Terrible. Came last night for a meal with two friends and did not enjoy anything. Coming from working at a Buckhead restaurant I expect some level of service to make up for the food but didn’t even get that. Our server left my water cup empty for 15 minutes before he finally realized that it should be refilled even though he had came to the table two-three times with my glass empty on the corner of the table for him to see. He seemed more worried about the game he was watching than serving us. Tacos were COLD! Who eats cold tacos? I didn’t even touch the second one as i don’t like rubbery cold chewy steak. A $ 3 advertised draft modelo was charged to me on my bill as $ 4.50 and it wasn’t the 16oz size as described on the Tuesday specials menu. Food was not up to standard, the burger one of my friends ordered was cold and had nothing special about it. I will say that most of the time the waiters can give such great service that you will return regardless of a bad food experience, but I’m sorry to say this was not one of those times. He wasn’t even rude just so cold and not in the right industry. I don’t really care to come back in a hurry again, and it’s a shame as this location is less than 5 miles from where I live and usually I enjoy taco Mac! Reading the last few reviews, I completely agree with those as well. Service is just not there, and food was just really a disappointment.

Poor service, poor wings(KFC had better wings) and poor overall experience. Based on way in the past experience was looking forward to eating here but was very disappointed. Wings with hot buffalo and habernero sauce were mild at best and the wings were not properly cooked. Will not return.

The only reason for the 2 stars is because the wings were delicious, per usual. A friend and I came in on a night where the Panthers were playing so we anticipated a wait. We were seated in a timely manner, then it went downhill. My boyfriend strictly does not eat pork and this was told to the server upon ordering a flatbread as an app. However, he was more into the game than his customers. The flatbread came out with bacon, so we had to send it back. We did not receive an apology or any other empathetic response. He simply grabbed the plate and walked away. When our meals were delivered, he received his tacos and salad, but I only received my wings. The server said that the wedge salad and corrected flatbread would be out shortly. I understand that a re-order takes time as I have worked in restaurants myself. 20 minutes later, still no flatbread and no salad. So now the app is more like dessert and a wedge salad is literally just a chunk of lettuce and a couple toppings. At this point, our food still had not arrived and the server was MIA even when he clearly only had a few tables. When we finally flagged him down, I asked for a manager who gave me the«we ran out because we were busy at lunch» excuse. That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Either the manager does not communicate with the kitchen staff or vis-versa. Regardless, if you are out of lettuce during lunch and it is now 8pm, go to the store! Maybe my standards are just high because I have worked in high volume restaurants before. I would never allow such a cheap, highly ordered item to run out for hours and then use that as an excuse to a paying customer. Overall, poor management, which seems to be a common theme with most of these reviews, and distracted servers.

An awful lunch experience today. It took 15 minutes to get drinks, then took another 20 minutes to get the wrong appetizer that I had ordered. After waiting another 10 minutes, the correct appetizer was brought out with an apology from the manager. Unfortunately it did not get better. The salad I had ordered for my entrée came 15 seconds after the appetizer came. This was the last we saw of our waiter for 25 minutes. No drinks refills or anything. I stopped a gentleman to ask for the check and it ended up being the general manager. Another apology but said they were struggling today but he hoped we came back. I think not. An hour and a half terrible experience and expensive lunch.

I go to Taco Mac in Johns Creek regularly and that is a fantastic location. This atlanta location has the worst staff overall. Half the employees are on their phones and it’s apparent they don’t want to be here. The hostess was the worst, she didn’t even greet us and we could tell she hated her job. Thankfully our waitress was one of the better ones, but overall the service will suck if you come to this atlanta location.

There are too many other better choices. Our server was Angel. Our experience was pretty much terrible. Ive been a regular diner at TMAC for years. I tried to alert Management but zero response. So here goes: We were a table of 9 seated early at aprox 530p on Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, maybe 1⁄3 full at the most. Five of us were kids 7 and under. Angel took our order and delivered our drinks promptly. The kid’s food came out at a normal pace, approx 15 minutes or so. The adult food took nearly an hour. As the kids were finished eating I flagged Angel down and asked about the rest of the food and was informed that our dinner was delayed because I ordered my roasted wings«well done». No apology. No «I’ll check into it» just a «This is your fault because you ordered poorly». For the record I order my wings, at this location, well done regularly and its never ever been an issue. Angel dropped the ball and blamed us. Finally nearly 20 minutes after the kids were all totally done our food arrived. My friend’s grilled chicken tenders were delivered as fried but we didn’t get an apology, a corrected order or anything. We let the food runner know and he just walked away. Our«well done» wings were soggy as can be so clearly this wasn’t the cause of the delay. Our waters were empty and had been for about 30 minutes. They would remain this way for the remainder of the meal. Angel was no where to be found. Angel finally came back and I requested the check before we couldn’t find him again. We weren’t finished at this point but Angel took our wet hand wipes off the table AND my beer that still had some left in it! He walked away before I could stop him. I sure would have liked to have finished that. Anyway we spent about $ 100 bucks at the table before tip for a meal we didn’t eat because our food arrived so long AFTER our kids finished eating that we had to parent them instead of eating our meals. And when Angel dropped the checks, with all this food left on the table, no to go boxes were offered and Angel was again MIA. So we just left our rubbery soggy wings on the table. The kids patience were shot. Last but not least my wife had to take my daughter to the bathroom and it was apparently too dirty to use. Ewww. Really disappointed in what TMAC has become. Looking forward to World of Beer opening next door or Brass Tap Beer Bar around the corner. If you must have wings try Wild Wings or Wing Factory. You’ll come out ahead.

