I generally rate pizza by its crust. And this crust was A-OK. It was nice and soft like I like it, but not too soft to the point where it was goopy and droopy. It had a firm bottom, and there was enough crust at the top to dip in marinara sauce if you so desired. Now for the toppings. Here’s where Pizza Construction fell short. All the toppings were cut up really small, so when you took a bite you weren’t really sure whether you were about to savor the taste of mushroom, broccoli, garlic, or onion. I mean, how difficult is it to have large pieces of veggies? I ordered the veggie pizza, sans olives(and added garlic). Someone else ordered a meat pizza with some jalepenos and onions. And my sister ordered a cheese with pinnapple. Surprisingly, the cheese and pinnapple won. probably because it would have taken too much effort to chop up canned pinnapple any smaller than they already come. The meat pizza was pretty decent, especially because the jalepenos were actually baked in rather than placed on top at the end. The veggie pizza would have been good had the veggies been identifiable. They should take a cue from mellow mushroom’s Vegg Out(?) pizza and put whole stalks of broccoli and roasted red pepper. All in all, solid crust, sad toppings.
