I was happily tasked with finding a spot for brunch for 11 people intown. Not an easy task. This spot popped up on Open Table. The food was less than average(my husband’s burger was stone cold) and my chicken was rubbery. Luckily, the drinks were good and strong otherwise I would have opened up a can. We waited more than an hour and a half for the food. Given, it was a busy Sunday with lots of families, skaters, park and festival-goers. But, if you’re going to accept a reservation for 11 for brunch, then be prepared to feed them. I won’t be going back. Even for a drink. Kudos, though, to the waitress who was pleasant, under the heat of the hungry and patient.

My husband and I met friends here last month. I have always wanted to try it, as an iconic place in the ATL. I was shocked to find the bathrooms were as disgusting as a dive bar. Our sake glasses were dusty and dirty, and the waitress seemed upset when we asked for a washed set. «We don’t see much sake, so they get dusty,» was here response to a place that has mostly sushi on the menu! I thought the food was delicious, but over priced. In the end, I would never recommend this place during any cold or rainy season. We might come back when the park is really the main attraction.

Love this place! Their menu had a wide selection. Tacos, sushi, American food, etc. They have a bar, ice skating rink, cabana, right next to piedmont park. Beautiful view of the skyline and park, great place for a date without murdering your wallet, and refreshing atmosphere. The building itself is beautiful. Be warned. you will have to pay $ 5 for parking, and street parking is a struggle.

Cool location for drinks in Piedmont Park! I love stopping by Park Tavern on weekends with friends and I especially love how welcoming they are of people with dogs. The best thing about this is place is the location and therefor I would only recommend coming here if you are looking to spend time in the park. The food here is below average and rather pricey for what you get. The drinks are average priced and decent.

Very professional and courteous staff. Great atmosphere. Definitely made our experience pleasurable. Can’t wait to work with them again. Also, the drinks and food were really good. It really made my trip from NYC worthwhile.

I am new to Atlanta however my family isn’t. Today was my first time at the Park Tavern and I loved it! I was with my family and our dogs-just had spent the afternoon playing at the dog park and teaching our nephew to ride a bike and my sister in law suggested we get a late lunch. The wait was a bit but it was a beautiful day. Your fur babies are welcome, you can wear your workout gear, fun music on, their food was pretty yummy and they have champs! And there’s an ice rink inside! If your looking for a casual spot to go to after a day at the park this place is perf!

What can I say about Park Tavern? I’m glad it’s a part of my Midtown neighborhood, nestled into the corner of Piedmont Park at 10th and Monroe. It’s a good spot for a group gathering or for socializing with friends on a beautiful Atlanta day. During the holidays, private parties abound, so be sure to check and see if they’re open to the general public. My favorite way to enjoy Park Tavern is to drop in for a couple of excellent Yellowtail cocktails after watching a cool indie flick at Landmark Midtown Art. It’s a fun place to kick back and soak in the scene.

Really nice patio area. Their in house daft beer was okay at best. Got the Tuna and wonton taco from the sushi side and was very pleased. Loved the patio area and even though I’m not a dog person I didn’t mind that they allowed dogs on the patio. I definatly would come back any time I’m in the area!

«When it rains, we pour» Best motto ever. When it is raining in Atlanta(like not just a driplet) when Park Tavern opens for the day, they have $ 1 drafts. As fiancée lives within walking distance to Park Tavern, we have come here numerous times on rainy days. We even came on a snow-day! They have great servers and dogs are welcome on the patio(big plus in my book). Their food is ok. I have not found anything that I say is absolutely amazing, but nothing terrible either… just typical pub-food. To be fair, I have not yet tried their sushi, so I cannot comment on that. But I do really like their specials and all the various types of alcohol/beer that they offer. Do note that they have private areas that they block off and require you to pay for, basically any table that is at the edge of the patio close to the park… doesn’t usually make a lot of difference, but just something to note.

I’ve always seemed to enjoy myself at Park Tavern. My gf or friends and I usually stop in for quick bit or some drinks. The location is a great feature being right on the Beltline. It’s a chill place to hang out and I love the fact that you can have a dog outside. Along with the putting green, winter ice-skating, and brewery, it’s a nice little quirky place — in a good way. I’ve had their sushi, nachos, wings, and sandwiches. They are good but nothing to call mom about, albeit slightly overpriced. I really wish their service would be consistent though. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it horrible. I’ve had awesome attentive service and waiters who told they don’t want to be there. Overall, it’s enjoyable and is a solid place to chill.

