Shane’s Rib Shack

Service here sucks. Standing in line and both cashiers walkeaway without acknowledging me or my co-​worker. This is not my first bad experience with this location. Your food is not that good! And it takes forever to get your food!!!

My family loves this BBQ. Recently moving to Atlanta, we didn’t know if this was a good place or not but it absolutely is. This is the only BBQ place we eat from and they always have such great deals throughout the week of you have a large family to feed. When my mother was in the hospital craving for ribs and macaroni and cheese, the manager Julious was so kind to send her a rib meal. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever. He didn’t have to do that but the staff here is so kind and the food is always hot and fresh! We visit this location at least twice a month.

I’ve heard a lot about Shane’s but I found it to be pretty good. My mom speaks highly of this place and, like always, she was right. I got the «Big Man» sandwich which is your standard pulled BBQ pork sandwich with a side of Mac & Cheese and a drink. The portions were perfect and left me very satisfied.

Shane’s has stepped their game up as far as content and flavor. I had the Half Smoked Chicken with Teriyaki Sauce and two sides okra and onion rings. The whiskey onion rings are a nice ping to the flavor. It brings out the onion. The Chicken was cooked well and seasoned very well. The only thing I was not liking were the long feathers on the wing tips. Cooks really should not serve chicken with feathers. I removed the wing tip and ate the chicken anyhow. To others it would have stopped them in their tracks. Nice portions for the amount of money I paid. I would definitely go back and try other items but so far the smoked chicken is my favorite.

The WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. This was the VERY FIRST time I had gone into Shane’s and I will never return to this one or any other location. I went in to get something to eat before work and sadly had to go into work hungry. I went in and another gentleman was already waiting for his order when I had arrived. The orders came out at the same time she handed him mine then asked if I had been helped. I said «yes» and she then asked my name and said my order was right there. She handed me the food I thought was mine and I walked out. When I got in my car I discovered that my order was wrong. I went back in and shortly after entering the gentleman whom received his food first came back in. His order was wrong as well. The cashier lady told one of the servers to simply «switch» them. What? Like we were suppose to just take the food that had gone on car rides with total strangers home and eat them. She remade them, but after I had seen the attitude behind there error I decided that I no longer wanted the food and asked for a refund. The cashier was totally rude about it. When I asked for a refund I stood there waiting for a confirmation that it had been done and she said «I don’t need you». I I then asked for a void receipt and she printed it off. As I walked away the gentleman with his corrected food went back to the counter… I assume his Unilocal review will be posted soon.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because of the iced tea. It’s good and strong, absolutely delish.
I am doing the low carb thing, and (nonbreaded) smoked wings are insanely good. They have an ususual flavor, quite yummy. I will order them again !

Absolutely best service and food in the area. The front end staff are always overly nice. The wings do not taste like the same old wings and the ribs are killer. But lady behind the counter has waited on me several times and she always treats you like you are a guess in her home. Nothing like southern hospitality. The best.

This place has set the bar high for chained restaurants. When we first got to the place the cashier was very patient with us when it came to ordering, because it was our first time visiting. They helped us make a great choice, I got the shack sampler which consists of ribs, chicken strips, pulled pork… which you can sub for pulled chicken. It also came with two sides… They offer 5 or more sides you can choose from. I chose the green beans and of course potato salad. My favorite!!! You can’t trust everyone’s potato salad and thiers was delicious. My boyfriend (Ricardo) got the shaniac burger. That burger was so damn big omg. They made it fresh to
came with a beef Patti, cold slaw, pulled pork, cheese, onions and tomato. It definitely gave my him the itis…
Moving forward, the customer service was the best I’ve had in a minute. The manger not only suggested items but he gave us a treat on the house, just so we can taste how good it was. Amazing!!!
I will return to this place.

I have been coming here for over two years and I continue to LOVE their food.

I’m always impressed with how fast this location can take orders and get them out to the customers on a busy weekday in the Perimeter area! I frequently have lunch here since it’s convenient to work and home, every time I go there the food is always hot and fresh. Typically, I get the grilled chicken fingers since I feel that they are healthiest thing on the menu.

We haven’t eaten at Shane’s Rib Shack in years and you know because there food is horrible. My husband ordered the Cowboy Burger with fries and I ordered the grilled chicken tender sandwich. My husband said the Cowboy burger was ridiculously salty and didn’t look nothing like it was advertised. My grilled chicken tender sandwich had a burnt smoky taste to it which wasn’t good at all. After taking a few bites of the sandwich my stomach started feeling bubbly with gas. My husband said his stomach started feeling the same way after eating his burger. I’m sitting here a couple hours after eating it my smoky won’t stop bubbling with tons of gas. If you like nasty, fake BBQ and gassy food I recommend Shane’s Rib Shack.

