I visited on Mother’s Day and had a wonderful time with my wife and 3 young kids. I didn’t know that Kiku Japanese Steakhouse also acted as a Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament battle event inside. This place was lit like Dubai! I guess is was a special event planned for the special day. We watched the mighty restaurant staff on the red team battle the low-life public peasants over a misunderstanding of a bus-boy flirting on the job with a hot ass female customer. The big dawg brother didn’t take to keenly to that and started throwing fists as he felt disrespected by low-payed low-life workers. As the battle waged on billions of strippers and a camel were even a part of the scenery and were yapping like hyenas trying to stop the fight. The story ended horribly as both sides lost for not ever learning how to take the high road in life and instead resorting to violence as usual. It’s a miracle no guns or shootings happened, but then again who comes strapped and packed on a Mother’s day family meal. It’s a good thing me and my boy Rocco didn’t come down & rock’em sock’em all up in Dubai with my camel and my hot ass wife and kids yo. Why u laugh’n man, why u laughin! Who dat over dare. Uh oh, I’m still at the steakhouse as I type this review, better duck kids, there’s 5 incoming plates and 3 beers. Wagoooo! As a psychologist for 20 years, I recommend all these low-lifes listen to Prince, the great purple one, to instill some inner peace to these fools.

This was the first dinner on my weekend trip and it was a bad choice. From the front of the place, it looks nice, when walking in its more of a chaotic environment. The waiter wasn’t too attentive… the chef was very friendly but cooked too slow. The salad, the soup, my shrimp and steak hibachi dinner I will give two thumbs down. I was very disappointed with everything. I will never recommend this restaurant or return.

I am appalled to be sitting and waiting for 1 hour and 42 minutes to be seated. There were 20 of us but as we wait our number dwindles down to 12 because of the delay. I sit here and watch them constantly seat smaller number parties. The largest number party was 7 people. This place is not worth rating. I drove all the way from Duluth to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday. I was told a reservation was made but apparently not honored. I will not return.

DONOTGOHERE!!! I absolutely wish I can zero rate this place. We have attempted for two days to eat here. Day one, they do not take same day reservations. Even when we were a party of 16 and they said to come in and«take a chance» REALLY??? «But we look like not too many». Wow, come on. Ok. No problem to be safe, after all we are 16 people, Made reservations for next day. Called to confirm next day and they do not recall our reservation. Would not take our reservation. Said they kind of recall talking with us. I am extremely disappointed with the management and staff here. Manager was not helpful or cooperative. Willing to turn away a party of 16. «Come anyway. We will feed you. You may have to wait an hour or so. It will be late but we will feed you». What the heck kind of answer is this. Too bad Atlanta you have so few Hibachi places around! You have to deal with crap such as this. Do not go here. Do not honor them with your honest business.

Omg this place was terrible. My vegetables tasted scorched/burnt the waitress was slow and I had to pay for the nasty food I couldn’t eat. Nothing was fresh, the table was unclean and smell like it had been wiped with a sour wash cloth. Then when I complained to the manager about my food I did not eat he only took 15% off! This place should be shut down!

The New Orleans roll(add cream cheese)…is so good. Have tried 4 different rolls tonight and they are all incredible. Music is great, service has been fantastic, large sake is fairly priced. Great experience!

The saving grace today was the sushi chef. Affable, polite, and genuinely friendly. It’s too bad he’ll have to share his tip with the disappearing server because gratuity is automatically applied at your check. He took my order, she just brought water. She brought the water 15 minutes after I’d been seated. Instead of trying to be cute, please do your job. Service has worsened over the years. Nice place when they opened, now a subpar establishment. Got 3 stars because the sushi guy from Indonesia saved the day.

I gave it one star because zero wasn’t an option. The host and hostess on duty are completely incompetent. The hostess led us to the sushi bar to two dirty spots. She said she would get some one to come clean it so we could sit. We waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile she continued to seat others after is. As is walked past her leaving, I told we were leaving. Her response, «ok» and kept walking.