As I am always in Piedmont Park, I have been to this establishment quite a few times, and have always throughly enjoyed myself. On my first visit, my friend and I sat on the outside patio on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. He had the Chicken Sriracha tacos(which he loved &ALWAYS talks about), while I had a Salmon Caesar Kale Salad(very tasty & the perfect portion size). We both had Piedmont Pilsner on draft to accompany our meal, which was very refreshing. I also ordered a cocktail, which was called, The Goodafternoon. It was tasty, but the appeal was just average. On my second visit, it was after softball in Piedmont Park with a group of friends. As we were walking to the restaurant, as it is located in the park, it started pouring rain. Although we were completely drenched the staff still welcomed us with open arms, and told us «When it rains, we pour» aka $ 1 Select Draft Beers. As anyone would, we had numerous drafts, which lead to an amazing time, and finished with a barely there check. Can’t wait to go back & if it rains, even better!

So, nothing saddens me more than a great view and patio with subpar food. If you are going to serve food please label correctly. My 2 examples are: 1. Fresh cut fries. Are you cutting potatoes in the back? Correct me if I’m wrong but they look like frozen fries with the skins on. If 5Guys can make fresh cut fries so can park tavern. 2. My portion on the chicken kale caesar was not. $ 13 salad portion. Can you spare a little more kale? Also, please put the chicken on the side. Hot kale salads are not good eats in 95 degree weather. Also, if you’re advertising fresh shaved Parmesan there better be fresh shaved parm on my salad. Not that prepackaged sticks of some sort of parm on my salad. Oh and if you’re charging $ 13 for a salad if like my chicken how I ask for it not be told the kitchen can’t take special requests. When Gordon Ramsay owns park tavern then I’ll not ask for special requests. And your wait staff should not have to beg the kitchen not to cut up a piece of grilled chicken. If I wanted a dry farm raised cut up chicken breast I’ll order it that way but when I want the chicken kept whole so the juices stay in it.

Eight of us went to park tavern Wednesday night when it was half off wine and half off sushi. At first that sounds like a good deal, But a 35% forced on tip when the staff never checked on our table even once besides taking orders? I understand certain places charge tip on the prediscounted price. However, if service discounts, is it fair to charge full tip? I ate at park tavern 1.5 years ago, the service was horrible. Took forever for food to come out. Couldn’t even find the waitress when we wanted to get the check. Thought I would give park tavern another try after 1.5 years, perhaps the bad service from 1.5 years ago was just one off? Lesson learned here is never doubt your instinct. The service sucked so bad. The waiter was trying to get the most tip out of us. He recommended the most expensive wine on the menu, told us not to get the house wine which was the cheapest on the menu, because their house wine tastes bad. On three bottles of non house wine, his tip base was ~$ 30 more, times 18% of forced gratuity, makes himself $ 5 more in tips! On top of it, none of the staff ever came to check on our table even once. They brought out two jugs of water which fills up exactly 8 cups of water for 8 of us. Never filled up our water again. Park tavern didn’t even give us wine glasses for wine. Does the restaurant not think we deserve to enjoy wine in appropriate drinkware? In all, our table paid $ 30 in tips for horrible service, or should I say no service? I was so tempted to write an negative amount for additional tip, but did not want to be rude like park tavern. Park tavern is crossed off my list forever. It was such a rip off.

I’ve been a Park Tavern patron for years. I’ve thrown parties here. I’ve held alumni events here. I’ve met friends here for dinner & drinks. Generally speaking, Park Tavern is a cool place to plan an event. But, for whatever reason, I have never held Park Tavern in mind when looking for a regular dinner destination. Don’t get me wrong, there are times when I have been really impressed with Park Tavern. Doing the group thing with them has always been easy. They’ve been very accommodating. And it’s clear that lots of groups use this space for, er, group things – everything from weddings to fundraisers to alumni gatherings. They’re doing something right. But the food thing has never been enough to get me to think I need to go back(sans group). Maybe this is a disadvantage of only doing the group thing there. Maybe I do need to give them a chance to shine over regular dinner… In the meantime, I do recommend them for group functions.

I can’t say that Park Tavern has five stars in every area… the beer, though brewed in house, is average, and our waitress was pretty clear in hinting that we were welcome to walk inside the the bar to order drinks(no thanks!)…but I just can’t let those things demote this place to any less than 5 stars because of the awesome afternoon I had sitting on the shady patio, complete with fans and a fantastic view of Piedmont Park with the Atlanta skyline in the background. What began as a plan to stop in for a single drink turned into 4 drinks and dinner! I have to recommend the sushi — I didn’t expect them to have such an extensive sushi menu(I wasn’t even aware that they served sushi there), but we ordered a few rolls and they were great! The mojito was a bit sweet and the sugar was not all the way dissolved… meh…don’t worry, I still drank it. I would recommend calling ahead to reserve a table… I’m assuming that’s what all the people had done that had the tables on the edge of the patio with the best views, since those tables all had«reserved» signs. Park Tavern is a great place to spend an afternoon people watching in a beautiful setting. We were even treated to some entertainment by Baton Bob. I do hope to return on a future trip to Atlanta.

