This is the worst eagle establishment I have ever been to. Horrible flat expensive drinks. It’s like a maze in there. ATM machine didn’t work. When my friends and I left, we walked by the pool table and there was a train of trashy guys in line waiting to pound another hot mess. Will never go there again!

Your a stand and model bar … Not a real leather bar. What happened to the authentic leather cruise bars?

We came on a Thursday evening. There weren’t many people in there, just some people at the bar. We had to enter from the back entrance, which was pitch black on the inside, which was a bit freaky for a minute. The drinks were also inexpensive. It’s a bit more of a leather bar or bear bar. Part of the décor includes a motorcycle. The bartender was friendly. It’s a non pretentious bar. Across the street, there is a krispy kreme if you need a donut after you get your drink on.

We had a blast last night. The bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are great. It is just our type of place. I wish we had this in tampa bay. Fun!

Fun, and dark spot. It’s the infamous Eagle! Great social events and theme nights. Parking is limited, so get there early on the weekends!

Great bar and friendly staff, one of the most welcoming bars in the city, no matter what you’re into.

We try to avoid this place if possible these days due to the bad drink prices, rude staff and owner, and terrible music on weekends.

Tiny parking lot. Dumpy inside with black coated walls. I also think it’s a bit odd there are so many reviews by women on here. I’m glad they enjoyed it. I didn’t. I spent five minutes here before I was overcome from cigarette smoke. If you are the least bit sensitive to cigarette smoke, or don’t want your clothing and closet to reek of cigarette smoke avoid this place. I had been here before and didn’t remember it being so smoky and intolerable. Maybe it was me or the fact that the place was shut up tight because of the cold January weather. Either way i left with a not very good impression of the Eagle or the Atlanta bar scene in general.

I went here with 3 other people and we had a great time. The ATL Eagle has a great patio and caters to everyone. You had your older folks, leather daddies, jocks, twinks, punks and the everyday Joe. I’d certainly come back.

Sometimes you just need to dance, and the Eagle is one of the best places in the city to do that. The Eagle is another benefit to living in 30308. This place is the antithesis of pretentious. Gay, straight, black, white, even female, everyone is welcome to have a good time at the Eagle. Their drinks are very reasonably priced. Music tends to be the gay housey type, tons of Lady Gaga remixes, but that’s to be expected. The first Friday of every month is black — I mean, «Onyx» night. They usually have an awesome dj that night that spins some really funky house music. I don’t make it here often, but it’s usually a fun time whenever I go.

I had such a great time here. The drinks are cheap and good, and the music was poppin’! Plus the Daddies and Bears were cute.

Leather city — where the leather guys go – usually have great music, sort of dark in this bar that has been around a long time — i like the sort of seedy atmosphere — always fun here

File this under: What the heck am I doing here? Ok I gotta admit for the first minute or two I was kinda scurred… I was accompanied by Unilocal Atlanta’s resident celebrity(wearing a button down and tie) and myself in a nice little dress. only to be met with half nekkid men wearing assless chaps and harnesses… yep I was a bit intimidated! Leather, and daddies, and bears, OHMY! But after getting the grand tour, and speaking with a few people I felt way more comfortable, although I can’t say that some of the men weren’t probably glad to see me! I saw about 4 other women here probably. What I did not expect: a large dance floor… pumping Katie Perry’s California girls. and Kesha. next to a cage… hmmmm… A store in the lower half of the club… with ALL sorts of stuff I have never seen in my life.(use your imagination here) Going there on a fetish night without warning… Yea I’m usually a «blakes girl», so be warned. you will NOT have men commenting on how fabulous you look. random vouge-like dance offs… nor how great your hair smells! …but at least now I know where to pick up a nightstick and a whip… if need be ;)

