Eclectic, adventurous, and secluded. The Goat Farm is out of the way and is somewhat of a secret, I’ve found, and I only heard rumors of «some coffee shop there somewhere.» My husband I decided to check out TGF and try to find this mysterious coffee shop one Saturday and were happily surprised with what we found: an interior like an antique store + library, cozy and interesting furniture, a good handful of places to sit and curl up with one of the many books, and a very tasty Vietnamese coffee. The place is very casual – there was a dog hanging out behind the counter – and everything you order is donations based. The lady who served us answered some questions about TGF for me before I left, but she wasn’t the friendliest sort at the beginning. I think she may have been pissed at the internet’s apparent problems, but I expected a more welcoming demeanor from someone at a place like TGF. We loved The Warhorse so much and we were so absorbed in the literature we found, I think we ended up staying inside for 2 hours. There are also many small tables with chairs outside. This is a great place to relax and chill out away from it all. Definitely worth the drive from Midtown and the surrounding areas.

I was super excited and wrote a super duper long review that Unilocal did not let me post. Fine! you must go there, be patient(there is no waiting line, dont worry), be adventurous, be daring, be open-minded, and be genuine. There isn’t any espresso machine but who cares. They do not charge for the coffee or tea but bring cash for donations. Pay a visit to 2 goats, a llama, and a donkey in the fenced area at the entrance of the property. the goats were quite friendly. they came to greet us but they did not like paparazzi. as soon as I tried to take their photos with my phone, they walked away.

My cousins and I stopped by this place on a whim and it was an awesome surprise. This hidden gem is quaint and such a refreshing coffee/tea joint compared to some of the other places in town. The décor consists of old typewriters, rotary phones, dusty old books, and really cool vintage furniture. There’s a nice menu of loose leaf teas and coffees that are all free, but donations are accepted – and I highly recommend leaving a few dollars to help keep this place thriving! If you’re looking for a one of a kind experience, I highly recommend a visit here!

I’m not sure how long this will keep up for, but the last time I was there a few weeks ago, there was no charge for the coffee or tea. Seriously. You provide what you think to be a fair. Try to remember to bring cash, as the donation cannot be accepted from cards(unless what you want to draw money out of the ATM that has a fee attached to it). Please do not ruin this awesome practice by flooding this place without paying for anything. You’d be a huge douche and if I met you in person, well, let’s just say, «I’m not threatening you. I’m just making a promise.» Yes, it’s that grave, homie. Anyway, like the rest of the Goat Farm, you cannot take photos with any type of camera that has a protruding lens of any sort without a permit(I can’t remember how you obtain one of these, but if you really want to take pictures, ask anyone who works for the Goat Farm). I think the only kind that won’t land you in hot water(or hot tea or hot coffee, as the case may be) is your phone camera. This place is just as neat as the rest of the farm and photos of it probably have already flooded social media. I got tea, which happened to be of my favorite commercial brand, Harney & Sons. I haven’t tried coffee though I bet it’s a drip type of coffee, with probably just one variety a day. I didn’t see any coffee/espresso machines, so unless they are hidden from plain sight, the coffee option is simple. I spent about an hour reading in a comfy armchair with an ottoman. It was just me and the guy who prepared my tea and accepted my donation. It was kind of quiet and that may creep out some people, but not me. I left when some of the construction guys doing the work outside came in for lunch. I wasn’t mad whatsoever; I understand that we all have to eat. But since I can get easily distracted, I left and it was probably time for me to empty my bladder anyway. Come check out the Warhouse Coffee Joint. It’s super cool.

Came here a few months ago. Definitely a cool little spot. The guy who was manning the coffee bar was playing some really good North African music. It’s nice to come in here and just kick back for a while. You can get a coffee, they don’t charge any money but accept donations. I always try to give a few bucks. I got an iced chai and it hit the spot. There are a lot of old books and antiques in here. It’s fun to just look around.
