Had a great time on the golf course and good food. So we had a good day golfing and went in for food. The service was great. Had a couple of drafts were awesome. Would come back with friends and fam for a nice game.

It’s just okay. Basic burgers, salads and sandwiches. Hardly any options for a non-meat eater with really limits your choices. It would not be my go to choice as the area has some much better options. It will do the job if you have some time to kill after playing a round. The service can also be slow.

I need to start my review with this– I’ve been to the Ridge several times before for both golf tournaments and lunch and it has always been good. Buuuuuut while here for a tournament we ended at the bar and grill. Our waiter«Jason» came over to the table with an AWFUL attitude. I understand that people have bad days but you’re at work! Please try to be a professional. He is definitely in need of some customer service training and a talk with management.

Bar yes, but Grill«no» /it’s Grill as in Burgers and Fries served up Dining Room style. With Meat Sandwiches, Salads & Some Fried Appetizers, Tacos are Skillet Fried fish. Excellent atmosphere with a view of the green, and inside tall ceilings big screens, Murals… Very well decorated!

One of my favorites. About a ten minute walk from the Auburn airport. If driving, free parking on site. Patio overlooking golf course. Excellent American menu with the best 8-ounce premium beef burger anywhere. Good soups and salads.

While visiting the Ridge Golf Course, we decided to have lunch here as the deck had a nice view and seemed a nice place to relax a bit. The bar had lots of beers and wine and I think it’s a full bar as well. There wasn’t any shady tables when we arrived, but the nice server was good enough to set a shade umbrella up for us. We got a nice table by the rail with a view of the golf course. We had beers and checked out the menu. I decide to be a little healthy and get the BLT salad($ 8.95) and my BF had the Bunker Burger($ 11.95) which was a ½ lb. burger with Teriyaki glaze, Pineapple, and Swiss Cheese, served with the house special fries. It did seem to take a while for the food to come out, not that we were in any rush, so we chilled with our beers. The food arrives and my salad looks like, well a salad, nothing to get too excited over. The burger looked quite high with 3 rings of pineapple stuffed inside, with the Teriyaki sauce oozing out on the side. But what looked really tasty were those fries, with Parmesan cheese and garlic all over them. The meat certainly was big between those buns! He had to take out 2 of the pineapple rings to be able to stuff that burger in. The taste though was not all that spectacular. More of a meat and bun experience. This could have used bacon! I, of course had to sample the fries! My salad was OK. Ranch dressing on the side, the bacon was plentiful, but more or less just a salad. The highlight I’d say, were the House French fries. Our server might not have been as attentive as we would have liked, but I rarely find super service at golf course restaurants. It was an OK experience, but we probably won’t be back as there’s a lot of other place to choose from for nice outdoor dining.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and we ordered the 2 sand which specials at the time. He got fries and I got a side garden salad. I couldn’t believe how amazing our food was! Not to mention the great view while you eat! We also ordered a couple Grey goose martinis that were one of the best we have had! A lot of bartenders never make them dirty enough. The younger bartender don’t remember his name, he has blonde hair buzz cut early mid 20s maybe. He waited on us and made our drinks. We had a great experience! I want to eat here all the time!!!

We sat down at 1:30p. The place was pretty empty, except for about 20 of us that just finished an event in the ballroom. We finally started seeing food around 2:30. The last plate may have made it to the table by 3. During that time no one checked on us. Water, coffee, etc.. . My parents were ready to leave. If we hadn’t been there with other friends, we would have left. Then I received a wilted warm salad, with a not so hot«hot» sandwich, flavors not so grand either. Tried the coleslaw and wanted to spit it out. My husband’s sandwich wasn’t any better. The children had good BLTs. That is worth one star. Won’t be coming back for lunch and definitely not with a large group. Finally left at 4pm and not cause I was having to much fun.

I’m still coming here for lunch and loving it. Not a huge menu but enough choices. I really love their burgers and they make a great Reuben. Their garlic fries are great and I wish they would make these the standard and not charge extra. They also have lighter items like soup and salads.