Service was fantastic! Very attentive and on point. But the food is a different story. We ordered queso, that was cold. My bacon cheddar ranch burger didn’t come with bacon, and was undercooked. My wife’s fajitas were not seasoned at all. And our glassware had dried food stuck on it. I think it’s time they get a new cook in the kitchen and someone to properly wash dishes.

Danielle, while I appreciate you reaching out, unfortunately, this is not one isolated bad experience. I moved into the area in April of ’15 and have been to this location 31 times. That’s 31 chances to make it right. You & I communicated about this very same topic back in July of 2015 and I also spoke with the kitchen manager(Steve) and the GM(Thomas). I feel like I’ve been more than fair & given Taco Mac more than enough opportunities to make a positive impression. Best of luck.

Disappointed! I frequent this location and normally all the food is good but this sandwich is is no way what they described on the menu. I ordered the South Street Philly. I am from Philly living in Atlanta and in no way is this any representation of a cheese steak from my city. The description says grilled steak. Stop right there. This is on the level of steak Ums in the red box from. the grocery store. This is not steak. Also there are far more bell peppers and onions on this tiny sandwich than meat. For darn near $ 12 because I asked for Shrooms too this is not worth it. Please remove this from the menu or rename it because this is and joke.

I’m a huge fan of the Taco Mac franchise and frequent many different locations in the Atlanta area. I am about equal distant between this location and the Prado location and specifically choose Perimeter. The service here is unmatched. I’ve had multiple experiences with different servers and bar tenders and they always go above and beyond the usual call of duty often times during busy sporting events when the place is packed. And of course the wings and queso are still the best!

Beer selection pretty good for area. Service painfully slow. I could copy and paste others with negative reviews. Taco Mac from days gone by is not the same today. Bar staff more interested in cleaning and talking among themselves rather than serving customers. I just came in for a few beers and late night dinner. An extra 30+ min. to my night due to their slow service. Tipped appropriately. Hesitant to return and I live close by. — Update — Danielle appears to be pretty busy replying to negative reviews. I contacted her as requested the day after my review. No response. Have a feeling that’s probably what others have experienced. Looks good on Taco Mac’s part to show some interest in what’s going on, but honestly could care less and providing no follow-up. Date: 12÷28÷15 and not a peep from Danielle.

We live right around the corner from this Taco Mac and use to go a lot to watch games, drink beers, etc. The past 3 times the service has been so awful, you can barely even get a beer which is shocking to me since I am sure they make most of their money on alcohol. The managers just stand around laughing amongst themselves and give no concern to what is happening around them. Very disappointed but I think my days at this Taco Mac are over.

While I am beyond appalled at the service my table of 6 received during the Falcons game Thursday night, the food is still decent and the place is clean so I’m giving 2 stars even though my service was for sure 1 star. While we waited on the rest of our party the waiter said he’d bring a round of waters. He never did. Once we had order food and drinks(including for a 5 year old) we asked again for waters. After some time all we had was alcoholic beverages. No juice for the child and still no water so I finally got up to find a manager after asking for water 3 times and juice twice. A very nice young lady helped me with the water and juice and said she’d send a manager over. He did come by but didn’t seem to care too much and never once checked on us again. If he had I would have told him our waiter still has a bad attitude. Almost every time we ordered more food or drinks he sighed as he got out his pen as if we were a burden. At one point he asked my friend about her meal and she explained the half hot wings were her boyfriends and the lemon pepper were hers(she has stomach issues) and it was unfortunate the sweet potato fries were swimming in the hot sauce cause she couldn’t eat them now. His only reply«well I’m not the one who put them in there.» The service we received was downright disgusting. He should be fired and the manager should have stopped by again to check on us. We were there 3 hours after all since it was a football game.