This restaurant is definitely a cut above the rest.
Shane’s Rib Shack at the Perimeter Center is by far the best bang-​for-​your-​buck that you can get.
There is nothing that this restaurant does «wrong». It is a solid place to eat.
1. Good food (Grilled chicken tenders tossed in the lemon pepper seasoning & smoked wings are the best around)
2. Great portion size — you will leave feeling like you got your money’s worth.
3. Consistency of food — The food tastes the same every time you go. You know what to expect and what you are getting when you order.
4. Friendly staff — This location in particular has an awesome staff. The workers are always respectful and friendly and you can see the pride in the managers for their love of the restaurant. It should be an example to other restaurants.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for quite a while and was surprised that more people didn’t eat here. The food again is awesome. The staff is great. Nothing to complain about.
Within the past year the restaurant went over renovations. (Staining of tables /​new furniture, new & bigger tvs) Then they had a big promotion… well now everyone is going there. It is packed at lunch time.
I recommend it to anyone. Also because of the 3 registers, you don’t get stuck waiting in like for 20 – 30 minutes like chipotle and end up losing half your lunch break: P

I discovered this place on my way to Your Pie, and decided to go back one night. I was definitely glad that I did! Food portions are excellent! Chicken was moist and delicious! Rib meat came off the bone nicely! And did I mention they have daily specials? Well, they do! The $ 6 weekday specials are awesome! The $ 10 weekend special is filling!
Would definitely recommend!

We actually came to the plaza to go to Your Pie, which is a bit of a stand by for us, but the ribs smelled so smokey-​sweet we were tempted to go in. They had a pretty good Saturday night special «Shane’s sampler» which was a half rack of ribs, tenders, and shredded bbq pork or chicken with Texas toast and choice of two sides for $ 10.
We got one sampler with chicken, sides of coleslaw and Mac and cheese, and one sampler with pork, sides of baked beans and fries. We weren’t really sure what to expect but enjoyed the atmosphere which had not-​too-​loud music and nice décor. The staff was friendly and laid back. They were also showing the football games which was nice. The samplers came and were huge! We couldn’t believe it for $ 10.
Ribs: awesome. Fall of the bone, melt in your mouth with just the right combo of spice, smoke and sweet.
Shredded bbq: great for the pork and chicken. Not as good as the ribs, but close second.
Tenders: cooked perfectly. I wish I could get my chicken like that at home.
Sides: Mac and cheese– creamy, cheesey, I added some pepper but otherwise it was really nice. Baked beans– were some of the best we’ve ever had. Sweet and soft without being mushy. Coleslaw– so/​so. It could use some creaminess and tang. Fries– also average. Not bad, but nothing very memorable. Texas toast was a nice accompaniment to mop up all that wonderful sauce.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. It is a bit indulgent, so not sure we’ll make it a weekly trip, but when you want good ribs without going to the city it’s an excellent choice. Way to go, Shane’s!

I live in apartments across the street from Shane’s and eat here at least twice a week. They have NEVER messed up my order and the workers are always fast and friendly. Never disappointed with my wings!

Wow! Great Southern BBQ! Make sure you try the sampler so you taste it all. The sauces are delicious and will definitely be coming back.

I am in Atlanta on a monthly basis and usually find myself wandering into Shanes because it is low key, fast and the food is pretty good. I almost always get the ribs but the chicken wings are good as well. For a business traveler looking for something low key in the dunwoody area it is a breath of fresh air. I love the fried okra that is always freshly cooked and like the different sauces on the table.

I discovered Shane’s Ribshack when I was on my way to the FedEx Office shop in peremeter during my first visit to Atlanta; I’ve been a fan ever since.
For a fast food bbq joint; you get amazing fall-​off the bone smoked chicken wings, smoked ½ chicken, slow smoked bbq baby back ribs, even a half pound of chicken breast meat (when I’m on a low carb, no sauce just plain good chicken breast white meat mode). The sides of mac n cheese; green beans, etc are also good. The ambiance is big room fast casual rib shack loft, nice.
Leave room for their best kept secret, the peach cobbler dessert… food porn and its best; umm umm umm!

Shane’s Rib Shack has affordable BBQ. It isn’t the most finger licking BBQ out there, but for a quick fix at a cheap price you can’t do much better.
The two things I have the most at Shane’s Rib Shack are the Big Dad Sandwich and the sampler. The Big Dad Sandwich pork can taste a bit dry sometimes, I would say the sampler which has ribs, tenders, and BBQ pork and chicken probably has a better value even though its more expensive. There’s just a variety of foods so you don’t get tired of the food halfway through. Overall its a good, quick alternative if you’re looking for something fast to eat.

OK so I’m sitting here eating my food enjoying some mommy and daughter time I ordered a half chicken backed beans and potato salad.
I get to my chicken I got to pull the leg off and notice that its hard so I bend it away from the breast and what do you know!!! Its RAW !!!
I asked the server if I could get and new piece wow she was rude like I was inconveniencing her .not sure if we will visit this location again!!! And to think I liked this location. Smh
