I visited Taboo2 for the first time because I wanted to try the $ 10 seafood buffet. Worth the drive and worth every penny. Servers did a good job on crab refills and bartenders were attentive. I wish Taboo2 had a more upscale feel to it instead of trying too hard. And yes the only parking option there is valet and they charge $ 10. In order for a place like that to go that far it would have to be really amazing. Other than that a great atmosphere and a decent mix of music for the young and old.

Back in 07 when I moved to the A I heard this was the spot… A lot has changed since 07 and this place needs an update. This is the Sandy Springs equivalent of Grown Folks on the south side… Smh. Great if you’re divorced, on the prowl and over 40. Or 20 something, SBF in search of a Cat daddy Good music, bad dancing and decent drinks. Available parking with a Bank of America ATM so you can show up broke and walk in stunting on em.

Food is good, they font serve anymore lobster. comedy show is good as well. Purchase a table or be prepared to share the table with other people. Valet parking for ladies is free. Place turns into a club after the comedy show.

We went there after my best friends birthday it was a cover charge of 20 the valet was a nice touch the place was pretty big the dj played a nice mix of music there was a guy taking pics was which was good the table service was garbage it took a long time after we made the order we thought she forgot about us that’s how long it took and then she was confused about wat table the drinks belong to and she brought us the wrong drink and we had to go back to the bar and get the right one that’s why I gave 3 stars

I went for the $ 10 seafood buffet. I’ve never had crab legs til now. OMG! It’s so good! The bar had salads, fresh fruit(watermelon, oranges & strawberries), mac and cheese with shrimp, fresh chocolate chip cookies, brownies & of course endless crab! They stayed working on crab refills. A line continuously gathered at the crab line. Lol. At least it was fresh! The food options were good, the Dj was jamming with hits from the 90s &00s and for the most part the staff was cool. I would def come back with the whole ASHSAIDIT crew!

This was a terrible experience. The waitress was absolutely awful. She was no where to be found half the time. When she did appear she never had the items ordered. I had my food for ten minutes before she even came to the table. After asking for silverware she was seen walking around. My friend finally had to go the kitchen to get silverware, as our food was getting cold. When notifying the manager he was less than helpful! All he offered was a drink when I’m not really even a drinker! The food was good, however I would not recommend this place because of the service! Also they automatically added a gratuity which I had to debate with the manager to have removed. Save yourself the heartache!

Went to Taboo 2 twice, both time were horrible experiences. They over charged for drink and over charged for hookah. DJ kinda suck. Its like they are trying to make this like an upscale club since its in sandy springs but just failed at it

I love this place. The music is great(90’s to current), it’s small and intimate, and the food is good. This is a 25+ lounge. The food is Louisiana inspired. It use to be great, but they slightly dropped the ball over the years. They have a seafood buffet night with a dance party after. Love it! It’s less than $ 11. They have a comedy night with a dance party after. Love it even more. Two item minimum so keep $ 20 on you. It’s open seating which means that you can be sat next to strangers. It’s all love though. The comedians go from mediocre to great so be prepared for anything. Oh, and the waitresses include their tip in the bill. Be prepared. Also, if you can’t handle light smoke then you may not want to come here. You just may catch contact.

This place continues to strive to be a club. Just stop. The fact is that it attracts 90% of the oppressed. The energy reeks of oppression. The DJs, like all DJs in Atlanta, are out of touch with how to keep the crowd dancing. [If you want to know the secret why, message me. It’s not what you think.] It’s funny they charged $ 10 to park. I only hope they give half to valet because there’s no way in hell valet is getting a tip after that. Your establishment has to be amazing if you’re going to charge that for that location. It was also comical they charged $ 9.25 for two small bottles of water. For this place the struggle is real. We still had a decent time talking and laughing because that’s our nature, but the establishment needs help with its functionality. My suggestion is to create Taboo 3. Remove the dance floor completely and turn it into an upscale Hookah Lounge. That way you can keep out-of-touch DJs because people are there to socialize and so much for dancing. Problem solved.

Taboo was very nice when I «first» arrived. The atmosphere was great! At first. The servers were terrible. They tried to charge everyone double tabs, attitudes were not welcoming, and the servers made people feel that it was problem every time you tried to ask them for another drink. We are the customers and should be served with positivity. I recommend that people don’t go to this bar. There are other bars willing to serve you with a smile and welcoming service.

The music is old school finest. I enjoyed dancing and the drinks were ok. I didn’t order any food but overall I had a good time.

