I am writing after giving this place a second try and will never go back. I grew up in the North and Italian food is much more plentiful up there so I am always craving it. This is nothing more than a bad chain I would rather eat Maggianos if I was desperate. First of all what italian restaurant have you been that does not offer bread for free, its part of the meal. Second the salad selection is minimal as far as traditional salads. The Caeser we tried was so salty and way overdressed. The first time we went I orderd a pasta sauce that was light cream with tomato, it came and no tomato. I asked the server if maybe I made a mistake and she said no that is how it comes the tomato is pureed in, well last time I checked tomatos were red and the sauce was all cream, it tasted like a bad lean cuisine. They brought me another sauce that was just as bad. Second attempt we ordered the cheese appetizer, so greasy the best part was the chopped tomatoes. We ordered the cheese pizza with 5 cheeses and instead of putting all the cheeses together they put chunks on different parts of the pie. The pizza again was so greasy and give you the pizza cutter to cut yourself maybe they think that is novel I think it is silly, just cut the pizza… Overall service was fine but in a nutshell I would say this is one of the worst meals I have eaten out and overpriced. Its sad that people think this is good quality, I can tell the ingredients they are using are cheap and the sauces are not made fresh.

I’ve been twice during happy hour on the weekend and was very pleased both times… After all you can’t beat their $ 3 mimosas and bellinis. On my first visit I was mainly there for the drinks, but was drawn in by the meatballs. On the second visit my hubby and I shared an order of meatballs and muscles. This was in addition to their complementary bread. Best part of it all was the inexpensiveness of it all. I think overall(after 2 drinks) our total was just about $ 20. Disclamer– i’ve never been outside of happy hour, but the prices on the regular menu seem a bit high

Food is ok, not amazing. I got the tagliatella salad which is apparently a «signature item.» mostly canned goods with some seafood, nothing special. Dressing is meh. The brunch eggs were a simple omelet, like any omelet. Biggest issue was the service. The waitress didn’t know they served brunch, and took a good while taking out order. Coffee took 20 minutes to get. There were 3 occupied tables in the restaurant, we showed up at opening on a Saturday. It took no less than 45 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our food. Can’t really justify the wait for this place, so I’d recommend skipping it.

Tried out the new Emory Point location. Loved our server, but aside from the great meatball app, the food was… ehhh. I had the goat cheese and caramelized tomato salad which was very bland… I was very unimpressed. Husband had pasta that was undercooked.

Early Saturday lunch. Empty inside except for one other booth occupied. Keeping it simple, I ordered the ribbony pasta(parpadelle?) with the four cheese sauce and shrimp. Perfect portion size for lunch and served with a saucer of olive oil and fresh herbed rolls still warm. Service was fast, prices fair, and perfectly delightful for a single diner like me on a quick business trip.

I really want to like this place. It’s convenient, clean, comfortable, and elegant. However, the food is below average and it’s very expensive for what you get. I came with family and friends and some of the dishes were pretty good. The pizza was good and they have Peroni on tap. My dish, unfortunately, was the worst pasta dish I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I’m not kidding. I had the rigatoni with shrimp and pepperoncini sauce. Pretty simple right? Wrong. The advertised«fresh made pasta» tasted like it was three days old. The shrimp were small and way over cooked. And this catastrophe cost $ 16! I could have done a much better job at home for $ 3. I would think that if you owned a high-end pasta joint, you would try to be better than Olive Garden. My Italian fiasco on a plate made me long for the soup, salad, and breadsticks from my college days. Such a shame, because this place had real potential.

Pretty good pasta. It’s not St. Cecilia’s or Sotto Sotto, but I don’t think it’s trying to be. Good tasting pasta at a fair price. Our server was very polite and helpful with the menu, albeit a little slow. We had the gnocchi and the mezza luna(ravioli stuffed with goat cheese and bacon) and both were good. Sat on the patio and it was gorgeous. Bottom line is this place isn’t going to blow you away, but it’s pretty good and reasonably priced. I would certainly reccomend it.

