I am a fan of Little Italy because it offers some good pizza at a good price. I don’t really order any of the other options here because I have heard mixed reviews… but I can vouch for the pizza. You get a lot and it is rather good… not the best, but it is good. I usually get the Number 1 special that is 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink for $ 4.29. If you are vain and love watching yourself eat there is plenty of seating that faces a large mirror. Side-note: I have been ordering pizza from this place since about 2000 when I started my undergrad degree at Ga State and have returned since I started my MBA at Ga. State. It hasn’t changed much in 11 years.

Bored with Broad Street’s eating options, I decided to give Little Italy, just a couple streets over, a shot. The person responsible for creating an authentic atmosphere clearly tried, hanging large iron chandeliers from the ceiling, installing a lantern on a wall and hanging framed paintings of Italian landscapes. I ordered a 5-dollar personal pan pizza, which I had to wait about 20 minutes for. I guess that means it was cooked sort of from scratch. The pizza was huge and tasted good, except the crust – crunching like a Saltine. I won’t hyperventilate if I never go back, but I’m glad I tried Little Italy.

This place is pretty close to Georgia State University, but trust me, you would rather walk the extra block and a half to Broad Street for something better. The lunch pizzas and pasta were probably prepared around the same time I got to school that morning. If you don’t mind eating food that has been sitting around for three hours, how about not being able to make any changes to their menu? The calzone/stromboli imitation had every ingredient known to man inside and you can’t alter it, because they made it a few hours ago. Same for the pizza. GROSS!