I think the current rating is exactly accurate. Let’s review it in a couple categories. Ambiance: This is a sports bar, by every definition. You can’t be inside the restaurant without being able to see the game you are there for. I don’t know the exact count of TV’s, but let’s just say this– I personally watched 3 separate college football games in addition to the college volleyball finals and the men’s international rugby championship, haha. Really 5 stars here. Food: This is still a bright spot for me. We hadn’t eaten all day, so I may be biased a bit. We started the meal with a chips and queso appetizer– which was surprisingly better than I expected. My fiancé got a shrimp and mango taco entrée(she didn’t share, so it was probably awesome) and I got a chicken Philly sandwich. Being in the south and a chain restaurant I thought it was good. 4 stars here. Service: I have been here several times, if I was judging based on this one time it would definitely be one star. This was my worst service experience here, I was here with friends and the server forgot something every time he left the table. I’m not going to harp on it because it was a good time(UGA won!) but don’t expect phenomenal service here. So 2 stars here. If I could be exact 3.66 stars, so we will round up. «Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the ‘Titanic’ who waved off the dessert cart.»

We came in here to catch the end of the Kentucky-Notre Dame game on Saturday night! We walked in and were greeted but not seated. For some reason the hostess said hi and carried on talking to a colleague. We sat our selves in an empty booth… Waiter quickly came over and took the drink orders. The food took a good 20 to 25 minutes to get to us. We have asked for mayonnaise on 3 different occasions, 3 different waiters. Our waiter finally brought some after our second round of drinks. The wings were dry and the fries were also dried. Over all the service here seemed to be slow and careless in regard to their customers. I will assume that maybe due to the crowd watching the game, the staff was busier than usual, but again, this is a sports bar, therefore they should probably be staffed for these type of occasions. Over all, I don’t think I’ll be frequent this place anytime soon.

This place was my favorite for a while and my collection of beer glasses is testimony to it. However of late this place was getting OK on the food front. The reason to go back is their excellent selection of beer but with two people in my group(wife and daughter) who do not care much for beer makes going back a bit difficult.

This is probably one of the worst Taco Macs in the Atlanta metro. The food is alright, and the beer selection is great of course, but the service is terrible. The people that work here are either friendly and being poorly managed or rude. The front desk is usually where you’ll experience the most rude service. Hosts and hostesses are generally short with people, and it’s always a crowded mess. They just don’t know how to handle the crowds properly. The waiters are often sabotaged by management. Perfect example was last night when we were sitting in the bar area at a hi-top. After our meals were dropped, the manager rereouted all of the waiters working the bar to serve a large party on the patio. As a result, us and other patrons were left looking around for service like we were lost at sea. I had to get up and stand by the service bar to get my check, because our waiter had not visited our table in 15 minutes. We will still most likely go here occasionally but experiences like this will make them few and far between. Like most restaurants with bad service, it’s best to sit at the bar. Also, I’d avoid this Taco Mac on peak«kid» times like Saturday or Sunday lunch after Little League. Becomes overrun with families and children. Unless you’re into that sort of thing.

this«taco mac» location confuses me. especially when it comes to both their food and service. I used to frequent this location like 2 – 3 times a week and that was when food and service was consistently great. nowadays, I just visit every so often when I am in the area. but when I do visit, service and food are always different each time. there are times when the wings are itty bitty and anorexic looking and just plain pathetic in size. then there’s times that the wings were barely tossed in sauce. or perhaps you’ll get lucky and get both combinations, meh. THEN, there’s times when food isn’t the issue, but the service be slacking. the staff would be inattentive upon your seating, take forever to come back, bad at refilling drinks, or just coming by to check on your table. but these negative experiences tend to happen 50% of the time. it’s quite a gamble on this location. so this location isn’t one I’d highly recommend since there’s other(better) locations of taco macs in atlanta.

The last time I’ve visited a Taco Mac was in Villa Rica many many moons ago. The first time I went you could still smoke inside, and it had that hole in the wall kinda vibe and they were checking IDs at the door. The next time I went(after a few years, it was morphed into some family friendly restaurant/bar with kids inside. Well fast-forward to present day and there I was at the Taco Mac at Perimeter. From the moment we sat down… they started out well… We were immediately greeted by our server, he got our drink orders and even suggested some mixed drinks for my friend. After ordering food we sat around and talked… It took a bit of time to get our food, but everything came out eventually… Then it pretty much went down hill from there. I ordered their«house made» blackbean veggie burger and it was gosh darn awful. The edges were a bit crispy but the middle was mushy as hell and it tasted like death on a bun. The fries were okay, until I noticed I had cold fries mixed in with hot fries. I threw in the white flag… I couldn’t finish that meal. And my poor friend’s burger was burnt, but she was so hungry she ate it anyway… Then to add on to the bad food, our server had disappeared completely. I mean he was gone so long we all forgot what he looked like. It was weird how his entire demeanor changed throughout our meal. He went from being attentive to nonexisitent. It was odd. They weren’t even that busy and he just stopped coming to our table to check on us. Oh well, Taco Mac gets a meh from me… But I won’t write it off completely… Perhaps it’ll be better to order apps than trying to get a meal. But that veggie burger should be crossed off the menu FOREVAH!!! And perhaps our server will not be a stranger next time… Here’s to maybe I’ll be back…
