Planet Fitness – Aurora

Just joined this gym 2 days ago. I asked for a tour of the place. The man behind the counter walked down towards the bathrooms and basically pointed where everything was and didn’t actually show me how stuff worked. Staff isn’t all that friendly and they usually just stand there behind the counter. Everything is super clean and there are a bunch of different workout machines.

For the past 20yrs I have been going to gyms in Naperville/​Aurora area and this one is THE BEST one! It is a solid FRESH new gym, not a remodel or rehash of an old grocery store, and best of all does not feel like a prison. Location is very easily accessible, friendly, perky, and always courteous staff and members as well, always impressed with their bright clean locker room, and a warm shower. Nothing more I could ask for. This is money VERY well spent, I recommend this location to all my family and friends.

I walked in the other day and I went to the desk attendant named Laura, I think she is the manager– She was very rude about taking my key card to sign me in. The facilities are very clean and its a nice place to get my workout in, but the staffs attitude could use some improvement for me to keep my membership at this location.

This is a no-​frills gym experience that I can feel comfortable about. I don’t need all the «extras» of a big gym — just a place where I can get my daily workout in and cleanup afterward. The workout equipment is limited to weights and (mostly) cardio machines, but there are plenty of them to choose from to tailor to any workout régime. The locker rooms are always clean and well stocked and the staff is always polite. My only warning to newcomers would be to make sure you understand the contract and fees when you sign up. Some other reviews have mentioned getting hit with «excessive fees» but they are all outlined in the gym agreement and can easily be tracked. Overall, a very good, low-​hassle gym I would definitely recommend!

The patrons don’t know what they are doing when it comes to work out either. Since the last incident, Eric the front desk attendant is gone, but goes to show that management needs to hire employees and train them to remember that customers are what pays their bills.
Customer service here is absolutely 0, light weights, mostly cardio.

Unbelievably careless customer service when it came time to cancel membership, i was surprised with 29 $ registration fees to begin, and another 29 $ annual fees three months after i signed up!!!
Customer service numbers are a secret, you cant easily get a phone number to call corporate!
Low fees is a scam, 10 $ signs everywhere is a trap!!! I paid 100 $ in 3 months!

No swimming pools, no basketball courts, no day care center, no cappuccino bar, just a lot of workout equipment. If you’re looking for a place to swim or play basketball or hang out and be social, this isn’t the place for you. This is a no frills place to work out and that’s it. The facilities are very clean, there is a ton of great equipment and you can always find an open machine. The other great thing about this place is the price, since they don’t have a lot of unnecessary stuff, the price is only about $ 10 a month. If you are just looking for a place to work out, I highly recommend this place.
