Great place a meal that doesn’t come in a paper bag. Their baked chicken & dressing is GOOD! Great veggies too. Sweet potato soufflé the best !

I visited today after church. Take out was crowded but the dine in line was quick and convenient. I had a veggie plate and peach cobbler. It all was good! The sweet tea was a little watered down but overall everything was great!
I forget about this place and today I wanted some real food. and that is what I got.

We got catering for Thanksgiving at work, and I was disappointed! They did not have the warmers to keep the food warm. I think someone dropped the box of desserts, it looked like they tumbled in the container. The mac & cheese was burned on top, but the cheese inside was not even melted. The turkey reminded me of when I was in grade school, also bland. The green beans did not look appetizing but tasted Absolutly delicious.

An Atlanta tradition for 75 years, I’m surprised there are no other reviews for this place as old this establishment is. I decided to grab something to go being in the area. I missed going to this place since I haven’t been there in at least 6 years. I was kinda worried I would be disappointed its been so long. The restaruant is still in the same place located in an old plaza which had seen better days. I ordered to go so I can’t comment on the inside of the cafeteria. The inside of the to-​go area was your typical cafeteria fanfare and such. You can get a meat, two sides, and bread for $ 6.75. The food looked so good and mouthwatering it took me a bit to decide on what to order. Yep, this is the old S&S I remember from my youth. I finally chose the baked chicken, mac & cheese, and collard greens. I decided to add the dressing and potatoe soufflé to split with my mom. My final veridict, of all the cafterias (the few I have been) this still is the best hands down. The mac & cheese was perfect and not heavy, the collards were flavorful, and the chicken was nice and juicy. Okay, okay, everything was really really good. I will definately be coming back again and adding in the dessert next time.
