7-Eleven

Still seven eleven. Outdated food, nasty hotdogs, but still, I always need to go in one. Watch out, the clerks like to pass bad bills to the customers.

Atlantic City, I’ve just blown too much money on craps and the waitresses seem to know it and are avoiding taking my drink order. I probably should have left a tip the first 5 times they came by. I head outside and it is too hot to go anywhere. I’ve started sweating and I’m still standing in the doorway of the casino. I notice the 711 sign in the distance and I resort to my primal (college) instincts and head toward the sign. 7 dollars on tequila from the liquor store down the street, and a large cherry Slurpee and I have myself a ghetto margarita that is unperceivable to the narcs patrolling the boardwalk.
When your wallet is thin, and you are thirsty, it’s nice to know there is a 7 – 11 somewhere nearby to take care of you.
