, beans, rice, chips salsa, guac, and tamales. The tamales were great. Their hot sauce there is on point. It’s so spicy and yummy. My sopas that came out were drenched in goodness and food. It was just so tasty here. I think we would come back again. It was quite busy as we came during lunch time. Our server(I forgot her name) was super nice and very quick. I’d recommend this restaurant to others in the area to check it out.

We love coming here for breakfast! The food is great. Huevos con papas, huevos rancheros con bistec, chorizo con huevo and of course the rice and beans are very good! Can’t forget the homemade corn tortillas!!! Definitely recommend this place to eat!!!

We love Teca. Jalisco’s is our standard for Mexican fast food, and this is where we go for a sit-down chips-and-salsa on the table meal. The food is very yummy, both to the Mexican-born palette and the decidedly pasty-skinned white girl(that would be me) and my parents. Word of caution: Every salsa on the table has kick, if you’re sensitive to that. I always get the huevos con papas, breakfast-time or no, and they are always delicious. The place is, in my opinion, a little more authentic of an experience than you’ll get at other Mexican restaurants, which I always feel are«hamming it up» with the crazy décor and mariachi band and woman who makes guac at your table. Which means that sometimes the staff doesn’t have a lot of English. This does not bother me because I’m trying to practice anyway, and they have never seemed annoyed by my feeble attempts to inadvertently mangle their language — usually they giggle along with my Mexican fiancé and help me on the pronunciation. Many of the servers are fully bilingual, just depends. The only knock down for a star is that service can sometimes be a bit slow, especially weekend evenings. It has never made us late for a Paramount show, but I can see where some people might be annoyed. As for the commenter who said he waited forever to get a check — they don’t ever drop the check on the table. When you’re finished, you just go up and pay. If you’re not finished, you flag down the waitress and ask for another round of beers. Which, as a final note, I swear I have seen them serve by the bucket at, like, 10 a.m. on a Sunday. Social mores be damned! :-)

Always good food here. Sometimes we’ll make the 45 minute trip to Aurora just for this place. We LOVE the tortas and enchiladas. Chíngate una torta y te lo juro… te gustará un chingo! Jaja.

We found this restaurant on and went there to take advantage of the $ 25 gift cert for $ 10 offer. The restaurant is right downtown Aurora a couple of blocks from the Hollywood Casino. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Sat night to a restaurant that was less than half full. One of the servers told us to sit anywhere we wanted. From the time we sat down it was almost 10 minutes until anyone came over and brought us menu’s or took a drink order; in the meantime there was a large table next to us covered with the dirty plates, glasses, and remnants of a previous parties meal. Finally we were brought menu’s, ordered 2 margaritas which were quite good after we stirred them to mix up the ingredients. We also ordered some refried beans and guacamole to go with our chips and both were good. We did run out of chips at one point and have to search our waitress down to get some more. Also, the margaritas took 10 minutes to receive from the time we ordered them. We ordered our entrees consisting of steak fajitas and chicken flautas; again both were very good, we had no issue with the food quality. The real problem was the person the staff allowed to sit at the large table next to us and drink water and watch the soccer match on the television. As we finished our meal he turns to us and asks us for money to buy some food or if we can buy him some food!!! I expect a certain amount of this to occur while walking down the street but not while I am seated in a restaurant enjoying a meal. Its not like this person just walked in and was passing through; he was seated at a table interacting with the 2 waitresses who were giving him glasses of water which tells me the restaurant endorses this type of behavior. We were looking for our waitress to get our check but again she couldnt be found so we had to go to the register to get our bill and settle up so we could leave. While the food was good there are many other mexican restaurants with much better service where I will not be accosted to buy someone a meal.

This eatery is one of the better Mexican places in Aurora. The food is pretty good and the environment has more than adequate space. The staff is difficult to communicate with, and frequently orders that have special requests do not get served properly.
