Horrible horrible service. Young waiters have no clue whatsoever how to serve people. We told the guy bean sprouts taste like it’s gone bad, he said ok and walked away. No one bothered to refill water, was busy telling us leftover of side dishes will be charged $ 4. The other guy saw me struggle with a stroller, didn’t even bother holding the door for me. Food… THEWORST Korean food I have ever had in my life! We had to go get a waiter every time we needed service. Didn’t even start with giving us utensils. menus felt so sticky. Just YUCK! Put burning hot dish right in front of my baby in high chair. What the heck are they thinking!!! I have never seen a Korean or any other Asian restaurant charge extra for tiny bowl of rice. Price is ridiculous for what they serve.

Not bad for our first experience at real Korean BBQ. Like you’ve probably already read, you go in and can either choose your meats from a grocery store like case/refrigerator or you can simply order off the menu if you want something different. Our servers were two young guys so they were on their feet for any requests and very good about explaining anything we asked. The side dishes were buffet style, so as much as you can eat as long as you don’t leave any leftover. Leftover side dishes will incur a slight fee, which they make sure to tell you before choosing anything. We chose the beef brisket, pork bulgogi, and 2 other cheaper dishes. We ended up paying 22 $ for everything and left full! Great experience where you can grill your own food and have a little privacy.

This restaurant has changed hands many times. It is now Korean BBQ Market Place. When you walk in, there is a large cooler full of meats and seafood to choose from(I asked if it’s fresh and they said everything was prepped today or yesterday). You choose the protein you would like to grill and put it in a shopping basket. They ring you up and bring it to your table. By the time you sit down, your table is already stocked up with the typical sides. Interesting concept, hence the name«Market Place». It was expensive, portions small, and the food was ok. The service was below average. I had to ask for water refills constantly as the servers all gathered by the register, talking and laughing. Rice is $ 2 a small bowl.

The only reason I give it one start is because to write a review is required. I GIVETHISPLACE0STARS! Horrible service and even though the place was empty we couldn’t ask for a place that was more private to talk about family matters they wanted us in earshot because there was only 2 we could not ask for a location to sit. The price is ridiculous 9.01 for not even a half pound of meat not including rice which they claim costs extra. Last I checked rice want that much to purchase and cook. The«hostess» if that’s what you want to call her was very rude as was the«manager» that refused to let us all for a specific table. As soon as a group of what seemed to be her friends came up she totally ignored me and my friend. Finally we had enough and just plain left if trying to get any decent service even before we paid for a meal what was their attitude if we had stayed. My suggestion is to stay away from this place is not worth it go somewhere else.

My friend and I went here for lunch on a Saturday one day. I had no idea what to do at this place. I have to go get food at the frig and give it to them. Others might enjoy this but I was not impressed. She brings it to our table proceed to cook and without any word just leaves. I guess we do our own cooking. I felt like everything was extra. Rice was extra i feel like that should come with the meal. The service was horriable. Food was ok but overpriced. Not a good place to bring large or elderly people.

Food was okay. Prices are somewhat reasonable. But honestly if you’re going to shop in a refrigerated section for the ingredients you will grill yourself at your table… Why wouldn’t you just drive a mile down the road to HMart, buy the same ingredients(including pre marinated meat) and grill it at home for half the cost and not have to tip someone for cleaning up after you? Was I paying to watch the Chinese basketball Association game?

I’m giving four stars because the food was good and it was fun to make, however the service was non-existent. It took a good two minutes for someone to even come say hello, then rushed to explain that we pick our own meat and cook it ourselves. We were quiet hungry and chose a variety of meat, not really knowing what was what. They promptly brought the sides, but didn’t say what was what, turned on the grill and left. After that no one came by to check on us. They didn’t even offer us a drink! I am usually happy with water, but with this much meat a beer or Pepsi would have been nice. We had to flag down a busboy so we could finally get a water refill, but then the refill was a cup of ice. Now that I think about it, four stars is a little generous. It really was fun and affordable but the service was quite awful.

