InTown Granite and Marble

Dissatisfied with these guys. Took three trips over a month to complete the install and still waiting on them to come out and repair a large area they missed when applying the sealer. They cancel there appointment without notifying me and won’t return calls. The only way they would believe me that they missed an area was to shoot a video of the countertops and take it to them. Zero customer satisfaction, still waiting for them complete the job. Run as fast and far away from Intown Granite as you can…

Love this place. I can’t believe how great their prices and selection are. Staff is knowledgeable. Install guys were quick, not amazing quality job, but I feel like it’s fine for the price.

Great price and decent selection. We are satisfied with the craftsmanship and the counters look good. The problem we had, however, has to do with the integrity and honesty of the salesman and manager. I measured and remeasured my counters and included a backsplash in my calculation. The square footage we were quoted included the same, to our knowledge.
At the time of install they did not put in a backsplash and when I questioned this, they told me we didn’t order one. The problem is the square footage I paid for is 6 square feet more than what is in my kitchen.
After repeated attempts to discuss with several different people, they refused to let me see their final measurements… and they did not return phone calls as promised.
The only recourse we have is to write this review and caution potential customers about this company’s integrity. Make sure you see every detail before giving them money.

We chose this company because they seemed to have really good deals and their website promised great quality with low overhead costs. The photos were good and I loved that they were transparent about their prices on their website. The guy who helped us pick our Quartz was really nice and helpful and we were able to get measured within 5 days and set the install date for 1 ½ weeks away which is awesome. We also ended up only needing two slabs they already had in stock so for about 50 sq feet of countertop our estimate was for around $ 3000. When a guy came for the measurements he was really nice and pointed out 3 spots we needed to adjust the leveling and add support. Then the install… So I was really excited for this day obviously but the lead guy who came to install was really disappointing after how great everyone else at Intown had been. He was rude, huffing at me that the cabinets weren’t level. When I asked him how I could make the adjustments, he rolled his eyes at me and grunted at me sarcastically. I’m a woman but I know what a shim does and how to put one in. So I asked him how we could solve the problem and he acted like there was nothing that could be done and that he would have to charge us to come out another day because my problem was putting him off schedule. I called my husband who was 20 minutes away at a job site and told him he needed to come home to level our cabinets somehow. After my husband left from work and hung up, the installation guy sighed heavily for 5 minutes and then set about shimming the countertop with wood strips to make it level. Um, what the heck? I thought it was impossible. So my husband got home when they were finishing that side… Yes now we need to cover the small gap with a quarter round trim but I was clearly desperate and had asked him if there was any solution and he acted like there was none. The install guy was nice to my husband, rude to me, didn’t seal the counter to the wall with silicon everywhere. Only 4 spots were sealed, so strange! They scratched our painted wall which I understand can happen and can fix, but the rudeness was too much. We had a «conversation» about the number of brackets needed for our raised island where he treated me like an idiot and he insulted the guy from his own company who did our measurement to me saying that guy messed up by not pointing out all the issues with our kitchen cabinets. Well at least that guy wasn’t a jerk! I am still glad we used this place because we love the Quartz we got and everyone else was nice, but that ONE guy really ruined the experience of paying thousands of dollars for counters you have been wanting forever :(also, they did not by any means, do a good job with the seam. They somehow got some dirt or grease rubbed into the glue and on the counters edge, the glued seam is a dark line from what got in there. You can see it very easily as the rest of the counter and seam is clear and that part is dirty and embedded into the seam. Such mixed feelings about this company! I keep wondering if I could have gotten the same timeliness, cost, and counter top at a different place and had better results.

I’m happy with the granite. There were some issues re-​installing the plumbing because they used wood joints that got in the way. I also had some communication issues.

The staff is very knowledgable and very helpful in planning out our kitchen countertops! On top of it very fast install less than a week from template to install!
Highly recommend! Can’t wait to do more upgrading in our house to use them again for the bathrooms when we are ready! ;)

We were mostly happy with the results and the price was pretty good. However, we had some bad outcomes. It was due to communication problems — our inexperience as well as their staff not getting things right. We are living with some of the problems, but we are still thinking about what to do to hide an opening on the side of our stove. Just make sure to write and show photos of what you want, double-​check and go in person, or get a contractor to communicate for you.

I am thrilled by the service and granite we received from InTown Granite and Marble. We just completed a full kitchen remodel — down to the studs. Our contractor had been on several jobs with InTown and was very impressed with both their work and their price. He gave us their phone number and we made the drive from Tacoma to Auburn to check them out in June 2013.
Their showroom carried all of the selections anyone could ask for: granite, marble, and quartz in every hue and pattern under the sun. From the beginning Stephanie was incredibly knowledgeable. She educated us on the differences between the stone and we ended up going with granite for it’s heat resistance, natural patterns, and life-​time seal (that they do). We picked out two slabs — one for our counters and a remnant for our island. Throughout the process Stephanie was very informative, patient, and personable. When we got to the price, it was MUCH lower than other places we had looked. We saved over $ 1200 with them.
In September 2013 we were ready for install. Stephanie had set our remnant aside for 3 months — and kept it for us! I called about 2 weeks ahead and they sent out Wes to measure. He was very professional, answered our questions, and consulted on how big to make the island. Six days later they came back out to install and everything fit like a glove. The process was smooth and easy. My counters are SOOOOOO beautiful!!! I truly could not be more pleased.
I am so thankful that our contractor sent us their way. I now have the kitchen of my dreams.
