Update: I finally did receive my shutters six months after paying $ 1200 toward the $ 1500 price. They are beautiful, fit perfectly, and seem very well made. They are superior in material and price to my neighbor’s $ 3000 set from Home Depot. I would be very glad to give GBT a 5-​star+ rating if I had any meaningful communications from them during this long wait, however for months the business went dark, it was frustrating that my calls were ignored, and it was quite worrisome that my deposit had gone down the drain. Mr. Banks did give me a $ 200 discount on the final payment, which he did not have to do, but I would have preferred to have paid the agreed on amount and had the work completed anywhere near the agreed on timeframe.
I strongly recommend that no one rely on Angie’s List. They were useless and their «support» is a meaningless, time consuming process that would result in nothing for me. Please note the Angies List new «price/​qualiy guarantee» covers only price OR quality, is limited to only what is paid directly to them, not the total paid to the vendor, and requires a premium membership at $ 29 – 59 dollars a year. Their entire business model is being attacked in numerous consumer and State Attorney Generals lawsuits — just Google «lawsuits against Angies List» to see how well AL is faring when held accountable for their claims.

Get Blinds Today posted a deal on Angie’s List. The deal cost me $ 250. I was very impressed with Mr. Baine, the Owner. When he left my house I had purchased over $ 1,800 worth of blinds and I gave Mr. Baine $ 980.00. I tried for months to get in touch with him, finally I sent him an text informing him that I would be pressing charges. He immediately got in touch with me. He had a ton of excuses from his father had passes to the orders were running behind. He returned with a gentleman who once again measured my windows. That has been almost three months ago. I have run out of patience and have decided to go forward with pressing charges. This is a warning to all prospective buyers DO NOT USE THIS GUY. AND DON’T USE ANGIE’S LIST. They have not been any help in reaching out to Mr. Baine. Angie’s List should have some responsibility after all they reaped the benefit of the deal that I purchased and I would have know a this company if they had not listed them. GET BLINDS TODAY IS A RIPOFF AND ANGIE’S LIST IS AN INCUBATOR FOR THESE COMPANIES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CONSUMERS