Yasssss! One time for the ratchets! Lol. I’m here on a Sunday night. .I paid a 15 cover. The music is good and the drinks are strong. But a fourth of my ladies rocking tennis… a fourth in sandals and the other half in heels. …now don’t judge, they may have weak ankles or flat feet. But it’s cool overall. Drinks are the standard 10 and no seating unless on stages but the seats are all reserved.

I have really tried with those place and I’m now officially done. Chick calls me to say you have won a free customer appreciation party. This is a gimmick they use to make you think you have a prize, ask it includes is free admission on a Saturday night. No reserved seating, nothing else. I used to go here about 2 or 3 years ago and trust me… it is now trying to be the typical Atlanta«ultra club» we get in, are told there are no more seats, so we will have to stand and if you find a seat, that when the comedy show is over you will have to get up, because they are reserved. I’m glad the comedy show was free, because that’s about what it’s worth… after each show the comedian will then go through the crowd pedalling their dvd… tacky much. So now show is over, we spot a table, we sit, waitress comes, we order a drink, my friend can’t decide what they want, and says just give me a water till you get back. Waitress replies, there is a two item minimum per person per table. GTFOH! so the only way you can sit anywhere is if you spend about $ 20… yea… ok… they bring food out, one person’s wings are literally refrigerator cold… the others half chicken… is not done! food gets sent back. Waitress reminds us about the ordering minimum, oh yea… I forgot to mention the cannibus aroma coming from the young man standing right by our table! It was probably coming from the lit cheeba that he was smoking right out in the middle of the club! Now I will say, they have redecorated and it looks.nice. But that’s about it. I gave the two stars for the deco. Saturday nights, ear bleed trap music, weed smoke, over priced everything and rude wanna be model waitstaff. The types of people, like myself, who read Unilocal… save your time and money! This place is just another decent club turned kiddie playground littered with sagging jeans, long weaved tight dressed table dancers and management who doesn’t seem to get it.

This was actually my third time going to Taboo, my first time was about 3 years ago when I first moved to Atlanta for a comedy show… Oddly I don’t remember the comedy show LOL! So this past weekend I went back to back on a Saturday and Sunday. Saturday! I was really irritated by the girl at the door. She was really rude to my party and didn’t know we were there to see the management a young lady sitting next to her heard that we were expected and rectified the situation quickly and we were let in. It was kind of dead maybe because we arrived late. But my drinks were nice and stiff and my waitress and bartender were pretty nice. Sunday came back and no problems at the Door! Yay!!! This night was on and poppin! People everywhere! They had a few rappers there so this is why they had Bottles popping everywhere. We sat by the bar in the back and I ordered a few wines, the only thing that kind of irritated me this night was that my bartender was kind of dry, the only time she smiled was when I put money in her tip bowl O_o. You could tell whom she knew personally because she was really chipper with them. Taboo is a Hot spot that I heard has been around for a few years. I’m not a club person but I’ll be back!

Ok what happened to Friday nights at Taboo2. Wasn’t as crowded and as the night went on it got worse. The buffet was still going and pretty decent at $ 5 without the crab legs, but the crowd kinda sux. I was super bored and it didn’t get better as the night went on. I will admit there were still some nice looking women in there but the place isn’t as hype as it was when I first went.

The DJ was amazing I heard everything!!! I stayed on the dance floor. I was under dressed(I was there for the comedy show) I didn’t have time to go to the hotel and change clothes but everyone was dressed to impress. The comedians where good the food was okay and the drinks where good. I would go back!

Only three words: «F*** this place!» Have you ever been somewhere and the whole time you’re thinking«Why the hell am I here?» Taboo 2 is that place. Never really had a desire to come here, but my friend really wanted to check it out. Went there on a Sunday night around 11 pm and women are admitted free and supposedly drink free all night. Cost $ 20 for guys to get in. They have sections where you can sit down at tables, but you either have to get bottle service or 2 items per person must be ordered. We opted for the 2 item minimum table. The service is pretty crappy, but I didn’t have high expectations because this place is hood. I hate to say that, but that is the nicest word to describe it without using the word garbage. This place plays really good hip-hop, I will give it that. Unfortunately a place that only plays hip-hop brings an undesirable crowd to be around. You know what I’m talking about and if you don’t then you are part of that undesirable crowd. We stayed there till about 1:30 because that’s all I could take. Once we left there was a huge line to get in! I cannot believe there are people willing to pay $ 20 and stand in line to get in this place! Just stay away! Do not waste your time or money. Metro Atlanta has too many quality places that don’t charge cover to consider going here! You’ve been warned!