I’ve been here twice now. I had a pizza the first time and pasta the second. The pizza is on a very thin, crispy crust. It’s really more of a cracker than a crust. But they have this amazing mushroom and truffle sauce that you must get on your pizza. Also, their ingredients are very fresh. At $ 15, it is a bit pricy, but you’ll probably be able to take a slice home for a snack later. The pasta is an even better deal. The portion size was so huge that I had enough for 2.5 servings. And to be honest, I thought the pasta tasted better reheated. The sauce was a bit thin when it came out hot and it tasted better after it had time to marinate in the fridge with the pasta. I had the mushroom and truffle ravioli(detect a theme?), and to be honest, I didn’t really taste much mushroom or truffle inside the ravioli. Thus, next time I go, I’ll probably go for a pasta in the mushroom and truffle oil sauce. There is never any crowd at this place. I don’t really understand why since they are pretty decent and the service is great!

Came for lunch and was not impressed. Restaurant was empty and the host at the door was not friendly ATALL. I actually stopped by the restaurant because I heard good things about it on Unilocal. I ordered a meatball sandwich for lunch and was disappointed. Not very flavorful. Bread was a little soggy. Overall, I had a sub-par experience. Would definitely recommend that you visit some of the other great restaurants in the Emory Pointe area.

I dined here with a girlfriend a couple of days ago. The food was great and So was the service. The only issue I had was with the manager. He had Latino features and was extremely loud and obnoxious. He kept correcting the waitstaff like she was doing something wrong, When we were satisfied and just fine. I felt bad for her and tipped over 20%. He came off overly aggressive. It was very unnecessary. To the waitresses, you were amazing. As for management, get off Your high horse! There was nothing wrong.

Date night dinner that we really enjoyed. I still think about the Carpaccio Pepe Nero appetizer. Not sure I would drive across town for it, but we found it to be good food, reasonable $, comfortable atmosphere. Perhaps the décor is a little campy.

The ONLY reason I gave two stars is because the service is great. Unfortunately it is completely ruined by horribly mediocre food. Being from Chicago and an Italian family, I know what good Italian is… this is not that, nor anywhere close. Anyone who is rating this place well is either paid for their review or has never tasted good food. I don’t expect home cooked excellence but I do expect the risotto to be fully cooked and the meatballs not to be so laden with oregano that you can’t even taste the meat! This place is horrible.

As with all Emory Point businesses, La Tagliatella is IMO slightly overpriced for what you get, but what you get is definitely not bad. They were VERY expensive when they first opened, but have added a lunch menu and actively hand out coupons or have specials that bring the pricing in line with other EP businesses. The food is good; I’m not a huge fan of the décor(it’s a little gold/brass for me) but that’s certainly not a reason to stay away. If(like me) you end up walking to Emory Point for lunch a lot, this is the best place to grab a pizza and that ain’t bad at all.

Came here with my bosses from my previous job. I would never have chosen a place like this except for its convenient proximity to their office. And they kept raving about this place like no other. I’ll have to give it 3 stars for service. I have never felt so satisfied about service in my life. The server was always there when we needed him, and then some, but not annoyingly so. He also had the deepest sexiest voice… hahaha. He chose not to give us recommendations but instead critiqued our choices which was very different. Food, on the other hand, was average. The goat cheese and caramelized tomato salad was definitely interesting. I love cheeses so the fried cheese was an interesting touch. The caramelized tomatoes were a bit much for me… I wasn’t a big fan, as much as I love sugar and I love fresh tomatoes. The salame risotto wasn’t bad. I couldn’t finish it after all the bread and the salad. The chorizo was well done. The flavoring of the risotto was a bit strong for me, really strong of garlic and something I couldn’t quite place, but the sauce was pretty good. Nothing very memorable though. I’d like to give this place 3.5 stars… rounded down to a 3.

