Grabbed a quick sandwich to go because of the great reviews on Unilocal.Man in the back wasn’t very friendly and they put mayo on my sandwich even though I said no mayo. I happen to be allergic so it went straight into the trash. Such a disappointment(and a waste)! The décor is really cute though and I love that 25% goes to animal shelters. Too bad the good stops there.

This is a great place just off peachtree. The service is always friendly, and the food is consistent. They have one of the best pimento cheese sandwiches I’ve had, it comes with tomato and crispy bacon. They also offer gluten free bread, and I have taken many a celiac here for lunch. The soups and desserts are delicious too, and they often have at least one gluten free dessert. They have pre-packaged takeaway containers of certain items(like their soups!) that you can pick up in store, and they also do take-away. Parking is free, there is plenty of indoor seating for small and large groups, and even some outdoor seating.

Sophie’s uptown is such a wonderful treasure to discover in the middle of Buckhead. The menu covers everything you would want for Nice midday lunch stop — wonderful fresh sandwiches, quiches, soups, chopped salads, etc… and a display of cookies and brownies that are incredible. The atmosphere is friendly and fun with a cute dog theme(even in the ceiling lights!). Part of the profits go to help rescue dogs ;) Sophies seems to have its share of regulars and friends who gather for the afternoon to play cards as well as moms and their kids and businessmen and everyone else who’s been lucky enough to discover this spot! The staff is super friendly and the manager Sherri clearly cares about the details… From the fresh food and menu options to the clean, welcoming environment. Now I’m sorry it took me so long to discover it!

I love this little hidden gem! Customer service is awesome. The food is even better. I am a sucker for the hummus and tuna. And I can’t forget the lemon ricotta cookie! Those are to die for! I tried them once and have been back pretty much every day since.

I recently visited Sophie’s Uptown after seeing a delicious looking picture of a Cuban sandwich on their Facebook page. My husband is from Florida and has been looking for a good Cuban since we moved here. Well he found it! It isn’t exactly the same as he is used to but he said this one was better. I think it is because of the locally made Doux South pickles. My son, who is a picky eater, inhaled the Ruben sandwich! My favorite is the tomato basil soup. I dream about that soup!

We ordered a gluten-free chocolate sheet cake with chocolate icing for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. We had about 30 – 35 guests and still had leftovers. Every person there commented on how delicious the cake tasted and no one could believe it was gluten-free. I think their lettering/decoration on top was really weak, and they forgot to put the«2nd» in the Happy Birthday message. When you’re my age that’s kind of preferred sometimes, but not for this. For that reason I can’t give 5 stars. Cake-wise, I’d give them 10 if I had the option.

Went for lunch and ordered the daily sandwich special, hot pastrami and Swiss on ciabatta roll. I was surprised at how much food it was. I received an entire sandwich rather than a half portion which I expected. The sandwich was perfect! Also came with a side of cheddar broccoli pasta and it was also delicious. The inside is very clean and has cute dog decorations. I’m a huge dog rescue lover so this was a great place for me.

Great place. I ordered food to go and probably interacted with 4 people that worked there. Everyone was super nice. I ordered the Rachel Reuben. It was one of the best Turkey and coleslaw sandwiches I’ve ever had. And the bread was delicious. I also got a gluten free brownie which was pretty good as well. I was walking out(and would have forgotten to grab my chips which were included in my meal) and someone that worked there made sure to remind me. The food was made very fast. Everyone that worked there wished me a good day, which is always a good, friendly touch.

