This event, via the ever so creative Indie Craft Experience team, was nothing short of amazing. Wedding shows are scary for a bride like me. When asked to explain what shade of ivory my dress is or the panatone of blue I envision I start to sweat. Thankfully this wedding fair was creative, simple, diverse and dare I say fun? Wedding Planning is supposed to be fun and not like performing at Carnegie Hall. This event truly embodied the fun and laid back atmosphere that you expect from crafty folks. The only downside of the whole deal was they had only one line for entry whether you bought a ticket beforehand or not. Kinda annoying because you had to wait about 20 minutes to get in the door, but no one is perfect. They gave me an awesome swag bag and clipboard to take notes on, and I was really impressed with the diversity of the vendors. They had graphic designers, photographers, food vendors, stationary designers, a table decorating contest, seamstresses\fashion designers, and jewelry galore. The space is nice and open, although I wouldn’t suggest a DJ or drinks until after noon? Although I must say when my mom had a mimosa it made the day a lot more pleasant for me. so actually scratch that. All in all, it was a nice component to the traditional wedding shows. If you’re looking for a more handmade weddings type of vibe or just want a little inspiration, I highly suggest this show and all of the general awesomeness that ICE Atlanta provides.
