Go where the staff go. When you see the grounds crew and airport staff all going to one place make sure you do to. Waiting for my ride and hungry I saw Shane’s and wanted to try something other than the norm. I was happy I did. I tried the Big Daddy with potato salad as recommended by Sonya(Really nice lady), this was great. It was missing a little something until I cracked open their BBQ sauce and here was the tangy zip I was looking for. Good taste and value and love that they sliced the red potatoes and left the skin on rather than the usual chunks. A subtle dill flavour but nice little accents of pickle.

Stopped in the food court for breakfast while in the Airport. I was super surprised to see they dumped Wendys for a Shanes Rib Shack. Ultra happy. Finally some diversity. I ordered some cheese grits and some home fries. Food was pretty decent and filling. The staff was super friendly as well. Now I have a Shanes near my commute back and forth home and I’m happy about it.

Love the country setting and the walls full of southern memorabilia. Nothing better than a genuine welcoming place of business. Not to mention the bbq was on point! Just what I needed for my first visit to Atlanta.

Wish I’d checked Unilocal before I bought this stuff. Pulled pork is dry and tough. I had no idea it was even possible to make pulled pork this bad. Slaw is super-creamy and the only seasoning I can detect is sugar. Beans are too sweet but at least not otherwise offensive. Not sure what options here are better, but I’d go to Burger King before this place.

I have two words for you. Fried Okra. I was in the airport and saw Shane’s and realized I haven’t eaten here in multiple years since they closed the location that was in Buckhead. I ordered a chop bbq sandwich(still violating the no-bread challenge) and an order of fried okra. The okra was the best part of the entire meal. The sandwich was tasty and the BBQ tasted like i remembered, but the okra was fried to perfection. They are one of the few places in the airport(pre-security) that is opened after 10 pm. At that time of night it is a slow service, but at least you know your food is going to be hot. I was charged 69 cents for a cup of ice. However, the guy must have thought I was an airport employee because I also received an 88 cents airport employee discount.

Love Shane’s rib shake… But you would think in one of the busiest airports in the U.S. they would have some sense of urgency. They are conveniently located right before the security check point so you would think they would want to feed you and get you going through security and to your plane. The food is just like all Shane’s, quick BBQ. But if your in a rush just skip them and choose one of the other fast food places next to them or around your gate.

I flew in from Los Angeles, and before I hopped into my rental car and heading to my ultimate destination, I decided to eat my dinner here. On my last trip, I ended up eating at Popeye’s but this time it was Shane’s Rib Shack. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu which was ribs. Ribs were cooked to perfection and I liked the sauce they used. Service was slow but the food was good so I ain’t complaining.

Food was ok… Service was slow… I wished I would have selected another restaurant.

I got the BBQ rib plate, chicken tenders and mac n cheese. The ribs were very juicy but also very fatty. The BBQ sauce is great though! The tenders were a waste of an order, they looked like an orange blob and not very appetizing. The mac n cheese was good though, but I almost always love mac n cheese. Service was great though, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Shoot! This was a pleasant surprise! The pulled pork sandwich was pretty dang good! The meat was juicy, and the sauce they provided with the sandwich went really well with it. It’s priced competitively with the other restaurants in the airport, so I couldn’t complain! The sandwich made me super full; it just took a while for them to make it. But I would rather have that than them give me a sandwich that’s been sitting there under some heat lamps. :)

admittedly I’m a bit of a barbecue snob since I came to live in Florida by way of the meat Mecca’s of St Louis and Kansas City MO. we used to have Shane’s in Orlando until about 2(?) years ago and I loved the pulled. pork sandwich. the coleslaw is on the sandwich yum! on our way to the gate to fly back home we were looking for something to eat so. we wouldn’t be hangry on the plane. not having it in a while we were excited. the menu was a bit different they did not have his burger so he got chicken which he. said Was“meh” My pulled. pork was true form however:-) Now for a nap on the plane

Mediocre airport food at the food court in the main terminal at ATL. It’s not actually objectionable, it just not worth what you’re paying for it or the calories you’re consuming. If you’re hungry, it is edible, filling, and barbecue-ish. This is, after all, airport cuisine.

I walked up to order 2 breakfast sandwiches. There was no line. Not even one person. All of the other places had pretty long lines so I figured I’d be the smart one and go here. I ordered 2 brisket breakfast sandwiches and from the time I paid till the time I actually had the food was 17 minutes. I checked the time stamp on the receipt. 17 minutes with no one else waiting??? Absolutely ridiculous. The actual sandwiches were terrible! Super dry and stomach turning. I think they took 17 minutes to microwave last week’s breakfast sandwiches. Avoid this place!

I just couldn’t resist some good Southern BBQ and decided to get a plate here. I opted for the BBQ chicken plate with 2 sides– I chose okra and mac n cheese. It also comes with a slice of Texas Toast. The damage was around $ 10 and probably north of 10 thousand calories. But was it worth it? Yes. The BBQ chicken was good, but not amazing. They were generous with the amount of BBQ sauce they put, and even gave me extra BBQ sauce on the side. The deep fried okra was delicious, yes, its pointless to eat your vegetables deep fried, but it was so good. The mac n cheese was good, there was a thick layer of cheese on top which I really enjoyed. I boarded the plane and passed out in a food coma. Yum.

Had pulled pork and eggs in the morning. Wanted dryer meat with eggs. It sort of turned my stomach. I ate a third and threw it out.
