This is a bar that has some food, it is not a restaurant. I was at a conference at this Hotel and this is the only place in the hotel that serves food at night. On our second night we accidentally discovered a number of good restaurants within walking distance — much better choices. If you eat here be prepared to be there a long time — dinner took about 3 hours. It took the first half hour to get a beer. There are five(5) entrée choices — that’s it, and none of them are especially exciting. It was OK — nothing to rave about or complain about either other than the really slow service. It was ¾ empty as well, so that wasn’t the issue. Do yourself a favor and ask the Concierge for the map with the area restaurants.

Good selection of beer, wine and full bar. I had a decent old fashioned with Woodford reserve, but the glass was only about ¾ full and not super pretty. The drink was only $ 7.50, which is a good price for that brand… The New York strip($ 25) was great! Cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Came with choice of 2 sides, I had asparagus and rice pilaf. Both were good. Nice place to eat if you are staying at the hotel. I also sat on the patio, where they had a nice fire pit.

Staying at the Emory Conference Center Hotel and decided to stay in and eat at the Club Lounge Bar/Restaurant tonight. I had just the most friendly and attentive waiter named Albert, just loved this guy! I asked him which mains he liked and he mentioned two, one of which was the salmon which I ended up ordering and it was great, just cooked perfectly! Had a chopped salad to start which was very nice and ordered a bottle of wine which Albert was worried about because I had an expression on my face which made it seem I did not like the wine, he sincerely seemed concerned. He suggested first trying a new glass since there could be cleaning chemical residue in the glass and once Albert replaced the glass the wine was great. It was his sincere concern about my liking the food and wine that touched me the most. Hard to find a waiter who cares so much and has such a strong desire to please the customer! Great employee! And no, I am not related to Albert nor have we ever meet before!!! Go and ask for Albert.

Wish I could give a better review. Sunday late afternoon — just finished a presentation and hadn’t eaten since early that day so I was hungry and tired and craving a burger. Got here while every TV was blaring a football game and the only other customer was someone sitting at the bar having a drink. I ordered hummus to start and a burger with cole slaw. Must have not heard me order that hummus because it never came. Shrug. As long as they didn’t charge me for something they didn’t provide… they didn’t. The burger was bland and unseasoned. I took one bite of the coleslaw and something was off. Really off. I tried again and smelled the dish. It was definitely off. I called over the waiter who agreed it was bad. I waited for him to offer something in return but he didn’t, so I asked if they could substitute something else(this isn’t rocket science, folks). French fries were delivered in a few minutes. Fresh and hot. Finally they got something right. Waiter assured me that they threw out the entire tray of coleslaw. Oh whew, good to know. They should have comped the entire meal in my opinion, but I didn’t die from food poisoning and it was on an expense account so I let it go.

This is the dinning room of the Emory Conference Center Hotel, I was attending a conference at the CDC and this hotel is a few blocks away. After my second day of training I was tired and did not want to go out to dinner. So I tried the Club Room. I was a nice day so I sat in the courtyard at a table. I asked my server what she would recommend and she recommended the Shrimps with grits and salsa. The service here was slow but not as bad as some other area eateries The Shrimps and grits was excellent, the service was pleasant. The Hotel also has an area for Breakfast. There are two choices the $ 11 buffet consist of a continental breakfast or the $ 16 American breakfast buffet with hot choices and an omelet station. There was no other eatery close enough to have an early breakfast so I really did not have a choice. The omelets are the best choice, you pick you ingredients and made to order in 5 minutes.

You likely won’t come here unless you’re staying at the Emory Conference Center Hotel, and you won’t be missing anything special. I’m grateful that the bar is here– after a long day of networking and training sessions, they have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages. My conference fee included all meals and snacks, so I haven’t had any of the food, but the buffet in the dining room is bad enough that if I were here more than three days, I’d probably eat here anyway. Draft beers are well priced– between $ 5.50−7.00, and wine by the glass was between $ 7.00-$ 11.00. Considering the relative remoteness of the hotel, they could probably charge more. They have the corner on the market on alcoholic beverages. My one complaint is the service. The bartender is not very friendly, and it takes a LONG time to get your check. If you just want a glass of wine to take back to your room, expect to settle in at the bar for at least 10 minutes just to order + pay your check.

Visiting Emory college we were lucky to find this Hotel and restaurant. The hotel is awesome: Modern Art Deco with fabulous amenities. Service is fantastic and very personable. Rooms are large clean and well furnished. The club room which is in the hotel is awesome. We had the coca cola glazed chicken wings… the most friggin awesome wings I have ever had… sweet, savory and crispy yum. My son had the Salmon which was baked to perfection and I had the Ribs… which were the best I have ever had… The south knows how to raise and cook pig… my full rack of ribs were so good, so meaty, so flavorful and tender I nearly cried. The sad part is our waitress said the portions had scared so many patrons that they were going to cut into half… Heresy I say! If you are in Atlanta in the Druid hills area. check out this gem of a place!

(01/08/2012) You probably won’t ever end up here unless you’re staying at the Emory Inn or the Emory Conference Center Hotel because work sent you here and you need to meet with Emory University, their Hospital or CDC; so that’s a pretty narrow group. I just stepped off the plane and had enough time to check-in and grab a seat at the bar for the last 4 minutes of regulation time for the wild card game at Denver… and then overtime happened. Food is decent, there’s about 4 beers on tap(some winter seasonal varieties), and top shelf liquors; prices reasonable for a hotel, service very friendly(especially Garry and Andrew). You know you’re in Georgia when one of the wing offerings is Jalapeño-Coca Cola Glaze; sweet, sticky, not very spicy. They’re the boiled in sauce kind of wings, so the meat falls off the bone, but not any crispness to the skin. The Fattoush Salad was a very ordinary chopped romaine salad with a few shreds of red onion, 4 halved grape tomatoes, a sprinkling of feta, lightly dressed with a lemon-sumac dressing(herbal, tart), interesting bits of fresh mint. The Club Room at the Hotel is kind of stuck in the middle of nowhere, but it’s not a bad place if you’re not willing to venture out or just need a pick me up nearby.
