This place used to be 5 star! As a former northeastern-er(NYC and DC) I’m a bit of a bagel snob. Do they have lox?(sliced nova) Check! Do they have Black Russian bagel? Check! Do we get bagels once a week either Saturday or Sunday morning? Check! Are the bagels great and more delicious than Einsteins? In 2015 check! But now, sadly, 3 weeks in a row, our bagels are misshaped blobs of dough that taste funny. I don’t know if it’s a new owner or new cook, but it’s not good anymore. See the picture, 3 of our 4 bagels have been in our to-go bag and have looked like weird oblong blobs the past 3 weekends. And therefore, some parts of the bagel have large holes in the middle, some are chewy, some are dough-y Fix this issue, please! I loved it here and we’re giving it one more week before giving up! I don’t need a gross tasting Black Russian bagel more than I need a decent but not great bagel from Einsteins. Like I said, 3 of my 4 to go bagels have been like this for the past 3 weeks. That’s 9 bagels I’ve bought and paid for that were WAY less than delicious.

I always search for near by bagel shops and Brooklyn water bagel has been one of my favorites yet. I visit this location weekly, the food is always consistent and fresh. Staff is very friendly, the guy making the bagels has been there since I first started coming and always happy and greeting me whenever I come in.

I love these bagels, especially bacon, egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel! I’m almost positive it’s the best bagel I’ve ever had.

Being that I am from NY now living here in GA I must say that the bagels taste close to NY bagels. I bought the bacon egg and cheese on a sesame seed bagel. Can I say yuucckkk!!! The bacon and eggs were like cooked or something together. The bacon was watery and rubbery like the eggs. I like crispy bacon made seperetly from the eggs and that wasn’t the case.

I have been here about 8 times and every time my order was wrong, except once. I only get a bagel… I ask for it scooped… with cream cheese… not toasted. It comes out not scooped, toasted, or a combination of the two. Each time I have sent my order back. They do make it over correctly the second time. They gave me a free meal twice because they screw up so much. I keep giving this place more and more chances because I Ike the bagels, but it is so inconsistent that I can’t keep going back anymore. It’s aggravating to walk into a place knowing your order will ALWAYS be wrong the first time.

Love coming here as my option to Einsteins. I prefer these bagels because they don’t burn the edges when toasted. The choices are not as many as Einsteins but I almost always get the same multigrain bagel. The ice coffee is one of the best I had and truly unique because the ice cubes used is frozen coffee.

The bagel sandwich only look great in the pictures but not worth spending a dime in this place. The sandwich was filthy and tasteless. Need to improve there customer service. They don’t known how to keep there customers happy. Very disappointed.

Best bagel place I have found in Atlanta… they also are good if you freeze them and want them later on.

More of a hype. Bagels weren’t bad but nothing exceptional. I guess I still like the Einstein Bagels more. I will try this place again to give a more thorough review. So, until then please do not judge by the stars I gave.

Every year when we have a convention in ATL I always make sure to stop here! The service continues to be amazing. The bagels cannot be beat and the iced coffee. Well that’s the best thing ever. The iced coffee is actually frozen cubes so that your coffee doesn’t get watered down… sorry but Starbucks has nothing on this coffee!!! I always leave with a bag of goodies to take back home! If you’re in the area or just need to try somewhere new this definitely needs to be on your list!!!

Gotta say I love these bagels. they do they do them RIGHT. Crunchy outside, soft inside, no need to toast and they are delicious! Def. a GOODNY bagel in Atlanta! Prices are a little more expensive than Einstein’s but I can eat like 3 of those bagels and can only eat one of Brooklyn’s so I am overall very satisfied. Also I live in the Vinings area so I always get good coupons!

YUMYUMYUM. Love their bagel egg sandwiches!!! If you’re like me and you don’t eat a lot of bread, I would suggest to order it «Scooped» which means they scoop some of the bread out of the bagel(makes it lower carb and lower cal). I haven’t tried it yet, but I hear their coffee is great, including the iced coffee, where they have coffee ice cubes to put in it so that it doesn’t get watered down with water-based ice cubes.

Yum! The Asiago cheese bagel with sausage, eggs and cheese added was amazing. The sandwiches are huge so bring your appetite, and with the many coffee options and different sandwich combination, this place is definitely a winner!!! Fast and friendly service(we took our order to go), prices are reasonable, and the restaurant was clean, even the long beverage station. Still havent figured out the whole water thing… Lol… but there will definitely be a return visit, sooner than later.

Great little bagel shop! I received very friendly, polite service unlike some that have left reviews. My bagel was made correctly, and was beautiful. Real, fresh cheddar, a very large & freshly cooked egg on a deliciously & perfectly toasted plain bagel. Easy enough, but the people at the atrocity known as Einsteins have screwed that up more times than I can count. The iced coffee is amazing. The ice cubes are frozen coffee and you can pick the coffee you’d like. They also have a little pump bar with milks and syrups to add to your coffee yourself to make it suite you. This was my first visit & it certainly won’t be my last!