The space is beautiful, caramelized tomato dressing divine, fresh pastas plentiful. Do we go here when we want the most delicious Italian food? No. We go here when we want to be gluttons because sometimes that’s okay. Stop hating on this place, there are many restaurants in the area that deserve the criticism more than La Tagliatella.

I desperately would like the place to succeed. I live in the building. I have eaten there 4 times. Each time hoping for a change and each time disappointed. I eat at the bar and get an appetizer, a pasta and a glass or two of wine. There is always a weird vibe with the management correcting the waitstaff. I can image being a manager at a corporate restaurant is a horrible job. There is no need to take out your frustrations on college kids trying to get through school. The food is on par or slightly below the quality of Olive Garden or maggiano’s, depending on what you order. The carpaccio is ok. The pasta is really not good. The meatballs tasted like low grade horse meat. I would not have given them to dog. Normally my bill is 55 or 60 usd. For that amount there are countless better options. I really can’t image why one would not go to baraonda or tavola if they are in the area and longing for Italian food. I will not be so lazy next and walk down the street.

Food is awesome! Service is horrible. (Which was to be expected since the service is horrible at multiple Emory Point restaurants, such as Tin Lizzy’s, and especially Marlow’s) My girlfriend and I went here about an hour before close on a weekday night. We expected to be in/out in 45 minutes. We walk in to a nearly empty restaurant. There are only 2 other tables occupied. We are seated promptly, but that is when the fun began. The waiter came up to us right away, took our drink orders, and took about 5 minutes to return with them. When he gave us straws, he halfway beat then out of the wrapper around his groin area, and asked us to remove the half-covered straw from the wrapper in a very close vicinity to his junk. I guess he was trying to be helpful, but I can remove my own straw from the wrapper, thank-you-very-much. We placed our food orders, then waited… and waited… and waited. No bread, no nothing. 30 minutes later(I’m not exaggerating), the server comes out and says«We accidentally overcooked your meal, we have to start over.» There was only 1 other table left at that time. How do they overcook something when there is nobody else to accommodate? We weren’t offered anything for having to wait 45 minutes-1 hour for our food. No bread, no free dessert. I think he comp’d a tea for us. Whooptey do. Anyways I had the Lasagna which was awesome, and my girlfriend had the pasta which was really tasty too. I will maybe go back here just for the food, but if the service is not up to par again, I shall not be returning.

I tried La Tagliatella for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. We sat outside on the patio which was quite pleasant(even with the traffic from Clifton close by). The portions are enormous. There were 2 of us and we split 1 salad and 1 pasta dish and had leftovers. The Insalata Torre di Pisa was divine. It is a large tower of fresh mozzarella, eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes accompanied by a side of lettuce. Everything tasted so fresh; I was very impressed. The pastas are wonderful and are made in house. It is amazing how they taste so much better from boxed pasta from Kroger. My only complaint would be that our waiter kept trying to take our plates away while they still had food on them. I guess you could call this«attentive.» Personally, I think annoying is a better description. If there is still food on the plate and I have the fork in my hand I’m probably not ready to give up my plate yet. I will definitely be back here for delicious pasta and salad! Parking in the Emory Point garage is free for 2 hours before 5 pm and free for 3 hours after 5 pm. Metered parking is also an option. P. S. The emergency exit from the patio really does set off an alarm if you try to open it. Oopsies!

Came here for a birthday lunch with some of friends from school. Portions are huge, You can easily split a meal between two people. But the food was not all that great! I think my rating reflects more for the service… but even if the service was a bit better, I would have only added another star… also service was okay. First, he brought us the wrong order… and so everyone had their food and ours came out 15 minutes later, and then he never brought the sauce with it which came when I was done with the entire meal… Also, I probably was the first one to ask for the checks to come out and I told him that I have to leave in a few minutes(since I had to get to work pretty soon. and my check was the last to come out! I mean everyone paid/signed and left and 3 other people with me were the last ones to leave cause he was taking so long for our checks I would say, if your in a hurry, or want to grab lunch during your lunch break from work, do not come here because most likely you will be late!
