Wilks Demolition & Construction

I hired Wilks Demolition and Construction to do an easy shower remodel… take down 3 old shower walls and put up 3 new shower walls and a new bathtub faucet. He was the lowest bidder and a ‘proud Christian and Veteran’ and said it would be completed in less than a day. He asked for ½ payment upfront in cash, which was fine. On the morning of the 3^rd day (and a day off from work for me without pay), he demanded the rest of the payment promising his worker would finish that day. By late afternoon, the worker said he did all he could do, and the work was horrible! It was unfinished and sloppy. I told him it was unacceptable, but he left in a huff without hauling away all the debris he left in my backyard. When I told him the contract said ‘haul away debris’, he said «Not in MY truck»! and drove off. I had already paid full price (which ended up being much more than was quoted in the beginning), so I took pictures and sent them to the owner Ronnie (who DID NOT come and inspect the final work). He agreed the work was bad and promised to send someone to fix it. After a month, it still is not fixed so I sent him a text saying I will be going to court to get a full refund. So now his wife Liz is texting me, telling me she is very sorry and that she will personally hand deliver a full cash refund in 2 weeks (which would be today). I did not hear anything so did some investigation on social media and found out they left 2 days ago for an extended vacation. This is a very dishonest company with unprofessional workmanship, and to top it off the owner Ronnie made me very uncomfortable with his flirtatious advances. I DO NOT recommend this company for even your smallest job.
