Quick Lube Service Center

A short response for the post by Tiffany. What she posted is her perspective, What transpired is close, but not exactly as she presented. We tried to accomodate her. A less confrontational manner would have completely eliminated the stuation. It was a stuation that was unfortunate and unnecessary.

I would like everyone to know that this business is ILLEGALLY not allowing service dogs in there building. I was told I couldn’t bring my service dog in the waiting room while my car was getting an oil change, I said ok we will wait in the yard. Then realized I needed to pay. Stuck my head in the door and told the girl I needed to pay and that I was told I couldn’t bring my service dog in so could she come get the money (it was about 4 steps for her) she said no put the dog in the car, I said the car is still being worked on in the garage plus it’s 95 degrees outside so
She said well tie her up outside. Too risky because it is next to a road. I told the male owner I will never be back here again after being a customer for 10 years and 3 cars. He said we already talked about your service dog not being allowed inside and I should have just left her at home REALLY!!! These are greedy horrible people with no heart. By the way my oil change also took 1 hour. Just because you don’t feel like having serve dogs in your establishment, tough shit! ITS THE LAW!!!

Went here for years. Never had bad service. Highly recommend.
Oil change businesses should learn from this one how to do it right.

This is the place to go for a fast, no pressure oil change. Took one car in on the 23^rd, and the other on the 24^th. Total time from pulling up to driving away, was MAYBE 20 minutes (both cars combined). Took a car to the other «really fast oil change» place a few miles up HWY 49 and was there for an hour. The other «fast» place, not only tried to sale me on unnecessary maintenance (see below), but found the oil cap loose when I got home (like just sitting on the spout). Nice. Not only did Quick Lube remember the freaking oil cap, the offered to change to air filters. I politely declined and the POLITELY acknowledged my request. Quick Lube will be my go to oil change establishment here in Auburn for the future!
So about that unnecessary maintenance, I drive a 2012 Outback. I went in for a simple oil change. 45 minutes later they called me back to my car. Sitting on the engine of my car was a Styrofoam cup of black goo. The «technician» told me that the black goo was pulled from my front axle, and «these cars need this fluid changed every 30k miles». I declined the 90.00 «maintenance» and the «technician» simply threw it in the garbage and walked away. Fast forward 2 weeks, I had to go to the Subaru dealership for the cars 30k maintenence. When I picked up my car I asked the Subaru technician about the black goo. He looked just as puzzled as I did. They only require to check the fluid at 30k, change (if needed) a 60k… Thanks Speedy…

after submitting my initial review, I was contacted by Quick Lube’s service manager. He apologized and confidently expressed that the internal situation is being addressed. He also offered a complimentary oil change to make up for my loss in confidence. I appreciate Quick Lube’s interest in keeping their customers happy. This review is for their follow up and the service manager’s interest in making the situation right. I would expect a much improved customer interaction on my next visit.

We have been here for a smog that took about 15 minutes and an oil change in less than 10. They are the pit crew of oil changes!

Took my pickup in for oil change. I watched from outside the bay to see what they werte doing. No one checked the rear differencial. When they started the truck to pull it out, I said «did you check the rear diff?». The «lower» tech stated «I checked the front, middle and rear». I said that I was watching and no hands ever got close to the rear diff. The clerk stated that this was their best man. I said that’s nice but he never touched the rear diff. Makes me wonder what else was skipped. Will not be back.

Nice fast oil change. Prices seem competitive and after many years, nothing has gone wrong! They always top off my wiper fluid as well.

Today I received a call from the business owner. We had a frank and polite discussion and I found him to be a courteous and professional person that does want to do what is right for his customers. He is concerned about the satisfaction of his clients which in my opinion is the key to long-​term success in business– especially in a small community like Auburn.
I will take my business back to his shop for my next oil change based upon our conversation.

I have had a couple of vehicles smogged here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been all over the foothills for smog checks, and there are not too many shops I would recommend; however, this one gets a recommendation from me.
The service was good, the staff friendly. Not the cheapest or fastest smog place in the area, but I will certainly return here. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