One of my favorite places for sushi and hibachi on my side of town! They have only disappointed me once on a bad day! They have some of the best sushi in Atlanta and the best south of town, hands down! I don’t know why I’m just creating a review out of all the years I have been going here smh! Better late than never! Anyway, my favorite rolls are the rockstar, New Orleans and now the volcano. Next time I’m trying the dynamite! If you are on the south side give them a try.

There really arent many good restaurants in the Camp Creek area(mostly mega-chains) so I was very happy to dine at Kiku. I did not do Hibachi and although the food came out late and disorganized(they forgot my soup until the end) it was rather good. The drinks were delicious and the sushi was pretty good, in my opinion. I’d definitely eat here again and try the Hibachi!

I can understand wanting to prolong the eating experience to a slow pace to enjoy the time and money spent. However, there is a huge difference between slowing down and inattentive. The wait staff filled my drink once in the 90 minutes that I was sitting. I did the hibachi experience and it was lack luster at best. I was extremely disappointed in the show. The food — It was eatable, but lacked something. The soup was more like chicken water with three paper thin scallions and a sliver of an eggy thing floating in it. The salad was even worst. The lettuce was old and beginning to rot. However, I didn’t noticed it because it was swimming in some non-descript white salad dressing. The steak and seafood was cooked well except there was an inordinate amount of sauce or sauces used to masked the natural flavors of the food. Thankfully, it came with a spoon full of commercially purchased vanilla flavored ice cream. So, it wasn’t a total loss.

Found this place in a hurry because we really wanted somewhere to eat and didn’t have much time to find a restaurant. Well first of all the reviews made it seem like it would be a great restaurant. Let’s start with the waitress and the service. Our waitress didn’t really seem like she knew what she was doing. I will say that she was the only one waiting tables in our area but still she seemed like something was off. She had to come back two times just review our order and make sure she had it right. I got a seaweed salad and it as a very large portion! So awesome! But as for our other food coming out! It was so random! People got their shrimp rice before anything else. The service must have just been really off this Thursday night. Maybe they were short off staff. The food in general was great and like I wrote it’s a huge portion of food!

Environment: Upon sitting at the hibachi table, I noticed that table hasn’t been cleaned thoroughly because it was sticky due to the oil residue that was left behind. Menus were very old, falling apart, and sticky as well. Food: I ordered the Filet Mignon and Shrimp hibachi. Unfortunately, only best thing about this meal was the fried rice that came with the order. Upon my first bite of the filet, I experienced a burst of stench that filled my mouth up so badly that I had to spit it out. I had hoped that I would have better luck with the shrimp, but shrimp was overcooked and had a rubber-like consistency.

This place used to be really good but now they require a 15% automatic gratuity, which wouldn’t be so bad if the service was actually worth 15%. Sadly it isn’t. The food is still good so at least there is that.

I’ll keep this brief, only because the food poisoning I got from here won’t let me risk a long review! This place really is as filthy as some of the prior reviews have stated. I thought it was just old and a little dingy, but the menus were kindof gross too! They are unorganized, unprofessional and overpriced for what you get. I got«filet mignon» and shrimp. It was low quality and for $ 30 I really could have just gone to Benihaha. They also have 15% auto-grat if you sit at the grill. Um. No. The worst part is that the food made me sick. Today is day 2 that I’ve had to stay in the house and close to «facilities». I try to give everyone a chance to rectify an unpleasant experience I tried to contact management. 14 phone calls and an email later, no one has answered the phone. I wondered why, then I check their current health score: 60/U And guess what they failed the most miserably on? THEPRACTICESTHATHAVETHEMOSTIMPACTONFOODBORNEILLNESS! Don’t believe me? See for yourself: Avoid at all costs. Now if you’ll excuse me… there’s yet another rumbly in my tumbly.

