Delicious & creative fine dining pop-up, and it is in my neighborhood… score! I followed chef Jarrett from when he did his pop-up next door at Candler Park Market deli counter… I had previously loved the ramen/Japanese pop-up(Gato Arigato) that frequented Gato at night, but when they left, Eat Me Speak Me filled the creative pop-up void in the neighborhood! One of the funniest menus you will read… love the entrée names(i.e. George Squashington, To Wong Tofu, Mrs. Troutfire, to name a few) and their descriptions(i.e. «pretentious flowers»). Menu is ever changing so I won’t spend too much time describing food that may not be there when you go… past highlights have included a butternut squash bisque that will make your knees buckle if you were standing(with toothpick marshmallows and matches for you to roast them with), and omakase in regular and large portions… tacos with yummy meat like pork belly or beef cheek, lots of veggies in creative combinations and gorgeous plating. The dishes are small, so you can order several to try and share… they also are adventurous so if you are a chicken-fingers-only kind of person and not into trying different meats, veggies, sauces or spices, this is probably not the place for you. BYO wine/liquor… Candler Park Market has a good selection next door. Oh, and follow Eat Me Speak Me’s Instagram… beautiful pics of food!

Food is always very fresh and good. Service is fast, and you will not wait for a long time your order. Cozy interior adds some specific feeling while you eat food. Everything is so delicious, and I don’t think it’s because I always hungry before lunch. I even recommend it to my friends.

I went to Eat Me Speak Me on a Friday night right when it opened at 7. It’s small but we didn’t have to wait long at all. We ordered 2 – 3 dishes per person, as they are smaller plates. We started with the sweet potatoes, soup, and cheese plate. Sweet potatoes and soup were great but I wouldn’t order the cheese plate again. We had the pork and catfish for dinner and they were killer. The different flavors and combinations were delicious. We finished with a blondie with great dipping sauce. Would eat everything again except the cheese plate. The reason I docked it a star is because our service was less than mediocre, the cheese plate left something to be desired, and they weren’t serving the custard, leaving only one dessert option. I would definitely recommend and go back. It’s only open Friday-Sunday and its inside gato diner. Great spot in Candler park.

I don’t have enough great things to say about this place, except trust me when I say to get the Omakaze! 1 portion is enough for 2 people to share and you pretty much get to try everything on the menu oh and sit at the bar so you can see the awesomeness as it happens! Jarrett and his team turn about amazing combinations of super fresh foods that are pleasant flavor surprises! The highlights were the soup, pork belly and custard, not to mention the tea at the end. There was nothing bad on the menu and we will definitely be back! Make sure to BYOB or pop into Candler Park Market next door!

Okra with chili sauce and salad with coffee vinaigrette appetizers were the best. We are 6 items off the menu, which is experimental and they were all phenomenal. You can’t read the ingredients and truly understand what you will get. You ha e to trust the chef and you should. Service is casual and excellent. It is outstanding food in a casual atmosphere.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. It combines amazing food, intrigue(the ‘speak me’ portion), and even better is it’s AFFORDABLE. Chef Jarrett Stieber believes that fine dining should be enjoyed by all and that’s seen in his thoughtful approach to his menu, combining ingredients that can be unusual and even funny. Who doesn’t love an okra dish being named«la vida lokra»?? Seriously, if you’re on the fence about coming here I don’t suggest you wait. You won’t be disappointed. …oh, and ask about eatmeyakitori. DOIT.

Eat Me Speak Me serves delicious food art on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights at the Gato coffee shop in downtown Candler Park. On Sunday, you’ll get a card with directions to a nearby speakeasy, where bartenders are crafting high-end cocktails on their night off. Tip generously — the drinks are free. EMSM’s food is delicious and artfully plated. Jarrett Stieber, the«chef de cuisine», forgoes the traditional meat + veg + starch combination and primarily sticks to meat(or tofu) + veg. I love it because I never feel like I’m wasting valuable stomach space on «cheap bean filler». I recommend the Omakase option — you can try most menu items… it’s worth it. And don’t forget to get a bottle of wine at the Candler Park Market next door! Last, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Jarrett’s Yakitori«dinner club». It’s the first or second Tuesday of every month. $ 60 for elegant foods on sticks until your can’t jam any more in your face hole. Ask him about it when you go!

Go. Eat. Here. Every single dish that this amazingly talented culinary virtuoso serves up is created with love and immense talent. We’ve never had vegetables that were so expertly prepared … so fresh and perfectly cooked. Don’t forget to BYOB.

Small dining place. Big treats! I think of this as creative fine dining that is reasonably priced. The menu is creatively named, many of them are puns of classic movies. Last time I went(around March 2015) they did not have a liquor license yet. However, we got a clandestine card that directed us to an address. that served alcohol. The adventure and intrigue of finding this symbolize how I feel when I try a new dish here. Check out chef’s instagram for fancy pictures. Menu can change each time. Dishes are more like«small bites» so come with more people and try more plates! One of my favorites is the pork belly(taco) that was very succulent. I took a chance on the parsnip soup and was surprised by how creamy, thick, and flavorful it was. Add to the experience by sitting at the high tops and watch the chefs work their magic!