Saturday February 14th2015, to celebrate our Hearts Day and EARLY Monthly Anniversary, I decide to bring Hubs to this establishment. This LOCATION have seen, many«transitions» with regards to the different number of ESTABLISHMENTs changes over the years etc etc. Time was about 19:50hrs ish. Okies, here is the Deal, aka the«Procedure». If you are NEW with regards to this kind of dining, the staff will explain it to you and show you the«ropes»… You get a «**BLACK** shopping basket», and put what ever you want to BBQ, be it BEEF, POULTRY or other MEATS… and if you want, you also can put the various Vegetable options though limited. Then you go to the«check-out» counter, the staffs will then bring that«BLACK» basket or perhaps a tray to where you will be seating and they will give you a «token» to indicate that is your order etc. You can also OPT to order from the MENU though the items from the MENU is limited. The ones from the MENU, the Kitchen staffs will cook for you. We are given the seats, away from other patrons on the«RIGHT» wing of this establishment. So call the«elevated» separated room, though there are others there with you too. Its so call enclosed but NOT. in a weird way. ALL tables at the«elevated» aka«separated» NOT Enclosed Room, have all Burners /Korean BBQ Grill for you to cook your meats and vegetables etc TAKENOTE: What ever you choose, can«ring» up. coz the Meats or Poultry though slightly limited to our liking, can add up. if you choose those EXPENSIVE cuts etc. So do take note, what you put at your own«BLACK» basket. This kind of «dining» or «market place» may be the 1st in Colorado Soil, but its not our first coz we have seen this kind of «market place» throughout USA. I heard and ever read some where that this establishment is so call the«brother» or the«sister» of that Korean establishment we like along Havana and the one up NORTH in Northglenn. YES, this establishment has potential to grow. But once again, the service can be a hit or miss, coz NONE of the tables here, have those«bells», the ones I missed in those Koreans establishments in town which we have been to. Every staffs that we spoke to, speak English, so you need not to worry about that. Our staffs, do periodically come by when we needed something like water and things I want to order from the MENU. From the Menu, I opt to have : * Stir Fried SQUID — #K7($ 12.99) * Kimchi Pancake aka KimchiJeon — #K3($ 5.99) Take note if you need and want RICE, that will cost you an additional $ 1.00 per bowl, hence since there is 2 of us, it was $ 2.00. From what I could recall the Mixed Mushroom we opt for was($ 1.99) The staffs will then, bring out your MEATS and VEGETABLEs order on a tray, and your choice of beverages and the some what«limited» options of Banchan though its doable to our standards. If I am NOT mistaken, the Banchan consists of Steamed Broccoli with Red Sauce, Beansprouts, Spicy Cucumber Kimchi, Sweet Potatoes, Slices of White Radish, Cucumber and Scallions, Glass Noodles with Julienned Carrots and other Vegetable Sesame, Slices of Fish Cakes, Some kind of Green Vegetable that I forgot the name and another Kimchi. The condiments included are some kind fermented, spicy dipping sauces and soy sauce. There is also a piece of Butter and slices of RAW Garlic and Jalapenos for you to BBQ with your options. A bowl of slices or a bunch of green onions aka scallions with some light dressing is included in your meal. Overall, we take our time to cook the meats and vegetables we opt. The SPICY Octopus is NOT Spicy to my liking, though I requested to be EXTRASPICY which it came out short. As for the Kimchi Pancake, it was OK, though the next time, I would opt for the normal Pancake. Our Dinner that evening with tax is about $ 60. Above anything else, we wish them well in their business undertakings and hope they can prosper many years to come, though the competition for Korean cuisine can be stiff in this part of neighborhood I called K-Town Aurora. Left K-BBQ Market Place at about 21:20hrs ish. TABLE # R3 CHECK # 6507 Server: 1004 Station: 02 Party Size: 2 K-BBQ Market Place 10293 E Iliff Ave Aurora, CO80247 Tel:(303)-745−5115 @48/2015

Kbbq Market Place was awesome! It’s definitely reasonably priced. I’d say 2 people can eat more than enough for less than $ 40? That’s solid, for a kbbq place in Denver. So when you walk in, you get a little basket to choose all your meat. They have all sorts. marinated, not marinated, pork, chicken, beef… seafood… some nasties that I would never choose like intestines. tripe. etc etc. You can also put some lettuce and mushrooms in your basket to make lettuce wraps. Then you give it to the counter, and a server will bring out the meats to you at your table. At the table are multiple side dishes. My favorite is their sweet potato gangjung. it’s like sweetened sweet potatoes hahaha, so delicious. You can always ask for more side dishes at Korean restaurants btw! :) They usually help you cook the meat the first round. but you’d have to cook the rest yourself. And you can always ask them to change the grill if yours is getting too blackened after you cook marinated meat. My favorite meat from this restaurant was the sam gyub sal. which is basically like super thick bacon haha. Make sure you try this! And I also really liked the pork bulgogi. which is pork marinated in spicy sauce. It’s the red one, TRYIT! Korean bbq goes well with Soju which is Korean version of vodka. It’s only 20% alcohol content though. so it’s much weaker. If you’re not driving, you should do some soju shots with your meal :) The staff are all SUPER nice. And speak English. I know that’s a concern sometimes. but they were all fluent :) I’m definitely coming back!!! Oh yeah, they had a pool table in the elevated part of the restaurant. how interesting.

So. The food was lovely. This one star is regarding the horrible actions taken by the young hostess. She did not only offend us but also made me lose all respect for this restaurant. 1.Dont force your«give me a bigger tip» speech on customers who are giving you a tip. 2.Just because we look like«foreigners», Doesn’t mean We dont speak korean. Totally never coming here again.

Korean BBQ Market Place(KBBQMP) is fun, even by the standards of Korean BBQ — which I would classify as top three most fun dining events. By adding an extra layer to your dining experience KBBQMP sets themselves apart from other similar restaurants. Upon arriving at the restaurant the diner will immediately notice what appears to be a grocery store refrigerator case. Inside of that case lie dozens of delicious and tantalizing bbq options. Each option is individually packaged and priced, which allows for creativity of choice without making for an overly expensive dinner(unless, of course, you want to gorge, in which case, c’est la vie). The diner chooses the bbq options that are desired, and then these are brought back to the dining table. Every single thing that I sampled at KBBQMP was delicious, although my favourite was probably the marinated spare ribs. KBBQMP is great for a romantic dinner for two, but is also a surprisingly large restaurant, and would probably be great for a large party. The staff is friendly without being pushy. I had a fantastic meal at KBBQMP and plan to go back for many more in the future.

You get to choose from a selection of uncooked meats that are displayed in a case like you would find at the grocery store. There are many options, including different cuts of beef & pork.(Beef tongue & pork skins were a few that caught our eye.) We did not get a chance to try any seafood but it is available as well. The meat is delivered to your table and you cook it yourself on the built-in grill. The meal also comes with several standard Korean side dishes. Everything tasted great and the service was friendly. We can’t wait to return.

Great new Korean BBQ. Market concept, pick your BBQ items a la carte from market case and grill at your table, with all the usual Korean accompaniments. Wonderful, and less expensive than some of the other Korean BBQ places.
