IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union

I don’t have an account here, but they co-​op with my credit union, so I’m able to go in and make deposits and withdrawals from my account.
I’ve only been working in the building where this credit union is located for a week, so I can’t quite yet tell when the busy times are. I went during lunch on a Thursday afternoon and no one was in the bank but the people that work there.
Either way, its now the most convenient alternative for me in dealing with my credit union.

had a savings account for years. out of the blue they began charging «dormancy fees». Just like a big bank they found a way to make you pay for nothing. Tried to close the account and a rep called me and left a voice mail begging me to keep it open. did not call back and the account remained open and those fees kept coming out of a savings account. Took a lot of time and effort to get account closed and before it was done they had gotten at least $ 50 for idiotic fees on a SAVINGS account. These people a sneaky and have no ethics — put your money under a mattress before trusting this «credit union». My account became their persona piggy bank.

A good alternate to big banks. Try not to go around lunch time on paydays, the lines get very long.

I have had a bank account set up here since I was of legal age as my parents used to work for IBM. And now even though I mainly bank with Wachovia I still have an account here. The staff is always very friendly and they remember your face/​name. I earn dividends on my savings account and I also have a credit card with a pretty good interest rate through the Union. This also makes things super easy because I can log online and and look at both my savings and credit as «bank accounts» and it has everything spelled out for me. I also have it on automatic payouts so that my bill is always paid through my savings and I never have to worry about being late or any interest rates. I also have good loan rates available to me however I haven’t used any of those services yet.
