It looks like a fast food restaurant but it’s not. It is strictly a take out restaurant unless your going in spring or summer. They have a front patio where you can sit. The food it good not the best but I’ve o my tried one dish so far. I got pork sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce. My sides were Mac n Cheese and baked beans. I also got a side of Coke slaw. I enjoyed it not like what the other reviews said.

All naysayers need to go away! This Is It always hits the spot to this Northerner Implant. The rib tips and the sweet potato soufflé are all I need to make me float away to my childhood.

I was exited to try this place. I had the BBQ Rib Tips, Mac & Cheese, and Greens. They also offer a 2 piece fried chicken for like $ 1.79 so I got that just for a taste. Unilocal also offers a 10% discount when you check in. Rib Tips: Very tender, smoked flavor. These were good but not great Greens: Good flavor and had some smoked meat in them Mac & Cheese: Gross. Wayyy 2 much pepper and not enough flavor. It sits in a warmer and wasn’t hot. It did have a lot of cheese though. Fried Chicken: They say they cook to order but I guess not the chicken cause it sits in a warmer like at KFC or Popeyes. I think they forgot to season the chicken this was blah Service: They are SUPERSLOW. Don’t go if you’re in a rush. Another person that was there complaining that she called in her order and still had to wait. I wasn’t greeted for quite a few minutes which is a big pet peeve of mines. At least say you will be with me in a moment. Decent food if you’re on a budget and in the area and don’t want fast food. Its in the same parking lot as the Cheveron. It’s a tiny little building and you coud miss it. Hince the name it’s a takeout spot but there are tables and chairs if you want to sit outside and eat

Food was okay not a big size portion don’t get fooled by the pictures on here. Philly felt and looked like it was to be in a kids meal hardly had any meat on it and we waited 25 minutes for it

Came here to pick up dinner for a large group and Tamika made sure we had everything we ordered and labeled it all too. The food was pretty good! I had the fried chicken which was amazinggggg… the philly cheese steak was alright… and the fried strawberry and cream pie was to die for!

Not the best BBQ I’ve had, but it’s good. I got the rib tips w Mac n cheese & collard greens. The Mac & cheese was good but had a LOT of black pepper in it. The collards were ok. I don’t think they were cooked w any meat. The rib tips were good, smokey. Tasted like they actually came off the grill. The sauce I got was the hot BBQ sauce-on the side. It was great. I would come back, but I wouldn’t make a special trip

I found this by accident because I had to get gas. I found the location a bit odd, but the food and the service was second to none! Don’t let the location deter you, the food is EXCELLENT!

There was a little confusion locating the restaurant… you will find it located in the parking lot of the gas station on the corner. That is where the confusion ends. The food is some of the best bbq we have ever eaten. We got a full rack of ribs and a half pound of brisket. Between the three of us we could not decide which was better. We got both with the sauce on the side and glad that we did. I don’t think we would have truly appreciated the flavors and seasonings of the rubs that were on the meats. Both were very tender and the meat basically fell off the bones. We also tried the collard greens, cole slaw, baked beans, and mac and cheese. We were not disappointed with any of the vegetables. My fav pick was the mac and cheese. One thing to note… this is a place to pick up the food and take with you but there are tables outside if you want to eat there(in the parking lit of the gas station). Definitely recommend this place if you want the authentic good olé fashioned southern bbq.

Saw it on Unilocal leaving the mall and the pics drove me to try it ! Definitely tasted great and all the food was freshly cooked. Would eat there again. There is no inside seating so on a day that’s not so great weather wise you’ll have to take it to go. That’s my only complaint.

The service was on point. Professional and clean which is very important. The have a full menu with a great variety to choose from. The make their sides fresh and the desserts are fresh homemade… delicious!!! My favorites are the mac n cheese, collard greens, red velvet cake, fried chicken is so good, burgers are juicy and the potato salad. It’s a small quant place cozy behind the Chevron Gas station in the same parking lot, so it may be easy to pass if your not paying attention. I’m definitely returning many times!!!

This spot is cool. I’ve tried the brisket, the fried chicken, and the chicken tenders. The fried chicken is definitely better than all the fast food chicken out there. I’m goin to keep tryin new stuff here.

Nice little obscure location alongside a gas station. Food is good, prices not bad. Beef brisket is good but the chopped pork is better. The chicken fingers are fresh and hot and the side dishes are good too. Sometimes they have music outside but not sure how long that will last. The service is good too. This is strictly a takeout location so there’s no dining and they don’t serve alcohol. But I like the way they made use of such a small venue. It looks like it was a drive in car wash that some gas stations have. Try the food it’s good and they also have prepackaged desserts. I’ve been there several times with no complaints.

Update: they’ve now added smoked BBQ chicken and a fish plate to the menu. Took a team there and I’m getting good reviews on the turkey burger and fries are top notch. Fried chicken is a tad greasy but cooked well if you pull the skin off. Mac & cheese is still a winner.
