Please get a second opinion. I would have had a hysterectomy/​rectocele/​cystocele for a vaginal cyst; how this was recommended is beyond me. With a surgery and decision this large, I decided to just make sure this was the case. I trusted my instincts; changed my insurance company (which took forever but I had to trust my gut), switched providers, and got the shocking second opinion that it was not in fact a prolapsed uterus, but a vaginal wall cyst that surgery removed in about 30 minutes. I did not need a rectocele or cystocele, and everything is perfect down there again. I would be missing a uterus right now, have had major surgery and needless repairs, and still have the cyst had I trusted this doctors opinion. I understand that everyone is fallible, but this was a tremendous misdiagnosis.
