The guy at the Hyatt told us to walk down on a busy Flroida/Alabama football weekend. I broke the rule of never taking advice from hotel staff. The service was horrible, we waited 10 minutes for someone to show up and seat us. Once we got to the table the poor service continued. We were waiting forever even for the water to hit the table. We were passed between two of the wait staff neither one of which gave us any attention. I ordered salmon and I think it must have been in the kitchen for days. The only decent thing in the place was the carrott cake at the ned. Do not wast your money here. I tried to find out who owned the place so i could contact them. $ 180 with a tip and a $ 30 bottle of wine for my wife and I as well as my teenage daughter. Daly’s was jammed and so were the rest of the places downtown so we were forced to this place. This place has got to be short lived. Poor service, bad food and total disorganization is the Prime problem. I trevel 150 nights per year or more and eat out over 200 nights a year and this is the WORST eating establishement I have been in that I can remember David Anderson Chattanooga TN

This place is a hidden gem in the downtown dining scene. I’ve only experienced lunch here, but all three times were excellent– top-notch service, food, and price. I don’t know how the dinner prices are, but the lunch prices range from $ 7-$ 14 for fantastic options(seafood, steak, salads, vegetarian, etc.) in an upscale atmosphere. The servers know what they’re doing and so does the chef. I walk over from my office building for lunch, so never had to worry about parking. I don’t think it’s fair to criticize a downtown restaurant for not having parking across the street or whatever. What were you expecting? Downtowns are for WALKING, duh. Plan ahead and call about where to park if you’re unfamiliar with the area.

Tragic experience. No parking for miles, horrible service and some of the worst food I’d ever eaten. I don’t even want to waste my time on this review. Stay awayE!

To start off, there is nowhere to park nearby. There is no valet parking, you have to park on the streets a couple of blocks away. When you first walk in, there is no one to greet you. You just have to wait around until someone notices that you walked in. The booths are nice, however they are missing candles, I like candles. And to my experience most fine dining places have candles at dinner. The wine list was scarce, there is no cocktail menu. They only serve ‘normal cocktails’ whatever that means. For an appetizer I had the crab cakes, they were fabulous, but tiny. For dinner I had the filet minon kabobs, I ordered my steak medium well, but it was beyond well done. It was completely dry and the rice I must admit smelled like sweaty gym feet. The stud I was with had the lobster ravioli, which was pretty tasty. Who doesn’t want to pay $ 21 for 4 pieces of ravioli. If you want to try it out, try it out fast. I am not expecting this place to be around for too long.

This week I check out a new restaurant in the mist of downtown Atlanta named Olympia Prime. This is a Prime Steakhouse with a Greek influence. Actually, to get a landmark point of destination, this place falles adjacent to the Georgia Pacific Building on 133 Peachtree street. I was fortunate to find this place because I stayed at the brand new Ellis Boutique Hotel. The concierge recommended we try them out, the restaurant is literally across the street, so we went. I thought the food was fabulous, we really enjoyed the experience. I think the newness of the restaurant and the willingness of the staff to appease their new found guests was impeccable. The minor flaws were quickly overlooked because they were so eager to make things right. I felt comfortable, my taste buds were happy and the overall experience was enlightening. This new restaurant is striving to raise the overall standard of a fine dining/casual place to dine for everyone. I highly recommend this dining experience to anyone.

Olympia Prime is trying to set a upscale restaurant image for itself and succeeds in many ways. Its a Prime Steak and Seafood Restaurant right under the Georgia Pacific building(the large red one). The environment seemed great for lunch and the prices were not bad for downtown Atlanta. I had a Turkey Burger(came with fries) for $ 7 and a soft drink was its usual $ 2.00. The food was good, but we had to keep repeatedly ask for more and more ketchup. They only brought the ketchup in small dishes about a table spoon worth each time. If you have three people eating burgers with fries, we need ketchup. The service lacked efficiency, but I am hoping they work their kinks out as the servers get more experience. I will probably try them out again. I wonder how they are for happy hour!