Delicious sandwiches paired with wonderful service! I’ve used Sophie’s for catering twice in this last week, and not only did I enjoy working with them, but I got multiple compliments on the catering from my event guests. FOOD: As a rule, I’m not much of a sandwich person; a good sandwich is just hard to find. I’ve found good sandwiches at Sophie’s. I really like the wheat bread they used for our sandwiches. It was lightly toasted and left plenty of room for the sandwich fillings to take the stage. The chicken salad sandwich is excellent, but I think the pimento cheese sandwich(bacon included!!) is my favorite. With a good variety of chips included and tasty salads on the side, it was an all around win for my event. STAFF: Such a beautiful friendly group, the staff at Sophie’s understands high quality customer service. Sherri kept in touch with me throughout the catering process, and she followed up with me when I had forgotten to give her certain information. The two times I was at the restaurant, everyone treated me with such warmth and respect, you could tell they really value their customers, not just their customers’ wallets. I had to call the restaurant afterward with a question about which sandwiches had mayo, and I had to leave a message, but I got another call back very soon after. BOTTOMLINE: Sophie’s takes care of you. Period. The fact that 25% of their profits support local animal shelters makes the place even more special. I highly recommend supporting this organization and chowing down on their tasty food!

I just heart this place. I hate that stupid expression but it’s exactly how I feel here. Dogs! Dogs! Sophie’s is a place for dog lovers. The«want ads» on the back wall are hilarious: Dogs Looking For Good People. Maybe I’ll bring Luke to find a girlfriend whose new owner is date material for me. Oh — and pretty cool that a portion of proceeds go to animal(mostly dog) rescue. Cute, delicious, busy but still table-find-able at lunch. The tomato basil soup is awesome– and it’s perfectly rich so a cup is enough for me(maybe even half to take home) but at $ 3 v $ 4 for a bowl, you may want to go up a notch. All the prices are really reasonable(you can’t eat a sandwich at Panera for $ 7 unless it’s just tuna fish with lettuce and tomato, ick). Spying on others’ tables, everything looks good. I say«looks» because I am writing this from one of the cool high tops in the back. The(free) wi fi password is «tomatobasil» btw. Yummy in Buckhead.

So… I am within walking distance of this place and have been twice. Both times it was ok. I have had the chicken salad sandwich and a turkey sandwich. Visiting family had the quiche and they raved about it. The prices are really high for what you get. You can get a whole meal at Panera for the price of a sandwich here. They also take FOREVER to get the food. Both times we came we waited at least 20 minutes to get our food to go and the one time we were literally the first customers in the door. Probably won’t come back as we get more bang for buck elsewhere but it’s worth trying if you are in the area and haven’t been.

Super cute lunch place. Good sandwiches and quiche is incredible. Kinda preppy but run clean. Im pretty sure they only hire preppy good looking tall white kids if thats any indicator to you. Crowd is a lot of old southern ppl. Kinda has a country club/exclusive only in the know of their select circles unless you happen to stumble in feel. Its a good lunch spot, LIKEIT! Chicken salad sandwich good Yogurt parfait amazing Turkey sandwich mom level good Quiche wonderful

Great sandwich place. The turkey sliders are the best thing on the menu. Pastries are ok too sweet for my taste. Daily specialty items keep the menu fresh.

Rachel Rachel Rachel — and the fruit tea. I am a regular here, at least once a week. Love the proceeds going to animal rescue. Great spot for a nice healthy lunch.

Seriously, what’s with the adorable? My wife gives birth to a daughter and I now frequent«adorable?» WTF? First, Café Jonah and now this? And all of this, a mere stone’s throw away from where, back in the 90s, fatherhood was the last thing on my mind. Buckhead boozing, consuming entire fishbowls of red, Everclear-laden death, has given way to dainty sandwiches and charity tokens. Ninety’s me is aghast. 2010’s me is all, «Chill out, 90s Me, you’ll do enough liver damage over the next decade that you’ll need the time off. It’ll be all right. Also, invest in Apple.» Despite the industrial-looking exterior, the interior manages to be functional, spacious, sigh, yes, adorable. It’s obvious that dogs are where the proprietors’ hearts lie. Dog pics and dog art abounds. I don’t even LIKE animals and I was charmed. There were quiches and casseroles and several sandwiches. They have numerous gluten free lunch and desert options for the wife, so Sophie’s gets the obligatory gluten-free bump. The Rachel(the sandwich, not the haircut, 90s Me) looked tempting, but I went with the BLT. It was crispy in all the right places, the basil mayo adding just the right tang. And look! Cheerwine at the soda fountain! Stupid adorableness. Speaking of adorableness, yes, that extended to the service. Our countergirl was perky and agreeable and even floated me some extra banana pudding free of charge which is enough make my heart(and my gut) grow three sizes that day. Sure, they were on the verge of dumping it since it was on the edge of its lifecycle, but I didn’t know that and she didn’t have to give me extra. That’s thoughtful and sweet and… ARRG. You’re right, 90s Me, I’m getting soft. Where’s my crusty dive bars and standing in puddles of human waste while I wonder what happened to my car keys? What happened to talking to strange women at 4am who, wait, is that an adams apple? What happened to waking up in strange places and where’s my left shoe? But still, which of these backsplash tiles goes best in my kitchen? DAMNYOU, 2010ME.

