I used to work for this company 20 years ago, and my boss(who’s now a DM) would never allow this level of poor customer service. No one bothers to greet you, no one asks if you need help finding something nothing. There no structure to how you check out or get help at the parts counter. You just wait in front of the counter and everyone is kinda like on an honor system to let the person who’s been waiting the longest go next. But I do have to say these people have the best knowledge about auto parts, and auto repair.

Among all the auto part stores that I’ve been to before, this is possibly the worst one, especially concerning customer service. Now to be fair, this has happened 9 out of the 10 times that I’ve been there and I keep telling myself why do I keep going back to such a place with people that has horrible customer service. Notice I stated that the place and people are not horrible, but their customer service skills only. I’m not a classy person who demands royalty service, but I expect to be treated at the very least like I exist there as a live human being. They don’t say hi. Most of the employees are grumpy and avoid eye contact with customers. They don’t have a good waiting system for customer. Everyone just stands in front of the counter waiting to be service next, and we don’t really know who’s next because there is not line. The bottom line is that I expect a simple greeting like saying hello and asking me if I need any help. Make oneself available in case a customer has a question. They are always hiding in the back, letting one person handle all the customer in the front. Now, one of the most interesting point here is that the managers and assistant managers are the ones who are doing this along with other employees of course. I guess they know how to bull shit their way up the ladder, but they obviously have poor customer service common sense. It’s a good thing that Auto Zone opened up a new auto part store across the street. At least the courtesy to say a simple«hello», «let me know if you need any help», «sorry about the wait, but someone will be right with you», «thanks and good bye». That’s all I am asking for and I’m sure 99% of the population expect at the very least to be greeted like that.