The reason I’m giving 3 stars is because I emailed them about my satisfaction and nothing has changed. When they opened almost 3 years ago, it was great. Just as good as the locations in South Florida. We come to Brooklyn Water Bagel on a weekly basis, every single weekend, and like clockwork, the guy in the back making the bagels does a great job. The bagels are delicious, and the bagels are very consistent. That’s the best part about this place. I’m not going to say that I’m not sure what has changed, but it is very obvious what has changed… the people that work there. I’m not sure if the owner isn’t nice to them or doesn’t pay them enough, but the people that work there make or break the place. The people that work behind the counter continuously screw up orders, and the place is just filthy. When there’s not a line, the people behind the cash registers just stand there staring around, when they really should be walking through and tidying up, cleaning up, etc. Any other restaurants that cares about how clean they are will go through and clean up the floors, wipe the coffee area, etc. I typically don’t give bad reviews, because I like to give the business the benefit of the doubt, especially if I only go there occasionally, but I visit this place easily 50+ times per year, and I’m reporting what I have been seeing there at least for the past year. I emailed the corporate website about this location, and somebody called me back to speak with them. I didn’t return the call, because I didn’t feel I needed to say anything else other than what I put in the email, nor did I want to accept the free bagel, or whatever it was going to be that they were going to offer me. Instead, I sat back to see if they actually did anything, and they didn’t. Also, besides maybe one or two people, the staff appears to be bothered by anybody that asks for anything other than their order, and are far from friendly. When they first opened, everybody was nice, everything was working perfect, the place was clean, it was great. I feel like ever since April left, the place has gone downhill. I’m not sure if she was a manager or something, but she always seemed to keep the place in good shape. Lastly, I feel that the pastries are often stale, or they run out of certain things. A black-and-white cookie shouldn’t be able to break a window by 10AM on a Saturday morning. If you have some left over from the night before, you need to throw them away, not serve them the next morning. I don’t know if you’re trying to save money or not, but your customers want fresh food. To the owner of this place, you need to do a better job keeping it clean. You need to schedule your staff so there is at least one person walking around and cleaning up all the time. You also need to have friendlier staff, and make them seem like they actually want to be there serving customers.

I was in the area for business and needed a place that was close for breakfast. I’d been to the other restaurants in the area previously but never to this one. The interior is as you would expect for a theme, bold prints on the wallpaper, plenty of seating, and you can even watch them prepare the bagels. The bagels are good and better than some of the local competition. Service was decent. Plenty of parking.

Maybe my expectations were a little too high in thinking these bagels were going to blow my mind. My anticipation built up when I walked past the kitchen windows and saw their Brooklyn Water machine and how even the soda fountain serves«Brooklyn Water.» Look at the walls around you, they’re all about New York. My boyfriend and I each got a bagel sandwich and here’s how they measured up: Everything Bagel with sliced nova: My goodness, the cream cheese was thick on this one! When ordering, they ask if you’d like the other items on it. Uh, yes, please: tomato, onions, capers and make it toasted. The result was a massive sandwich. Asiago Bagel with egg/veggies: It was like having a veggie omelette in a sandwich. This was alright. I think we both preferred the bagel sandwich with the nova. I give this place points for a consistent bagel because Einstein’s(and I know we’re comparing this place to a franchise, so it’s not even apples to apples) tends to serve some oddly, uneven shaped bagels. However, Brooklyn Water Bagels’ bagels almost seems too perfect, like a robot must have made these to be so consistent. And well, I just couldn’t taste or see what made these bagels so special or out of the ordinary. Maybe I need to truly eat a bagel in Brooklyn to find out. Probably won’t be coming back again.

I was craving smoked salmon and the closest place to satisfy my need was a lox bagel at The Original Brooklyn Water Bagels Co. I’d never been and I’d only had water bagels at BB’s Bagels(a favorite). I’ll be visiting again :) Oh and they have a glass window were you can watch how they make water bagels! NOVABAGELSANDWICH — $ 7.99 Mission accomplished. Good serving of smoked salmon, also red onions, capers, tomato and … well, too much cream cheese which I had to scrape out. Loved my bagel most of all — chose the multi-grain which was perfectly toasted and had a nice chew. Next time I’d also like to try their gigantic black/white cookies that Kristin B was raving about. They were sold-out when I went.

Brooklyn Water Bagels is probably my favorite of the chain bagel places. This outpost is located in the strip mall next to the Bed Bath & Beyond. Like their name states, they use the same kind of water that they use in Brooklyn, and they are one of the few places that actually boils their bagels, resulting in a «chew» that most other places can’t replicate. Though they have a pretty full menu of breakfast and lunch foods both with and without bagels, you can’t go wrong with a basic everything bagel and a schmear, which will only set you back a couple of bucks. The whole bakery case of sweet options also looks very tempting, especially the black and white cookies! I also appreciate their wide variety of drink options, including the fact that the iced coffee comes with frozen coffee ice cubes to keep your drink from diluting as the ice melts. All in all, a solid bagel joint.