Terrible. Bought the groupon for the«private» cabana. First of all, I paid $ 30 for the groupon. We ordered«crab and lobster dip» and two sushi rolls and I still had to pay $ 15 on top of the $ 25 exclusion. Tell me how three items were $ 50. The private cabana was just a table in the back. For sure got ripped off on this! Don’t buy the deal!!! Made reservations for a date night, you would think they would make you aware that there was an event there so the outside would be loud an busy, but nope. Had no idea. We ordered the crab dip and lobster. There was NO Lobster and the crab was imitation. More gross then good. Also got the sushi. It was awful. Would never eat here again. Waste of time and money! If I could go back in time and have just one warning for my past self, I would strongly urge myself to not be so dumb and waste money on this place. Yall have some damn nerve to call a crap table in the back area a private cabana. There was nothing private or no cabana about it. That is just crap marketing and misrepresentation. Don’t buy the groupon! Don’t waste your money!

This updated review is for their Easter Sunday Brunch. Not a fan. You have to buy tickets ahead of time and with fees tickets ended up being $ 35.00. Ok. This did not come with any liquor. Ok. But the food selections were poor. Not Ok. First let me tell you about the omelet stations. Anyone who has been to an all-inclusive hotel has experience watching omelets being made. The guys at Park Tavern struggled!!! Struggled to the point that I wanted to make my own omelet! The line was getting long and my food that I got was cold by the time I got the omelet. Folks would go sit down and come back for their omelet. No fun. The food of course was a buffet. The buffet included grits, sausage, bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, potatoes and fish. Does any of this sound fancy? Right. Oh they did have a smoked salmon Egg Benedict and it was okay. The hollandaise sauce was not memorable. There were meat stations that had ham, roast beef and prime rib. The prime rib was the best part but it took the guy forever to serve it. You know why? He was trying to cut the smallest slice ever. My thing is don’t offer unlimited servings of something and then be cheap with it! Trust me folks are not going to go all out and run you out of meat! There was supposed to be smoked salmon somewhere and I saw it on one persons plate but never anywhere else. There was a French toast table but for some reason I didn’t see that either, I just saw some French toast on a plate. There were bread stations with croissants and muffins and a salad table. I should have taken the picture. There were two bowls, one with arugula lettuce and one with a cucumber/onion mix. Now honestly the cumber salad was pre-dressed and it ended up not being bad. And you may think yay lettuce let me make a salad. Uh no. There was like 3 – 4 things to put on a salad and I was so disappointed that I don’t even remember what they were other than I think some nuts. So sad. The highlight was the desserts. There was a chocolate fondue table and a table that had little cakes, fruit, macaroons and some truffles! Truffles are what kept me happy. I came to the conclusion the main idea was the Easter bunny and egg hunt they had for kids. But get this. They did the egg hunt in rounds, to obviously accommodate the folks that had later reservations. I was there for the first round. Annnnnnd. .They put out so little eggs there were more crying kids then happy ones. So the second round they put out like 50 million more eggs. But again, that seems like they were trying to be cheap and it did not work because the kids let off! I just went back to see the advertisement and they listed but didn’t serve, sweet potato soufflé, a seasonal mixed green salad, potato salad, smoked salmon, whole poached salmon, CHEF attended omelet stations and an egg hunt with great prizes. The prizes were candy, laffy taffy and tootsie rolls. Really??? They did not make us get up so we attempted to get every penny worth but with the food just being blah, the experience was just blah.

Very cool restaurant and venue-area. Sponsored by Southwestern. The ads are everywhere. I’ve been here for the ice skating rink during the winter and it’s great. Recently dined here with a few friends for late night sushi. HALFOFF from 10p.m. — 12a.m. FOOD –Surf ‘N’ Turf(14.99): Kingcrab, shrimp and avocado roll topped with wagyu beef, Walu sashimi and yuzu sauce –Firecracker(13.99): Spicy tuna, fresh jalapenos, shrimp tempura and avocado roll topped with tombo ahi tuna, firecracker sauce, spicy mayo, crispy shallots and wasabi tobiko The rolls were delicious and plentiful. Those are the actual prices, but they were half off. SERVICE Our waiter was very attentive. Refilled water. Drink orders. More sushi orders. He was very cool.
