Best Challah Ever its upfront egg challah! Every Friday I get so excited to step foot into this store. Yes, its small, yes it doesnt have everything I like, and YES its a little pricey– but its a Kosher grocery store– every time I go I feel like I am donating. So ya its a little pricey who cares– its amazing and unique.

Kosher Gourmet is a combination grocery store and deli. This review is for the deli food only. I ordered a corned beef sandwich with mustard on rye and a quart of chicken soup. The sandwich was $ 8 – 9 and the soup was $ 10. I felt the prices were high. The soup contained no chicken whatsoever. I didn’t realize I was buying $ 10 worth of chicken broth with some carrots. The broth was delicious, but I expected more for my money. The corned beef was also very good. However, again I expected more for my money. The sandwich was not big enough to warrant spending $ 8 – 9. The sandwich was very dry with what appeared to be a thin layer of French’s yellow mustard. I expected something zestier and thicker. The person behind the counter did not ask me what kind of mustard I wanted, so I don’t know exactly what kind was used. Overall I was disappointed with my experience and left feeling hungry. My husband and I intended to split the sandwich, but it was not enough food for us. We were further dismayed after discovering the chicken soup was chicken-free. It’s a real shame because the most important part of the deli experience, the meat, was quite delicious.