What’s up with the lack of seasoning in Buckhead food!!! I have been trying my best to find more restaurants in my neighborhood that I really enjoy but its so tough in Buckhead. I bookmarked Sophies because it had good reviews and its walking distance so I said WTH. Let me try it today. The reviews raved about the dessert so I decided to grab lunch as well. I ordered the Bacon, Leek, and Goat Cheese Quiche. Sound delish, right??! I also got a piece of the three layer Strawberry Cake. yummm. I got it to go. The Quiche came with a side salad. I believe it was 7.95. The quiche was pretty good just lacking something. The crust was the best part not the filling. The strawberry cake was quite good though. It was moist and tasted really homemade. Altogether my lunch and dessert was 12 bucks. The service was excellent and the place is really cute. You can eat lunch there and I love how the restaurant was named after the owner dog. Its so cute with tons of dog pictures. Best of all 25% of the profits go to charity!

Get the Italian cream cake or apple dumplins! They are to die for! yum! It gets really busy during the lunch rush but after 2 is way more calm. It’s very clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They also have frozen casseroles in their freezer, the chicken enchilada is my favorite!

I decided to stop by here and try their cake after seeing them on 11alive news.(the free cupcake if you mentioned seeing them on that channel helped) I was a little thrown off by how plan the outside of their shop is and the sign being so simple, just an «S» on the sign. A bit confusing. I wasn’t sure if I was there or not(it’s across from the Wachovia/Well’s Fargo on Pharr Rd). Once I figured out I was in the right place I went in. The restaurant is cute! Open floorplan with plenty of natural light. It was clean. The thing I loved about their décor is the pictures of dogs! Sophie’s is named after a dog. They donate 25% of their profits to local animal rescue organizations! Some foods were well labeled with prices and names, their pastries were not though. There was an employee near the cakes who was very helpful. This made up for the missing signs. I was pleased to find out their cake slices are only $ 3(A great deal compared to my beloved Piece of Cake). I bought a piece of an Italian ‘something’ cake. Their employee told me it is their top seller and the best cake. It was good! I also go a vanilla pup-cake, cupcake with frosting shaped like a puppy. It was good as well. I will go back to try some items off their menu and more cake. I am anxious to try their Homemade Apple Dumplings and Chicken Salad Sandwich. This place is definitely worth trying! Especially for those of you who are a fan of another popular bakery, about a mile of this place!

This place was really hard to find. It’s tucked away off the road a little bit and only has an «S» above the place. There is a «Now Open» banner below the old quickie mart sign on the road which might help. They have cakes, pies, cupcakes, coffee, cookies, sandwiches, and salads. They are in the process of expanding their menu. The prices are good and 25% of their profits go to animal shelters which is was why I wanted to go there. I asked for a regular red velvet cupcake, and they said those were a little soft so they gave me a «pupcake» for no extra charge. Their pupcakes are regular cupcakes with frosting decorated like animals. Very cute. I was afraid it would be too much frosting, but underneath the giant dog’s head of icing was actually a marshmallow which was a nice surprise. My cupcake was a little small and on the dry side, but I look forward to going back and trying some more items.
