Bryce came out to look at a large Douglas Fir on our property that had been leaking very sticky sap this past summer. Bryce immediately recognized what was going on with the tree, as he had seen this situation many times before He explained what was going on inside the tree very thoroughly. Fortunately, there was nothing seriously wrong with the tree, and Bryce said there was no reason to cut it down, although his company can do that, if necessary. He could have said that the tree should come down in an attempt to get more business for himself, and I wouldn’t have known the difference. Nice to know there are still honest businessmen.

I contacted Thundering Oak for a hazard review of trees around our property. With the recent winds I was concerned about some of the trees around our property. He showed up right on time. Bryce came out and we talked about my concerns and we went around and he educated me about the trees. He was very knowledgeable and helped me understand the possible hazards and what to look for in the spring. He addressed all my concerns and I was very happy we were able to connect. If/when I have future tree needs Thundering Oaks will be on the top of my list.

I recently called to have a large maple tree trimmed down in my backyard. Steve came out and was very professional and courteous. He quoted me between $ 750-$ 1000 for the half days work. After the completion of the project, Steve only charged me $ 460. Rather then make a few hundred dollars profit they were honest and I will definitely use them again. Thanks! David L.

Bad customer service. Don’t waste your time with this company. I called to have a certified arborist hazard report on some trees next to my property. We setup an appointment for 8:30 in the morning, Brice(the arborist that was coming out) called and let me know he was late, which was great but I had to leave for work and he said he can do it without me being there. He called again after he arrived(assumed that he did) and I talk to him about the different trees and he said he sees them. After that, I never hear back from Brice or the company. A week later, I called and spoke to a lady to which she informed me that Brice is working on the report and will get back to me soon. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, I called and left 3 to 4 voice messages(no answers) but no one ever got back to me. I figure that he spent his time coming to my house, he would get back to the customer. Wasted my time and effort trying to give this company my business. When with another company.

Hired Bryce’s crew to come out and take out 480+ foot tall douglas firs. They showed up on time and were very professional. Nothing was damaged and the trees came down safely. They cleaned up the debris in the yard very thoroughly. Great bunch of guys.

Called about a large cedar tree in our yard at our house in Federal Way, WA. The tree seemed to be sick with some dry branches. Bryce came out for a diagnostic visit, which he provided at no charge, and gave us the benefit of his expert knowledge. He assessed the tree’s condition, confirmed its species, and told us what to expect in its lifetime. The diagnosis was that we did not need to take any action for the time being(the tree was healthy) so it didn’t result in immediate business for Thundering Oak, but given Bryce’s courtesy, service, and knowledge, you can bet we’ll call on him for the next job.
