Love this place! Cozy feeling here. Great coffee. I like that the space can used by the community. Friendly manager. Check out the free library. Not sure if you know this but a small but well stocked food market is connected to the longtime coffee shop. Both owned by a non profit.
This is a very solid and nice coffee shop that’s almost an island in a sea of barren restaurants and other places to drink or eat in this part of town. The Community Grounds offers great coffee and espresso-based hot/cold drinks and baked viands to locals. This is a ministry-backed coffee house that’s set up to provide a gathering place for locals, I believe it’s non-profit. It’s also part of the Carver Community Market. The space is inviting, the coffee great and the staff amazing. What are you waiting for people?

Love this place its vintage décor and strawberry iced latte is the best. It’s the best little coffee spot and it has a grocery store attached and the staff is very friendly. It’s a neighborhood hit if you ask me. Don’t sleep on this coffee shop.

LOVE my little neighborhood community coffee shop right smack in the HOOD! Welcome to Historic South Atlanta! It’s nice, has wi-fi, cute little tables and lamps, and all that good stuff. Comfy seating areas. Bulletin boards for community events– everything you’d expect in a «real» coffee shop! We have it. It IS a REAL coffee shop! Right HERE. At HOME! It just makes you PROUD! You see the MACS plugged up, people reading, nice music playing, young baristas making coffee drinks. It’d be nice if they added some fresh homebaked pastries or some fresh juices or eats. The only thing I worry about, and the reason for the one star deduction is security and safety. Let’s be real. We are in a very(very) high crime area. I really think there should be one security officer placed discreetly here. I’d feel a bit better setting up shop if I knew there was at least a deterrent to someone bursting in and running everyone’s pockets and laptops. There is ample parking in the back. Scoutmob has an offer for a free coffeedrink!

Very cute and friendly! However the steam wand had not been cleaned in a long time and that is entirely unsanitary. I’m not saying don’t go there, but don’t be afraid to get vocal about your need for cleanliness.

This is a Awsome neighborhood coffee shop off of Jonesboro rd in South atlanta. This location share space with a thrift store. Owned and operated by a local ministries in the area. Parking is located on the right side of the building(mostly gravel). The coffee drinks are really reasonable. Better yet the pricing is almost about you would pay at a gas station but with Starbucks quality. Other than the the typical drinks they offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches, pastries, Ardens Gardens jucies made to order smothies. They also offer daily specials that are listed on there website. Like half off pastries on Wednesday and dollar off smoothies on Thursday. Service is great. Everybody in the coffee shop says hello. There is no min cc purchase. Free and fast wifi available. Plenty of seating tables and power cords is a huge plus. Over all great small coffee shop.

This is your neighborhood Coffee Shop, even if you are not a neighbor. Community Grounds serves organic, fair trade coffee at about half of what Sunbucks charges. Lattes, cappuccino, all of the fru fru coffee drinks. Local baked goods from a bakery close by go great with Tazo teas or Arden’s Garden juices. A good selection of healthy food snacks on hand as well as smoothies. Check out the new Carver Market adjoining Community Grounds. Great local grown produce. The South Atlanta Bike shop is next door as well. You can ride your bike, get your bike serviced do your shopping while sipping your favorite coffee. How good is that? Check them out!

There’s not a better example of a neighborhood coffee shop in Atlanta than Community Grounds! I have been coming to this shop for 2 years for my latte fixes and every time I step in I’m treated like family, it’s a great feeling. There’s always enough room to grab a seat and an outlet for a laptop. Also, their lattes are delicious and the baristas are very accommodating to customizing the drink just to your liking. An added bonus– there’s a really affordable thrift store right next door that you can peruse while you wait for your drink. Lastly, they always have creative art on display and for sale, created by local artists as well as jewelry made by local refugee women who are now financially supporting themselves with the sales of their handcrafted pieces. I love coming in each week to see what new goods are available.

Adorable! I’m in love. Cute coffee shop in South Atlanta /Lakewood area. I passed this place a few days ago and noticed they have free wi-fi. Again what else can a graduate student ask for but free wi-fi and coffee! Today I stopped by, with my handy dandy laptop and books. The staff is super nice! They were running a special based on the temperature this morning, so small coffees and lattes were only $ 0.33, YES33 cents! They have been running this special all week. There are plenty of outlets for charging laptops, phones, ect. There are tables, one large table for a group, and couches /arm chairs. The place is not super quiet since it is connect to a community store, but overall it is not loud and the other patrons were nice and friendly.