O.k. Landed at the Auburn Airport and walked two blocks to this Restaurant. On the way we passed an Outdoor Bird and duck sanctuary that was just delightfully amazing.(Peacocks, ducks, Koi Fish, Tortoise etc. Could spend hours just sitting on the park bench and watching the wildlife.) We came for the Mothers day Brunch and found the place is very packed. We had reservations and were seated timely. The brunch was great. The Mimosa’s were included along with Juices and coffee. The prime rib, Tri Tip and Lamb were all available and very tasty. I feel that finding this restaurant within walking distance to the airport gave us a very memorable Mothers day with both My Mother(Who lives in Orangevale and My wife’s mother who lives in Grass Valley. Thanks for the memories and we will be back. Forgot to mention that the facility was fairly new, large and clean.(The bathrooms were very nice) The views were also grand. The brunch price on May 2014; 34.95 adults and 12.95 Children over 5. This seemed inline for brunch prices.

The Ridge Bar & Restaurant is not your ordinary golf course restaurant. The building and Pro Shop are 2nd to none. That’s the difference… they have to be good to host as many events as they do. I’m a golfer so I know how great this restaurant really is. The staff are young and eager to please. After a round we can have a beer or lunch and sit on the large and inviting patio overlooking all those green fairways and sometimes even watch the setting sun. So beautiful. As for the food it’s GREAT! We love the salads, fries and everything in between. Especially try the Walnut Bread. I usually get the Turkey Walnut Bread sandwich or the Chicken Salad. ONLY, ONLY negative is that the restaurant closes at 3PM but they are planning to stay open longer in the near future. Hopefully, real soon. Gary A

We eat lunch here frequently as it’s very close to work. The food is AWESOME every time and it’s nice to sit outside on the patio in good weather. Bert is great and has made numerous positive changes here in last year and half, so if you haven’t been here in a while, it’s time for you to return. See you all soon!

We have been coming here for lunch in the past 5 years but our last trip today was the last! The menu shrank and just a few items from it was available because all hamburger patties frozen and they won’t offer it! So fish and chips for me and my wife’s salmon burger was just bread and patty no vegetables all for $ 32 big disappointment.

second trip was as good as the first. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The view is great. I don’t golf so I’m not familiar with the typical golf course food but we drive about an hour to get here and it is worth it.

Bought a groupon for the bar and grille, otherwise would of never thought to just visit the place other then golf. The food was great, I had the spicy Caesar salad it was fresh and just like described spicy. My girlfriend had the pastrami Reuben, it was delicious. The rye bread was great. Would highly recommend stopping by for a lunch is in the area. Sit on the patio and watch the golfers go out of bounds on the tenth tee.

Flew in to KAUN and walked down the restaurant. The food was excellent, very nice setting. We sat outside on the deck with views of the course. Excellent alternative to the Wings Grill on the airport, especially since they close at 2pm.

We ate here today before our round. I had heard that the grill was tasty but dismissed that notion; I’ve had enough golf course food to know that the grub served hovers in a narrow band between barely edible and Applebee’s. Boy, was I wrong. At our table was a tremendous crispy chicken piccata, with the chicken juicy and with good gnocchi underneath, a beef po-boy on a soft, fresh roll with crispy cole-slaw, and the BESTFRIES I HAVEHADINYEARS. Served hot from the frier, they came tossed with very thin slices of de-seeded fresh jalapeño and a milder red pepper, garlic, and maybe a parmesan/peccorino romano blend and some herbs. TREMENDOUS.

Ok, it’s a golf course, but the food is really outstanding and they have a great selection of beer and some good wine. My favorite is the oak plank salmon, served over a roasted tomato and bean concoction that’s just amazing. The burgers are great and you can ‘t go wrong with any of the entrees or appetizers. On Saturdays they have music on the patio. A great time.

Auburn’s best country club restaurant facility. This is also the best place to have a wedding reception or private event — - also listed under«The Ridge Event Center». This is my wife’s favorite place to go for business lunches in the Auburn area.