To sum it up the best way possible: this place was just«ok». As we all know, I keep it 100% pure Florida Orange Juice when it comes to any review! Let’s get started: Staff: We were greeted by a woman(whom I won’t mention her name) who really shouldn’t have been a «greeter». When it seems that it’s killing you to smile and be polite, that’s probably not the job for you! Now the guy that served us prior to the cook coming out had only been there 3 weeks and turned out to be really cool. His name was Grooms so I quickly asked him how he got his name! Lol He also had money signs on his fingers so I jokingly asked«do they call you G-Money?» And he confirmed this was true! Haha So G-Money took our orders and clowned around with us a bit and here comes the chef… The chef was cool but his skills on the grill weren’t that impressive. I’m thinking to myself«I can do that!»…Look pimpin’, do something that has a «wow» factor! I felt like all he truly did was damn near cause a house fire lighting up the grill and that was as far as the entertainment went. Why am I paying extra just for you to casually prepare a meal in front of me? Helloooooo this is why people come to hibachi grills in the first place! We want to see David Copperfield type magic while you’re cooking! The Food: The starters were some type of onion soup thingy and the common salad that every hibachi grill gives out. They were delicious and didn’t really taste any different than what most people are use to. I ordered shrimp, mixed veggies, salmon, and ended up with chicken for free. The shrimp was really good and everything else was kinda basic. The salmon lacked flavoring which was truly disappointing. Environment: The decorations were decent. I’ve been in these types of restaurants that really made you feel you just stepped into a location that was literally in Japan. This felt kinda westernized to me. The place was clean so hey, what more could ask than that? Overall: It was something to do. On to the next one.

I am giving this 3 stars only for the food. The food was decent, but the service lacked in quality and attention. I went in late on a Saturday hoping to miss the dinner rush. I arrived at 8:30, but I was just behind a group of 10, and another group of 15, who were there for the teppan side. I couldn’t even get into the door for 10 minutes with all the people. Once I got in I asked for a seat at the Sushi bar. There was a space available, but I was told it would be a 10 minute wait. After waiting 15 minutes I was called back to the sushi bar, only to have to stand there another 2 or 3 minutes and wait for them to clean the spot. After sitting down I waited another 5 minutes and did not get any service, so I stopped the bar tender and asked for some tea. Yet another 3 or 4 minutes before anyone showed up again to ask what I wanted to drink. Several minutes later I finally got my tea. I finished the tea in a few minutes, and waited another 10 minutes before my server returned to check on me for a refill. I had a seafood salad, a rainbow roll, and a viagra roll. The seafood salad was not very big, as you can see in the picture. The rolls were decent. They didn’t have to much rice, but the pieces were sliced very thin so they feel apart easy. The one thing that bothered me about this restaurant was that the add in an automatic 15% gratuity to the bill. This service did not deserve that tip. I will not be returning here any time soon.

Surprised I’ve never written a review on this place. I LOVE this Kiku! I can’t tell you about the hibachi part but the sushi is to die for. I have been going here for about 5 years now and I’ve never been disappointed with the food. My personal favorites are the New Orleans roll and I add cream cheese and the rock star roll. Drinks are pretty good as well I always go for the Jamaican twist, I get a buzz off of just one. I usually sit at the bar so I’m close to the sushi maker. Arsa always hooks be up and usually does a little extra. I’ve seen him go from a waiter to now a chef. It’s good to see the same faces when you go places. Downside is it’s usually packed with us colored folk lol I don’t mind it but some might get steered away from that fact. But don’t, you’ll defiantly be missing out.

Lots of theatrics… what you expect from a Hibachi house. The menu is very pricey, so be prepared to dig deep in your wallet. They charge extra for EVERYTHING! I mean everything! Wanna sub a vegetable? extra $. Is it your friend’s birthday? extra $ for a pineapple fruit platter and music played with a gong and Asian drum. Dessert is included in most meal deals but guess what dessert was? 1 piece of Ferrero Rocher(hazelnut chocolate ball candy) LOL Our chef, Tim, was very entertaining and prepared my medium-well steak to perfection. I ordered the Samurai Special for $ 28. It included: scallops, shrimp and filet mignon. Most every dinner includes chef salad and soup. They give you a house dressing for your greens. You don’t choose your own. It is best to make reservations on weekend days because our party waited two hours before being sat for dinner. Once you are seated, the staff gets the ball rolling pretty quickly to get your dinner out and on your plate.
