Sidebar is a cool bar to grab a drink, play some shuffleboard, ski ball, or watch a game. The establishment closes at 1AM on Saturday nights. At 1:01, all customers should expect Fred to tell them to leave because «hey, we closed. Get the f**k out.» We were literally by the door finishing our drink when he started to harp on us. Fred’s colleagues are great. They were friendly except for Fred.

**i had previously canceled this review after getting a email from owner saying he would look into the issue & get back with me, well almost a week later NO reply so it goes back up.
i wish i could give less than one star but thats not a option: (came for my friend birthday to get food after leaving escape game room and sat forever even though there weren’t very many customers, both servers who switched off helping us were curt and not personable. we informed our server that it was our friends birthday and they could have cared less. She isn’t a drinker so we asked for a mocktail and was told they don’t make those,? what? you can’t put some cherries and some syrup to make a coke nicer? they wouldn’t even make a shirly temple,. claimed they were out of cherries but i think it was the effort to get them that was lacking. they charged us almost $ 6 more on 2 of our bills for sides that were supposed to be included and refused to comp or help us with the bill, paid almost $ 13 for crappy quesadilla with bland rice and beans and there was ONLY 2 options for vegetarians! cheese quesadilla or grilled cheese… um thanks … not even a veggie burger … HORRIBLE service and mediocre food AT BEST. avoid this place unless you want a cheap hole in the wall to get wasted in…

I came here with some classmates after finishing a final from a Law class. I believe I got fries and a beer. I liked our server, he had an Australian accent and was very helpful and friendly. I appreciate a bar being close to GSU.

Sidebar looked really cool i stopped by to pick up a lunch order. it’s pretty large bar alone wit dining area… tvs everywhere including inside of most booths… I ate the Cuburger during Atlanta burger week 2016 it was huge and quite tasty… Definitely a cool spot watch an ufc event they air them all… parking would be tough…

Nice little bar over by Georgia state. I found this place through scoutmob when I was looking for a quiet place to grab a bite and study between classes. This was NOT it. (That’s my fault. It’s called sideBAR. I don’t know why I thought it would be quiet.)
Despite it being the exact opposite of what I was expecting, I still had a good experience. I ordered the Super Cuban and loved it. Be careful though, it’s a huge portion enough to feed two hungry people. The bartender made me a delicious rum runner. With the scoutmob discount my bill came to a little over $ 10 but I would go back even without a discount. The bartenders were friendly, the food was delicious, and atmosphere was great and all for a good value.

So happy we found this place! We were greeted immediately by friendly staff. Drinks are a bargain– try the triple double! Food is good too! Yay!

I was looking around downtown for the perfect bar to start my birthday, and I found this bar. It was fantastic. It wasn’t crowded (at the time), and the price on drinks were great. They even had a really good special happening: 3 shots for the price of two. Not only that, but I dropped that it was my birthday, and they gave me a «birthday shot» on the house. Let’s just say the taste was quite a surprise! However the two bartenders were adorable, lovable, and great. Their names are Shaye and Kate, and they made my birthday so great! I will definitely going back next time I am in Atlanta! Thanks, guys!

Food was great; sandwiches are the way to go! Red Falcon has buffalo chicken strips and cheese in pressed Cuban bread. One thing, no pool tables. :/

A decent dive bar in the middle of downtown. Stick to bottled drinks. Don’t try to do anything too fancy on the menu; the simpler items are better. Decent, helpful, sometimes slow staff. Sometimes they open a little later than their posted hours. Great after a failed exam at GSU, a stressful meeting in one of the many office buildings nearby, or a trip to the Fulton County superior court– all conveniently jammed in a 0.2 mile radius of this place.
To put it simply, if you must stop at a bar on your way home from downtown Atlanta, and really think you can’t make it back to home base, this is a perfectly good spot to drink on your way home. If you feel like walking north about a quarter mile on Peachtree, there are several pubs that are not as dive’sh.

Totally shocked to see the manager curse at a patron. Yes the place was busy but why participate in an event that will overwhelm you and your staff. Shameful behavior from the Saturday day manager. Shameful young lady.

I thought I reviewed this place a while ago. Perhaps my review got deleted? I don’t know why it would have. I have visited Sidebar many times — only to see pay-​per-​view UFC fights. They provide this free of charge. Thanks! A number of bars charge for viewing. Food is hit or miss, mostly miss (burger, fries, tots, chicken tenders). But I really like the Quickie wings. Oh, man. So good! We would sit in the front bar area as my ex is a smoker and they allowed smoking there. I think this has changed? From what I recall, they moved to be a non-​smoking establishment. Fine by me! :-) I really liked that we were recognized as regulars even though we would only come one a month or so. Our waiter always knew what we wanted to drink — we didn’t even have to ask. And they had great options for me, a mostly non-​drinker. Blueberry lemonade and Kopperberg. Yum! Can’t find those options in every bar. A great downtown bar.

1. It’s kind of trashy. There was some games out in the back but nothing too exciting. Very few sitting areas but considering that the bar is so small, I guess they do have so big booths in the back.
2. I ordered a mojito and the bartender said they ran out of mint and she did not want to go in the back room to get it because she was too busy.
3. My credit card was charged more than what I signed for.
I don’t know. if you guys like to get ripped off in a shitty bar then this might be the place for you.
One good thing about this place is that the band was pretty awesome.

Went to place a to go order, was given a menu and ignored for 12 minutes until I finally walked out. And they weren’t serving other ppl, the 2 bartenders were just talking to each other, ignoring all handful of customers. The 2^nd star is because I are here once and it was decent.

I can see it being a problem on weekends, but mid-​week, this is a basic and really fun little bar. There’s a couple taps of decent beer, game tables in the back room, and Jenga for the drunken hipsters. At least then, we found things quite clean and quiet and had a great evening being drunk at each other.

Crappy drinks… Bartender told us to get the f*** out because we weren’t gator fans… Disgusting bathrooms. Do yourself a favor and try a different bar

This is a super bro bar, ladies need NOT come here! The men are disrespectful towards straight and gay women. The drinks are served in a small cup for $ 7 and they’re not that strong. I was visiting from NYC and to Unilocal bars near me and have this come up was a bunch of BS. Don’t waste your time.

Here’s the deal. Steel Tip Darts — Check! Pool — Check! Ski-​ball — Check! Beer Pong — Check! Oookkkk priced beer — Check!
If you want a great dinner go someplace else — you want a great bar give it a shot!

Wanna be dive bar. I forgot what young drunk college kids acted like until I came here. Cool atmosphere though, laid back, no smoking. Ping pong table overtaken with beer pong. Not much to say about this place. Let’s see they got huge flat screens to watch ufc fights and sports though. And open private tables with individual small screens and that’s about it.
I did it eat here, came to watch the UFC fight. Maybe next time I’ll eat.

Came in to watch the UFC fight. Lots of screens and they were all easy to see. Penny was my server and was very attentive and friendly. Plenty of games to play. Basically a cool place to grab a some food and drinks and enjoy yourself. Closes at 2 on Saturday night so it’s a lil late night spot too.

Staying at the Hyatt tonight, so we came down to Sidebar for a sandwich & a few beers.
I had the Sidebar Club w/​Tater Tots and it was tasty. Good location to watch sports, however they didn’t have the network that supports the Charlotte Hornets… boo! Let’s work on that management!
All in all good visit!
