Had a room booked and they cancelled my room the day my stay was to begin. The employee who called said a current paying customer needed to extend their stay so my reservation was cancelled. I told them I am a paying customer too and have a reservation and confirmation number. They didn’t even attempt to put me up in another location prior to calling. They told me I needed to make a reservation elsewhere. Manager was supposed to call me within 48 hours per their customer relations department, but that didn’t happen either. I had to call back and force them to call and actually speak with someone at the hotel to discuss their policy with while they wanted me to trust that someone would call me after I had waited the 48 hours and received no call back. I have read reviews since booking this hotel and it seems like this happens often.

If I can give this dump NO stars I could! I booked a stay here 5 months in advance, I get a call barely a week before my arrival about 2,500 miles away. They said some guy who was evicted for his place is staying in the suite I requested. They wanted to DOWNGRADE me to a basic room. I said seriously?! This NEVER happens at any hotel, if anything the hotel downgrades the current guest to cater to the already booked client coming in! I was outraged yet they didn’t seem to care. What they’re doing is highly illegal and I will report them! I had to book a room 5 days before my arrival at another hotel where the prices increased due to short notice and they refused to compensate me for it! I couldn’t believe this dump! My family who lives in Aurora, Naperville, Wheaton and Warrenville are now boycotting this joke of a wannabe hotel. Hampton suites down the street catered to my every need and I purchased their largest room! The manager there said that what Candlewood suits is doing is ILLEGAL and IMMORAL! Avoid this dump!

Front desk people were actually helpful. Bed was comfy and the heater wasn’t loud at all and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. These little suites are well stocked with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, 2-burner stove, microwave, flat screen TV, and DVD player. There are enough plates and such for 2 people to eat at the same time. Water volume and pressure in the shower was a bit off, but still adequate. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re going to be staying for more than 1 – 2 nights. There is no included breakfast, but most of the items sold in the little store area are $ 1 – 3(a hot pocket is $ 2, for example)…similar to truck stop prices and pretty decent selection.