At our post-Summerfest dinner and drinks we were discussing where to go out. The one gay amongst us, who lives in podunk Alabama and doesn’t get to hang much, mentioned that he wanted to go somewhere that he could dance and take his shirt off. After looking at the options and tossing out Virginia Highland, he decided on the Eagle, so us 2 ladies, 2 straight guys, and a hot gay man cabbed it over to the Eagle. First impression– dark as hell in there. I could barely see and it took awhile for my eyes to get used to the darkness. My friend and I were the only 2 ladies in the place which was interesting. The tunes were great so I spent awhile busting a move on the dance floor. My favorite thing is the lights on the dance floor. I don’t go to clubs much so I have no idea if this is standard, but the green squiggly lights tripped my unsober self out. I loved it and the dude who came up and told me I was a great dancer. I relish that memory and will never forget it. Best thing to come out of this trip was that my Alabama friend met his match for the night. Yay bar!

My personal favorite watering hole. Highlights: Friendly staff, great music, and a completely NON-pretentious atmosphere. At the Eagle, «come as you are — whoever you are — because no one here is going to judge you»!

For some reason most people seemed surprised to hear that I had never been to the Eagle. Sure, it’s a gay bar, but I never found an occasion to visit until our UYE after the police raided them at the beginning of September. I’m always up for a good time and the leather scene doesn’t scare me, so I’m sure I would have made it there eventually(although I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer). Even though we had a relatively small group you would have thought we were the only ones there because everyone was amazingly nice and attentive. Chris L. was kind enough to give me the«grand tour» and I’ll be glad to testify that I was unable to find the secret rooms that the APD described in some of their undercover reports, but I digress… We ended up going on a night that they were having a special event to benefit the legal fund that has been established to defend the 8 employees that were arrested. I heard we helped raise over $ 300(I doubt we can take full credit, although Leah F. and I really worked the dance floor). A good time was had by all and we even made some new friends. Carrie Neal W. and I told one of the fundraiser planners we were from Unilocal she said that she recently started using the Unilocal iPhone app. That was just too cool for school. :)

So, this is Saliena and I was the one who put on the event at the Eagle Froday night for the Southern Bash. And, just so you all know we raised a total of 360.00 for the Atlanta Eagle Fund! I know it can sometimes be scary to go out to the fridge… but, when you do you can realize that people are truly just people. Saliena

Fun times, friendly folks! I am a new fan of The Eagle. In the course of one evening I: played pinball, got locked in a cage, tore up the dance floor, and learned secret meanings for colors. Oh, and contributed to a legal fund for those wrongly arrested in the raid. And gulped down some yummy jello shots. All in all, a fabulous night out.

I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t exactly looking forward to a trip to the Eagle. Not because I don’t like the gays(quite the opposite, actually) but because I wasn’t sure they’d like *us.* The only things I had heard about this place was that it was a spot for leather-wearers and bears to come together, and I wasn’t a big fan of our mostly-straight and cotton wearing crew busting in on their fun. I thought it might kind of be a weird invasion of their privacy and comfort zone, or something. Well, I stand very, very corrected, as I don’t think I’ve ever been welcomed to a spot with such open arms, quite literally. I was a little nervous as I came up the back steps while two guys gave me a quizzical look and just about shut the door in my face. But once I found my group, I was introduced to just about every employee in the place and I must say they were the friendliest, most inviting crew I’ve come across in a long time. Jello shots were passed around, giant and cheap gin and tonics were slugged down, and we laughed. A lot. The majority of other patrons were equally friendly, not at all minding our loud presence and inane questions. I’ll warn you now, this place is DARK to the point where it’s a good bit disorienting at first, but hey, at least you don’t need to worry about touching up your makeup.

Eagle-Virgin No More! Had such a good time last night — the Eagle definitely landed! David K. and I mosied on over a little earlier than planned, and were later joined by the fabulous duo, Empress Kathleen and Jason R. By the time everyone arrived, David and I had met some regulars — also there out in support of The Eagle, post-raid — and made friends with the nice bartender. Cool spot, interesting people, totally fun and different for me on a Friday night. .. and there were jello shots! What’s not to love? Long Live The Eagle.
