DONOTBUYSEARSPRODUCTS !!! If there was a lower rating I would have selected that. Bought a Kenmore«Coldspot» Fridge on advise from my parents because they said Kemore was a highly trusted applicance name. Well, the ice maker has stopped. Day 1: I called Sears and was put on hold multiple times. Day 2: I called Sears and after 1.5 hours got through to someone, who appeared to know know the English language to well. After a frustrating call having them repeat everything they said to me on the phone as I could not understand a thing they were saying, I hung up the phone. Day 3: Called the local Sears store and they advised to use the online chat for Sear. I used the online chat feature and that took over 45 mins. Appears that they use«copy and paste» items to paste into the chat session. I constantly asked what the technician would accept as payment, and all I got was this is going to cost $ 75., pasted into the chat 4 times! I finally just typed backe«please schedule me the earliest appt.» I was then scheduled 3 weeks out. No problem, i can use my plastic ice cube trays in the meantime. The day arrives that the technician is supposed to arrive(anytime between 8Am and 12Noon). I get a call at 11:35Am from the tech who cannot speak a word of English correctly, or anything close to what I know of English, to say that he is still on a job and would call me back in an hour(1230PM) to let me know when he might be available to come to my house or to have me reschedule. I had him repeat this as I could not make out some of the things he was saying. Sounded like he was from India? Very heavy accent. It is now 12 noon and no technician. I have been waiting for 4 hours and no technician. WHYCAN’T THEYSEND A REPLACEMENTTECH, if the one who is supposed to be here is tied up on another job? I am not going to let this so called tech do anything to my fridge! I would rather have a local tech shop do the repair on the fridge rather than let SEARS touch this. 1. WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEOVERALL 2. BADPRODUCT 3. BADTECHNICALSUPPORT 4. WORST business policies Since K-Mart bought SEARS, the store has gone downhill FAST. I will never by another product from SEARS again. Unfortunately I also have a SEARS washer and dryer. I guess I should look around to local repair shops now incase something happens with them. Oh wait it is now 12:40PM40 minutes outside the 4 hour window and I just got a call from SEARS to appologize for the inconvenience of the tech showing up late. I advised to cancel the appt as the tech didn’t show up late, he just didn’t show up. WHAT A WASTEOFTIME.
