If you want to be cut up right make sure you ask for PayPa. He does excellent work and from what I’ve observed over the past year or so is that he has a sizable clientele. He is in demand and always has someone in his chair. He most definitely will make sure you leave his chair satisfied.

Go to Mike trust me he’s the only guy that can cut hair. I’ve been to many places in Atlanta and I’m super particular. After moving I didn’t think I’d be able to find someone that was up to my standards but my boy Mike gets it right 100% of the time.

I just moved here from Florida and have been shopping around for a good barbershop. I was going to one in SW Atlanta and although my barber was good the criminal activity taking place was a little too much to handle. I’ve seen Superstar Barbershop in the Northlake Mall a few times so I decided to stop in. The place has a nice layout, but the haircut was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I walked into the establishment and one of the free barbers walks me to his station. This was the FIRST sign that something bad was about to happen, because the majority of the barbers were stationed in the front of the shop, but his station was WAY in the back. If you know black barbershops, you know that the barber in the back is either an old man, brand new to the shop or just plain bad, but since this is a barbershop in Atlanta, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I told him what I wanted(low, and even with facial hair trimming), but when he was done I looked like an extra from an early episode of Martin. He didn’t touch the top of my hair at all(and I hadn’t had a haircut in 3 weeks), I had almost a bald fade on the side, and a jagged edge in the front(jagged edge is not a new haircut style that is referencing the R&B singing group, it is a messed up, slanted, squiggly hair line) He then proceeds to tell me that I can take care of my facial hair at home. Ummmm… If I wanted to take care of it at home I wouldn’t have asked YOU to do it!!! So, I pretty much had to coach him through the necessary steps to salvage the haircut, and I told him I would only pay ½ the price of the haircut since it was so bad. When I go to the counter to pay the guy has the nerve to give me his card so that I can come back to him… Really? I TRULY do not understand how someone is giving out bad haircuts in ATLANTAGA!?! I thought this was the black barbershop capital of the world! If you go to this shop, I recommend someone refer you to a specific barber, because the dude I had was really bad. I wish I had his name so I could call him out here, but if you want to know who to avoid, send me a message and I will describe him for you
