I was excited to see this shop upon my arrival in Atlanta this year, since the popcorn place I used to go to at home in Boston shut down a few months ago. 250 flavors, so amazing! And so many available at one time(not 250, but still, lots and lots!). Unfortunately, the prices were not clearly visible, nor did they have a menu or listing of the available flavors for one to look at, without staring vacantly at the bins on the wall. I left, and came back another day. This time, I found the price list(a very dirty 8 ½×11 page taped to the counter top), and decided to go with their ‘buy 3 get 1 free’ deal. I asked to sample a few flavors. A couple were good, most were so-so. One was rancid. Actually RANCID. The salesman shrugged when I pointed it out, and put the bucket back on the shelf. You could smell that this bucked had gone bad, and he didn’t care. I suppose that is one problem with having 100 varieties of popcorn on the shelf… the turnover isn’t high enough on some of the less popular flavors, so things can go bad. I noticed there were no pull-dates on the bins, so the staff cannot even keep track of what needs to be rotated. Of the flavors I did get, the salt & vinegar was stale, the orangesicle was gummy and soft, and the dark chocolate pomegranate was so-so. My husband also go the snicker’s variety, which I haven’t tried yet. And it was quite expensive for what you did get. Poor customer service(mostly apathy), and questionable health standards for rotation of stock assures that I will not be visiting this place again.
