For a hotel restaurant I did not have high expectations. The price is «hotel» prove so you pay for convenience. However, they offer gluten free and vegetarian options and have s nice wine list(again hotel up charge). But in a pinch it too tired to venture out, this is s great option. The salmon is great. Their burger and fingerling potatoes was very tasty too. If you are in a hurry, let them know as soon as you sit down, otherwise you may wait a bit.

Went here for dinner while staying at the Renaissance Waverly hotel. The service was great, fast and friendly. There was plenty of seating and the menu had good variety. I had the Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly with the center slightly pink. We also shared the hummus and topenade appetizer which came with a cheesy flatbread. Topenade was too salty for my taste, but overall the dish was good. I’d come back here while staying at this hotel due to the convenience and great service.

First the good: The manager was very nice and helpful. She did a great job. The filet mignon, although very petite, was tasty. Definitely not steakhouse worthy, though. Now the bad: The waiter was very nice, but not at the level required of a restaurant that charges premium prices. The Mac n Cheese was soupy and the creve brûlée was served cold. The latter was a very, very sweet version of the savory dish. I’d have to suggest walking over to the mall to try Stony River Steakhouse instead. Order the Coffee-Cured Filet Mignon and you’ll see what the local benchmark really is.

Go every year for a trade show, and every year it’s good to go. What really sets this place up is the Lamb dish they offer. For a chain hotel with this restaurant is kind of out of the ordinary, but man does the rack of lamb make me want to go back. Problem is, everything else I’ve ordered has been sub-par or incorrectly prepared. Steak overdone, and I had a risotto last time that was basically biting directly into a lemon. Staff is always good to go, attentive and will always correct mistakes, but it seems the only thing I can reliably order is the lamb. Not altogether a bad proposition. A good place to go if you stay at the Renaissance while in town for a show at the Galleria.

This review is for the breakfast buffet only. Their buffet was pretty average and personally I didn’t think it was worth $ 17. I wish they had a better selection of choices — but what they did have was pretty good. Buffet included an omelette station, applewood smoked bacon(LOVETHEIRBACON), sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese blintz w/berry compote topping, oatmeal w/toppings, grits, cereal, yogurt, fruit and bread. We did get complimentary shots of pineapple banana smoothie — yum :) Ordering a la carte is available if you don’t want buffet. I did like the quiet ambience of the restaurant — nice spot for a business meal. FYI self-parking is complimentary, and valet parking is also available.

My associate and I are staying at the hotel and had dinner at Medici last night Thursday. Only about 6 tables occupied. Service was good and the lamb was superb as was the bone in chicken.

Ate here because the weather was rough so we didn’t want to risk being on the road. We were seated right away and our server came by the table quickly. The server was attentive and had a good attitude without being over bearing. I ordered pizza and it was so-so. The cheese was good but the crust and sauce weren’t memorable. Great atmosphere. Solid but average food hotel restaurant.

Great deal for Cobb Restaurant Week: $ 20 for an appetizer, a half entrée, and dessert. Unlike other Restaurant Week restaurants, you could order off the regular menu, barring a couple of entrée restrictions. I think the dishes are smaller versions of the originals though. I enjoyed my choices: chopped salad(it was more like a regular salad, not really chopped at all), roasted sea bass with a lobster & tomato cream sauce, and a trio of bite-size desserts. The salad was a typical mixed greens salad, but with avocados, grape tomatoes and chicken(it did not have as many ingredients as listed on the menu). The sea bass was delicious– cooked just right(not overcooked) and the sauce complimented the fish very well. Even at a half portion, it was very generous. The dessert– a trio of cakes that was weirdly absent of any real chocolate(only white chocolate and some chocolate flakes on 2 of the desserts) — was disappointing though… cute in presentation but weird in taste. Though I liked my meal, it was a mixed bag from the rest of my table– some liked theirs and for some it was not great. The restaurant is inside the Renaissance Waverly hotel, diagonally across from the Cobb Energy Center. The décor is soothing and modern but not overly so… very much a hotel non-branded restaurant in its non-descriptness. The service was decent, and the restaurant didn’t have a ton of people. Tons of free parking for the hotel and the restaurant.

The décor of Medici is nice, we were seated quickly, and the initial service was good. The $ 20 Restaurant Week deal(1 appetizer, 1 entrée, and 1 dessert, though all half portions only) was decent. However, the experience overall was just OK, nothing special or worth going back for. I would certainly never pay full price, it was barely worth the $ 20 per person we paid. We had 6 people, so 6 appetizers(mussels, crab cake, roasted veggies, bruschetta, and calamari all just OK, and a salad that was nothing great at all), 6 entrees(scallops, lobster pasta, sausage pasta all just OK — two I can’t remember — goat cheese pasta was sort of gross), and the desserts were a mini-trio(no choices available) that none of us loved. Overall, we were less than impressed. Bummer, because it’s close to home for me.
